Holding is much easier, more feasible, less risky, and very easy to manage than trading. Another thing is that trading is a lot like gambling, if you lose here, everything is lost, and at the same time trading is a much more sensitive matter, because even a small mistake in research here, the loss is certain, but in the case of investment, it is a much safer matter. Bitcoin should only be held for the long term, bought consistently and continued to invest ignoring volatility, this is a very easy matter and it is not necessary to know everything, rather you can start investing through common sense, but in the case of trading, you have to research everything, make yourself fully skilled, then you have to start trading, but even after that, the risk is much higher. And so investment is definitely much better than trading.
Well I could be allow to disagree bitcoin is not automatically safe just because it is bitcoin hope you know? Yes it is the strongest, but holding bitcoin blindly is also a bigger risk…tracking down what happened in the past 3 years ago did you no that people who bought at the amount of $69k in 2021 and there were almost 2 or 3 years in loss, which I could still say holding is not easy, holding is psychologically hard….

Well I don’t want to say this out but do you think trading Bitcoin is actually less risky than trading altcoins because it's more liquid and less manipulated?

The only thing I noticed in bitcoin is just patient, if you could have enough patient while holding bitcoin is more better than trading but then the said investor must know when to invest, when to sell and the right to carry out whatever activity on the market because if you do not follow the sequential order of the market then you could find yourself running into loses.
Again, I won't also encourage anyone to go trade altcoin or even hold them because they are more volatile than Bitcoin whereas, Bitcoin is more stable and less volatile.

Well nobody said holding Bitcoin is risk-free or easy. But between holding and trading, holding is clearly a lot easier and less risky, and that's what we're talking about here.

Quote
Well I don’t want to say this out but do you think trading Bitcoin is actually less risky than trading altcoins because it's more liquid and less manipulated?

Trading profits mostly come down to the trader's knowledge and skills, not the asset itself. That said, trading an asset with plenty of data to work with, deep liquidity, and less room for manipulation is definitely less risky than trading one with limited data to analyze and that's much easier to manipulate.

Many people believe holding is better than trading in crypto but I think it depends on your plan, strategy and what you hope to achieve. When you hodl you it saves you from the stress of checking the price fluctuation everytime and panicking. Also, holding most times gives the coin enough to time to appreciate although this isn't always guaranteed.

Another thing is that when you hodl it gives you time to do and focus on other things rather than monitoring or worrying over a trade. When you hodl it gives you time and room to analyze the market without pressure that lead to emotional decisions. Make sure not too invest borrowed money because you might be forced to sell when the market is not in your favour. Also do not invest all your money in one coin or asset rather spread it across different assets because you never can tell which will be in your favour.

That right , everyone has their way of viewing things in cryptocurrency and everyone perspectives differs so we can’t disagree with others about what they choose to believe in either trading or holding when we don’t actually know how they see things through their own perspectives in the cryptocurrency industry. Either someone prefer trading than holding or prefer holding than trading they all have what they see and why they make such decisions and generally both the trading and holding is a good choice and it can generate profits for them us when we follow it up with responsibility and cool mindset and not get rich early mindset.
Absolutely, not that their choices are wrong, as they may have their own experiences concerning their choices. But it is necessary for people to dedicate time to understanding how the market operates before taking any step, because at the end of the day, it's about what works for them and what they understand best. So when people have this mindset, they will find it easy to navigate through challenges and protect themselves from common mistakes that could ruin their plans.

Holding Bitcoin for a long time will give you a much higher chance of success, altcoins are a lot like gambling, because many altcoins disappear in a short time, and trading is also very risky, compared to these, investing in Bitcoin is much more reasonable.
People usually invest their money in risky places like trading or altcoins to get rich overnight, they think that altcoins will make them rich overnight, but they are never good. We cannot get rich overnight from trading, nor can we get rich overnight from anything. Of course, we have to be patient and invest in the right places with patience where realistic prospects are available. Holding Bitcoin for a long time will create a very good chance of success, and this has been proven very well from history.

totally agree. staring at charts all day trying to day trade just feeds the exchange fees and fries your brain. dca-ing into bitcoin and just holding through the noise is way more rational than gambling on random pumps. cut out the shitcoin noise and let time do the work—definitely the smartest survival play here.

That’s true, but some people finds it profitable because they are used to it, and they make some money from day trading, even though I believe that it is possible, but the rate at which they lose money can be higher than the rate at which they make profit if they can have an average analysis of all the money they have been spending to trade on daily basis and the fees exchanges take from them.

Holding Bitcoin is more profitable than trading daily, it comes with less risk if you keep the Bitcoin safe, while trading have to be done in exchanges, sending coins from one exchanges to another always and studying the crypto market to avoid losing money, it is stressful but many people chose the path to make their money.
I also trade but occasionally, it is good to trade and also find way to invest in Bitcoin, rather than just trading without investing in Bitcoin.

I think before these two, it is important to choose the right coin. Suppose you are deciding to hold instead of trading, but you are choosing to hold a coin that has very low reliability, then we started one step behind in choosing the coin. So I will say first, no matter what we do, trading or holding, we have to choose the right coin first and the right coin is always Bitcoin. Holding is easier than trading in Bitcoin and I have experienced this myself. Holding can usually be done at your own discretion and since its purpose is long-term, it does not require much thought when it comes to market changes, but in the case of trading, things are completely different. Since the main purpose of trading is short-term profit, traders always have the intention of buying at a low price and selling at a high price.

You have made important recommendations in a short paragraph. We need to give importance to accumulation Bitcoin regularly instead of wasting time on unnecessary short term trading. In fact, we sometimes forget that our trading strategy of earning quick profits is very risky. We need to accumulate Bitcoin for the long term through any size of fund.

The price will increase or decrease in the market but accumulating Bitcoin in the DCA method will be easy and fruitful. We need to accumulate Bitcoin regularly regardless of the price and through discretionary income only then will we ensure the right use of time.

Investing in Bitcoin for the long term is wise, short term trading is not a better method. The sooner you learn to understand these things the easier it will be for you to prevent wasting time.

You’re very correct and I agree with you. If trading doesn’t work for you, what you need to do first is to improve your skills before you even think of giving up. There’s no shame in accepting that trading isn’t entirely your thing, just like you have said. make sure you have tried your best to understand it.

Holding is better than trading to me because it's less complicated snd doesn't involve much complexities unlike trading that has too mcuh risks. One thing about investments is that there's no permanent loss especially when you are focused on investing in bitcoin, no matter how much the price of bitcoin reduces to investors are always going to recover at some point but in trading losses are permanent.
I totally agree with you. Yes, it's true holding is simpler than trading actively but the thing that makes your argument weak here is saying that Bitcoin investors always recover. If we look at the past, it's true Bitcoin recovers, but it doesn't mean it will go the same way in the future, declines and then again hitting new highs. Maybe someone buys it at a high, then he has to wait years, like when Bitcoin reached 100k+ last time and again it's not guaranteed. And losses are a big part of trading and holding. Maybe after buying, that asset didn't break through the basic price at which we bought. But difference is, holders don't have to make quick decisions like active traders, which reduces extra pressure. It's simple to hold but here in this space, simplicity doesn't guarantee profit.

No doubt, holding Bitcoin is still one of the best ways to come out ahead in this market. History has proven that. That said,  calling every altcoin gambling just isn't fair. That only holds for shitcoin and memecoin, you can't throw ETH or XRP in that bucket, they've been through multiple market cycles.

Sure, they are riskier than BTC, but that doesn't make them gambling.

If anything looks like gambling, it's trading imo. Plenty of folks are gambling and just slapping a trading label on it.

For most people it is.  I am trying to get people to test my Governance Execution Platform, Acervator but seems folks are not interested, think everyone is a scammer with ill intent or does not know what they are talking about, or thinks day trading is a bad idea.  I am quite confused by all of it after taking a 3+ year break to study and develop the strategies now contained in the platform.  It has its own thread if anyone wants to assist with feedback or development.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5595296.0

I am even making my live trading evidence public in the Product Manual to help alleviate doubts.

Thanks,

Let me brief it.

Trading is good if you understand it, but some people will never understand how to trade but they will continue to lose. If you have been losing in trading, it is a good advise for you to just hold for bull market to come. You still have time to earn weekly or monthly and safe part of your money in bitcoin and make more researches but avoid shit coins. Do not let it be too late before you will understand this. There is opportunity in crypto.

But if you are making money in trading, it is good for you. Earn money and hold also.
Well I will admit that trading isn't technically for everyone, but like they say, a person who isn't ready to make losses in trading can never make profit. I believe losses are all part of the journey, though but if you think you don't have the right capital or you can no longer handle the losses, then you can leave and maybe end up investing in Bitcoin or any other assets that you know have value. That said you can invest and also trade, that's if you have the right amount of capital to do both but yeah, it's certainly not impossible because having many sources of wealth is better than having just one. The logic remains in the fact that everyone is different though. That's all........

There is no job that a person cannot do if they want to, it is not impossible to learn trading completely, it is definitely possible, if you work hard and spend a long time behind it, it is definitely possible to get something good and it is possible to develop yourself very skillfully here. But yes, there comes a point when despite people's efforts, they are always facing losses in it, no matter how hard they try, it is not possible to reduce their losses, if there is no way, then it is not wrong to decide to rotate yourself to the other side. However, you should not give up on anything before trying your best. First, stick to it with your best effort, try till the end, people can do anything if they want, but there is no obligation for you to do just this, rather you should go for what you are most suitable for.

I think holding makes more sense for most people, especially if they don't have the time to follow the market every day. Trading isn't necessarily bad, but it takes discipline and proper risk management. The problem starts when people treat it like a quick way to make money. Personally, I think a long-term strategy with realistic expectations is a better approach for the average investor.
Following the market is not easy at all and you will have to learn so many things that will take you time and that have been reasons why you can get to know everything that will make you profitable. You can make money from trading but you will have to be an expert that knows what they are doing. I prefer investing than trying to trade the market when you don't have adequate information about what will assist you to make money without losing everything.

It is possible to make money through trading. However, knowledge and skills about the market are required. You need to improve your skills through regular practice. You cannot become a skilled trader just by looking at the chart or following the signals given by someone else.
In trading, market movements do not always move according to your expectations. Even if you have good knowledge about the market, it is not possible to make a profit on every trade. You need not only to know the strategy to make a profit, but also to have the ability to handle losses.
Many new traders trade with more money than they can afford in the hope of making more money quickly. After a loss, they take more risk while trying to recover that money quickly. In this way, wrong decisions can wipe out their capital.

The price of Bitcoin can drop a lot and the expected profit may not come for a long time. Therefore, it is important to have the ability to accept losses and not invest the money you need. You should not invest money in Bitcoin that you may need in a short time.
Those who do not have sufficient knowledge about the market should not start trading just in the hope of making money quickly. Trading can be more risky for those with limited capital and would be at risk of financial hardship if they lose it. It may be more sensible for them to first strengthen their financial foundation and create a long-term plan according to their capabilities.

Holding is better than trading for me because it's less complicated and doesn't involve as much complexity, unlike trading, which has too many risks. One thing about investments is that there's no permanent loss, especially when you are focused on investing in Bitcoin. No matter how much the price of Bitcoin reduces, investors are always going to recover at some point, but in trading, losses are permanent.
I totally agree with you. Yes, it's true holding is simpler than trading actively, but the thing that makes your argument weak here is saying that Bitcoin investors always recover. If we look at the past, it's true Bitcoin recovers, but it doesn't mean it will go the same way in the future: declines and then again hitting new highs. Maybe someone buys it at a high, then he has to wait years, like when Bitcoin reached 100k+ last time, and again it's not guaranteed. And losses are a big part of trading and holding. Maybe after buying, that asset didn't break through the basic price at which we bought. But the difference is, holders don't have to make quick decisions like active traders, which reduces extra pressure. It's simple to hold, but here in this space, simplicity doesn't guarantee profit.
Trading is for professionals, but holding, especially Bitcoin holdings, can be done even by a newbie who has nothing but just Capital to buy and hold.

But Trading is something that not everyone can do effectively without losing their money along the way before they can eventually learn how to handle their trading risks.

Although trading to an expert is a quick way to make some money, but not on a reliable extent unless for those professional trader.

It's not some, that's the plain true about investment. If I have money to buy 1 Bitcoin, I will do that and focus on other things than sit down in front of my computer and be looking for the next coin to buy and then lose everything. I know I can make more doing trading but the ease, peace that comes with holding of a coin is unmatched. It's uncertain but leave it for Bitcoin, it will gives you more than you invested as long as you can hold it.

You know that you can hold a coin, the price can go up and then go down and after some period of time, it will go 10x from there, this is what I have seen Bitcoin does but you can trade, make 10x of your capital a year and then lose everything with one bad trade and you are probably going to use another year or years to sit on your pc drawing charts like an architect. Grin  Trading is profitable but I will take soft work over hard job.

One thing you need to keep in mind when it comes to trading or investing is that it cannot be used as a source of income initially. Gaining experience should be given importance and long term investment is the best way to make a profit. And if you want to make a profit immediately, trading is good but the risk is much higher and you need to be experienced. Inexperienced or less experienced traders have a much higher risk of loss.
Everyone is on the trading platform to make a profit but the best decisions come from experienced traders and they study the market so there is a higher chance of making a profit. My advice for inexperienced or newbies is to focus on long term investment rather than trading.
