But why do some people lie to themselves and also lie to people who don't fund their gambling life about their purpose of gambling? I just admit and tell people the fact while I'm gambling in the first place. Even if it's against the real rules and what some might expect to hear, it's better to have a defined purpose, work towards it and try not to go against your own rules than punish yourself with lies.

Personally,I’m into gambling for the fun and not after the money.Most gamblers might not say the main reason why they’re into gambling.The reason why I can’t stick to gambling 24/7 is because I’m a healthcare practitioner and during my work hours I can’t give my whole attention to the casino,it would be unprofessional for me to do such,so the fun Im talking about is the fact that I could catch up with the fun during my leisure hours_{not at the work but rather in my comfort zone.}.If a person would gamble for money then they’re expected to be at the casino 24/7 and I can’t do it because of my busy schedule,making me to gamble for fun.

It's hard to admit that for some reason, other gamblers are just gambling for fun. They do understand that gambling can never guarantee them with profits so it will be best if they would seek entertainment from gambling, that way they may lose but they still get the fun and entertainment they are looking for.

You have a point when you say that you attempted to make gambling a form of entertainment and not a means of earning money and that kind of think process can certainly aid in minimizing the chances of getting addicted. The difficulty lies in the fact though, that it is easy to simply lose track of the fact that someone is only playing around when, in fact he or she is making money or is losing money and is not even aware of it. It is at that point that self-awareness comes in quite handy. In the past, I tried to change my life from gambling but I realized it wasn’t that simple. Gambling is made for entertainment, so it is better to keep it limited to entertainment because when someone sees gambling only as entertainment, they do not have the mindset of making money. I always say well about my gambling, which is for fun with a little hope about luck in it that can make unexpected money, so I admit it about all that without having to separate it, only with the goal of seeking profit it must be based on a mature mindset, you must still have limits in gambling, have wisdom in the use of money and control your ambition here, otherwise you will see the casino dredging up your wealth.
It's not good to always lie to yourself by covering up your true intentions, be open so that people can see you and if you are in a bad state in gambling, maybe they will give you useful advice, we don't know whose words can save you one day.

You are another person that will be telling us that they are gambling for fun not for the money. You need to tell us how you are going to feel when you are not making profits from gambling. You are absolutely right, there is indeed too much disappointments for those who expect to win big from gambling, this used to be my experience as well some 2 to 3 years ago when I gambled majorly for money but never got it most of the time, I find myself angry and disappointed and sometimes, I end up transfering the aggression to other people around me which I always ended up regretting at the end of the day.

But after one experience I had in 2022, my perspective on gambling changed for ever and I forced myself to learn to gamble for fun and nothing more, and so far, the experience has been good because I started being a happier person regardless of whatever outcome I get from gambling. One can only be disappointed in something they expect something from which they ended  up not getting, but when one participate in an activity and they expect nothing from that activity, they are happy regardless of whatever the experience is with that activity.

If gambling is working against you and you keep on lying to people that you are winning or that you're gambling for fun whereas, you are not. You're only deceiving yourself because in reality, you will suffer your losses or put yourself into a big punishment. This is why we must be truthful because you don't know if the person you are talking to has a solution for your problems.
