Who are you in gambling (winner or loser)?

I would choose loser (loss) because, in my opinion, based on my own gambling experience, I have lost more often than I have won, and perhaps this is not only true for me but for almost everyone here and even outside this forum who gambles. It seems certain that most people who gamble are losers because they lose more often than they win, but the problem is that not everyone is willing to admit it. I myself am not sure if the number of losses and wins I have experienced are equal; it seems that the number of losses is indeed greater.

Anyway, I feel like I am a winner in gambling. Impossible to calculate if I am in profit or in a loss, but I can call myself winner because I dont lose. I consider that I dont lose, because losses dont disappoint me, I accept them and call them as my experience.

Of course I can't say I am more of winning but rather, I am more losses but what matters is, I am not actually trying to focused on the financial aspect otherwise gambling could be that hard to me because whenever you have always remembered how much you have loosed gambling would be a place of not putting any interest anymore. But the, we have to over see the aspect of winning rather also have to take the aspect of entertainment to console our loses otherwise it would be that hard for someone to keep gambling Even though they knew that winning is hard.

Ironically, those who talk about responsible gambling are not strictly the most responsible ones, but at least they are aware of what they are supposed to become in order to secure their personal finances.

It is easy to say but the real challenge is to show it in action. Even when it come to gambling being responsible is not that easy. You may want discipline but remember that the addiction to recovering lost money or making big bet on the spur of the moment these are not just a lack of mental strength these are actually the manipulation of our brain when we lose or in a win win type situation. This loss chasing or stubbornly increasing the bet after losing this is a bad habit that will put you in the same hole again and again even though you know very well that it is not the right thing to do

What I do to control myself is to set a strict border or limit for money and time and I do not break it in any way, if I follow these I can save myself from big danger. In fact most player end up sweating to follow these rule accrodingly. Because gambling hit those weak spot in our brain, we feel like 'this time I am in control' or 'everything will be fine with the next bet'

It will be very difficult for one to start counting his or her lost in gambling especially for those that do it almost every day, to me I do gamble mostly to cool my head off at my free time so I really find it unnecessary keeping records of all that. However the only time I can quickly remember even if you just wake me up from a deep sleep is when I won a thousand dollar and I intentionally bought something tangible with it so as to make it a remembrance to what I achieve so far with gamble.  From my experience in gambling over the years the only record that seems more easy to remember is success.

I was curious: how many users (at least within this section) actually gain anything at all at the casino? I'm not talking about the "entertainment" aspect, but rather the financial aspect.

I don't have to refer to my self as loser even if as of today and since I began gambling, I have lost way more than I've won in total, but that isn't a good enough reason to declare my self as a loser because for someone, nature has a way of making them become exactly what they imagine or conclude their self as..

There is a common saying in my language which if converted to English states that, "a person who calls his or her basket a Dustin, people will pack even their own dirt and pour inside the basket", what this simply mean is that what you take yourself as, is what people and maybe even nature will take you as..
So I am not a loser in gambling, regardless of the fact that I've not actually made profit from this gambling of thing, Both in times I do it for fun and in times I play to make some profit.

I didn't mean to offend or hurt anyone. I apologize if anyone interpreted the word "loser" in a derogatory manner. By "loser", I meant someone who hasn't achieved success (winning) in gambling. That is, someone who has wasted their entire deposit (repeatedly). Whether they enjoyed it or not is their subjective perception, which is of no concern to me. I tried to evaluate wins and losses from a material standpoint, that is, what was actually gained \ lost. Any gambler has the right to consider themselves the Napoleon of gambling , regardless of wins or losses. In this survey, I am trying to find out from a pragmatic perspective (profit \ deficit) what exactly the users of this forum have achieved in gambling. If there is only a deficit, that is, a loss of money, even regardless of a subjectively enjoyable pastime, then I call such a gambler a loser, i.e. who have not achieved positive results (wins that create an overall surplus) -  in my opinion, this is the ultimate goal for a gambler (I realize that many will disagree with me), just like a gold medal for an athlete. I repeat, this is not an insult and I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings.

Its probably best if the majority of us dont actively go and check to verify if we are winners or losers!

It would be different if one is a professional gambler and has made it a full time job or venture but as
for casual gamblers who are trying to maybe turn a profit its probably best to forget the losses and
celebrate to winnings - they ultimately give us a buzz.

Addressing the people who are addicted I'm not sure if its a great idea to go verifying the losses because
I would expect that addiction is tied into losing, I could be wrong.

If I have to answer in the context of this topic, I would say that I am a complete loser in gambling because I have lost 70% of the bets I have taken so far and I think I have won 30% of them. However, I am financially devastated because of gambling because although I did not take gambling seriously in the beginning, later when I participated in gambling for income, I started losing a lot of money. Now my family is in financial trouble only because of the losses I have made in gambling.

Of all the bets I have made, the most frequent and common outcome has been defeat, so I choose to be a loser (lose money).

I don't think about choosing the winner (profit) because I'm not sure if the total winnings I get from all the bets I make are greater than the total losses.

And if I calculate the exact amount of my losses and profits, I don't know for sure, but what is clear is that both are large amounts, only that the losses are greater in amount.

If you'll excuse me, I'll open the third nomination -- participant. I gamble for the sake of the game. Yes, I'm not a winner, but I won't say that I don't count my money. Unfortunately, I haven't grown to the point where money is spent easily yet, but I'm really looking forward to it. However, to talk and ask why I play, if I don't see frequent profits, then yes, I will return to the fact that communication with my friends covers all my expenses in the emotional spectrum of waste. Therefore, gambling does not always talk about losing; for some, it is important to participate in what happens during the moments of gambling and communication, and this is much more expensive than just money.

On my part, I usually gamble for fun; even if I lose, it's not a big deal to me because, in the first place, I'm willing to lose the funds I put into the casino anyway, and the amount I gamble here is limited, so this is totally for fun and entertainment only.

Though sometimes I'm also grateful that when I'm lucky I can also take home a win, and even if it's not a big amount, I'm still happy with the thing I'm experiencing; that's true.
I know that not all players are like me, but I'm always in the category of losing in my gambling.

That is one good thing about gambling with a small amount, the person will not face emotional torment, they won't feel regret, they won't chase after losses and you will still be happy that you had fun, unlike people who stake with the huge amount that they can not afford to lose, some persons gamble unlimited until they have lost everything. In gambling, someone can not just be one thing continuously, it varies everyday, today someone is winning big and tomorrow that same person is losing a huge amount that they put into it. It's just important for someone to know what gambling entails so that they don't go risking all their money in it.

As I expected, the "I gamble for fun and don't count the money" category is the biggest one. I'm also in this category. I've lost more than I have gained, but I don't care. There's a house edge in every online casino. Should we really expect to win more than we spend on gambling. Do we really have to gain something out of a toxic activity like gambling? There's no way to gain anything out of other toxic forms of entertainment like porn, videogames, drinking alcohol, but they are fun. The only thing we get from gambling is an adrenaline rush and excitement. Financial gains out of gambling are possible only if you are extremely lucky and you decide to quit right after a big win.

Indeed gambling for fun and don't remember well how much loss so far but this vote I am in number two as the gambler deficit due the loss, I can't remember how many loss when placing bet at sport betting than the amount of winning due multiple bet place always has one or two matches out from my prediction.
Honestly I have ratio around 70% dominance with loss and has 30% left only win but sometime I make cash out early before the match end, in my opinion many people make gambling is for fun only and don't care yet with how dominance loss than win because have limited allocate fund for gambling.

Only a very small minority don't gamble for money, and these are mostly wealthy people or at least people who don't need the money and they are very few. The vast majority gamble because they want to get rich, earn more money, or because they are poor people who think they can improve their financial situation through gambling.

I believe that the truth behind gambling is that the majority of them will lose more than win and this is just the way the system has been set up. The house has always got an upper hand and thus one can be guaranteed a constant profit and thus frustration normally follows. I think the more sensible way to think about gambling is that it is a form of entertainment, and not a sure way of earning money. When one gambles with the aim of making profits, each loss is painful and in most cases compels them to pursue losses making the situation worse. However, when an individual spends money he/she can spare and prioritizes the experience over the result, then it becomes much easier to take the losses and gambling will be less stressful in general.

I'm a bit of both; I believe I'm at zero. If I set aside an amount to bet and often use my winnings to supplement that amount, I understand that most of the time I'm neither losing nor making a profit. I've won large sums and never had considerable losses, but I wouldn't say I made a profit. I'd say that by doing this, I saved the money I would have set aside for betting. It's a strange calculation, I know, but it's difficult to explain...

Once I started thinking about this, my results improved slightly; before that, I was just a losing player.

This is indeed a mentality that has crippled a lot of gamblers because when you miss the mindset, you automatically will miss the approach and when you miss the approach, then you’ve completely missed everything. Even if this could sometimes be argued by many, I believe it has been proven already that gambling wins is mostly based on luck and so should be approached as a means of having fun and not otherwise. This for me is the best strategy and mindset any gambler can use, and anything other than this clearly means you’re inviting trouble.
