Why the hell is some people depending on gambling to survive? I can remember three brothers in my town who are into gambling since their school days and they are still in the slums today because they won no life changing money. I think to myself that if they get a job and depen on their salaries maybe their lives will be different?

I do not want to pretend like I don't know what you're talking about because it's insane of any truly depending to earn living from gambling without having a source of income but I'm still where those kind of gamblers get the money they uses to gamble and when they don't have jobs neither alternative means of living, how do they manage to survive? I believe they must have to eat and shelter or affords their immediate needs, so how exactly do they get money to gamble?
Meanwhile, I've also seen some gamblers like this in my area and this thought of how they get money for their consistency baffles me.
If there had also been addiction in such situation, getting a job won't solve the difference, they just have to be serious with their lives and gamble responsibly. So also have jobs but misbehaves.

Depending only on gambling is absolutely wrong, I mean in this modern era and to what use will gambling games offer, yet predicting games and knowing gambling is not guarantee, everything is totally base on luck nothing else either strategy works sometimes majority of the result won is just luck.
We’ve discussed this several times and the fact remains no one can survive with just gambling, such person need to get a job and make good use of his life although gambling is not bad but, as a source of income gambling is not helpful instead gambling for fun during leisure period is more appropriate and relaxing.

I personally believe rich people take much more pleasure and amusement by investing and seeing their wealth growing than going to a casino and gamble away whatever they have in their bank account for such deed.  

Well, most of them are going to invest rather than gamble, but there are still a few rich people who do gamble for entertainment purposes, not for young people, but I'm talking about old people who have already retired and enjoy their wealth by gambling, which is one of their ways to pass time and entertain themselves.

Anyone dumb enough to base their entire livelihoods on gambling are going to lose everything to it eventually, gambling isn't a job, it's an activity, indulging in it is not the problem, the problem comes when people more than just indulge, they decide to make it their whole life, once this decision is made then you are already on a spiral to your own doom, if we can not discipline ourselves then we shouldn't be gambling, because when you lack discipline and you lose everything to gambling then that's on you not on gambling, it was your own recklessness that led you down that part, gambling was just a catalyst along the way, the same way it could be a catalyst to pleasure if you know what you are doing.

Personally I would say to leave anyone with that mindset to their own end since that's probably going to be the most effective way for them to come out from that illusion but addiction can be a scary thing, you will see people who are losing their lives to gambling addiction but still won't be able to back away from it so rather than to let people find out how bad it gets on their own it's better to make informations like this available so that they will at least not be oblivious to the potential danger that comes with addiction.

Why they are doing it? Because they can, and I believe that these gamblers who are depending their life on gambling has a Plan B just in case things will no go the way they wanted to. Of course, there are some who have none and those are the ones that have miserable lives right now.

That is a really good approach to gambling in my opinion, to not be delusional enough to expect it to make you a millionaire, that is clear as crystal that most probably you won't have any problem in life because of gambling. The reality though is that most people do not think that way and that is why they make it a habit, a dangerous habit that can lead to devastating consequences for the one that chose this road. It is. That's a fool if he/she thinks that gambling is a way to survive, you'll probably be messed with it than survive. I guess you should let them have what their life choices are and pay no mind on them because having on someone else's business isn't good at all too. The biggest mistake that a gambler can make is to depend on it to survive or to become rich in life, it can happen but the probability is very low so it's better to gamble for fun. Even though I've always had a job and not depending on gambling to survive but I've tried whether I can become rich through it and I realized that it's a waste of resources for me so I stopped. I enjoy gambling more now because I don't have any high expectations to get rich through it. This was my first question when I read the OP topic. Maybe these guys don't work all the time, because there are always places where you can get a daily payment. Most often it is hard physical labor. And, of course, such a payment will be convenient for people who do not like to be tied to one workplace, but live their lives gambling with money that they managed to borrow somewhere or earn a little. Unfortunately, there are now many places in the world where people's standard of living is low, and they are not struggling to improve, perhaps having accepted the situation and hoping for a big jackpot in gambling. The sad thing is that they burn through their lives without thinking that one day there will come a moment when they will have neither the strength nor the opportunity to earn, and this should be taken care of while they are young.

Cases like this are not unusual in my opinion. In my neighborhood, there is a family like this. They all gamble, and I don't know what will happen to them because I don't think gambling will improve their economic situation. Although there is a possibility, I think it is more likely to make their situation worse, especially since I see no improvement in their lives. You are right, it would be better if they worked and had sufficient income.

Gambling is definitely for entertainment, gambling is chosen to earn money it will become a big threat to life. Gambling can never be a part of our life, all those People who have made gambling a part of their life have lost valuable time and lost valuable money and lost loved ones and gambling has become an addiction in their life.
