Are we really telling ourselves the truth when we always said we gamble for fun.

Having fun is actually part of gambling, and we can't deny that others are here to experience that fun. But, seriously speaking, that's not their main goal, its still to make profits and increase the amount of their money.

Gambling for fun alone is just an excuse, most especially if they see theirselves that they are not really good and confident when it comes to gambling.

But I must say, its better to hear them saying they're here to enjoy the games rather than to make a living, that way gambling addiction will be lessen in number.

I used to play poker professionally, so yes, I understand why people say gambling is fun. There is definitely a thrill in it, and for many people that excitement is real.

But I also think we should be honest: even when it starts as fun, it can become destructive very fast. The line between entertainment and obsession is thinner than most people want to admit. When money, ego, and emotions get mixed together, gambling can stop being fun and start damaging your life, your mindset, and your relationships.

At first, when I started gambling, I was gambling for profits because I wanted to use gambling as a shortcut to riches but in the long run, it was the opposite and I discovered that gambling isn't a job that can give me what I want.

Currently, I'm gambling for fun because I'm already used to gambling and that's the only way I can gamble without losing much and getting addicted. I prefer putting a little amount of money on my favorite clubs when they're having a match in order to enjoy the fun better.

That's when I start seeing to gamble for fun. And it works on me, I'm no longer stressed pressuring myself to make money with gambling.

The truth still remains that the vast majority of people that are into gambling are doing it to make money, not just small money but plenty of them. I’m doing it for fun is just being used to cover up the whole thing since anyone doing it for that reason can’t be said to get addicted overtime. So also, with the stigma in the society about being an addicted gambler, many people don’t want to be called that or see themselves in that position.

I have also seen people coming to gambling to just make money to get start up capital for their business, that looks genuine but sometimes with the luck nature of gambling, they lose the money and while trying to chase their losses back, they at some point get addicted also. This question is really complicated to me because, what every gambler will be saying when asked about gambling is that he or she may be doing it for fun. But the fact is that most of the people gambling is not gambling for the purpose of fun but, is after making quick cash. I can only speak for myself, because I don't know about others. At first when I started gambling, I never started it for fun nor for entertainment, I started with the earn of making profit, but overtime I came to realize that gambling is not something you should put your mind in, because it a game of chance nothing is certain.

No matter how someone starts, anyone who comes into the gambling world comes with the aim of making profit and that is the truth. Some people may say they are just doing it for fun and that is fine as long as they can manage everything properly. People may have different reasons for entering gambling but the main goal is still to make profit. I also used to gamble just for fun before but now sometimes it feels like if profit comes from here and then earning money becomes easy.

Still try my best to stay in control and so far I have not gone towards any kind of loss. But truly, this is a very tough space when it comes to keeping yourself under control.

I think if you did a survey the top result might be playing because Im bored or similar like, not super serious not fun exactly just a past time to play.   The second reason I guess would be about winning money or maybe equally with fun, but the idea of win or maybe I get lucky is always going to rate highly.

I truly gamble for fun, do I make a lot of money from betting? no. And that's why I am serious if I say that I am gambling for fun and if I lose, I chase sometimes because that's also fun in me but I am taking my losses and not denying it if I am in profit or not. For now, I'm already gambling for fun because I have already overcome that phase in life where I gamble to satisfy my greed and make money. I honestly don't see any reason why anybody should lie about their main reason for gambling when we see that we are not sitting face to face with each other, and Gambling also is not a bad thing, so I really don't get any any one will gamble solely for money and profit but then when asked their reason for gambling, him or her will say that he's or her reason for gambling is to have fun, I really don't understand..

For me personally, I've always been plain about my reason for gambling, I used to gamble solely to make money but after an experience I went through, that changed, I realized that I can't make the type of money I am seeking to have through gambling because I am not always lucky here, so I decided to start treating gambling as a fun activity to enable me have absolute control of myself.
