Crazy reasons such as what, you should have given example of the crazy reasons you are referring to but however, a lot of people gamble for other reasons which is practically not because of the fun of it, in fact, many people gamble to make profits from gambling but as a wise person you should just gamble for the fun of it so that you don't become deeply involved to an extent that you become addicted. This is just a matter of how gambling is supposed to be versus how people are following gambling. It's so bad that gambling has eating deep in the lives of many people such that they think about gambling each and everyday when it was supposed to just be an activity that should be done sometimes and not all the time.

We gamble for fun. It is not always true. We console ourselves by saying this, but we cannot accept it. The reason is that if we gambled only for fun, we would never use the amount of money that we cannot afford to lose. Everyone has a kind of greed that something much bigger is possible if we gamble. With this thought and hope, everyone continues to gamble and console themselves that they are gambling only for fun and tell everyone that they are gambling only for fun. If this is the case, then why can't everyone accept their losses easily?

At first, when I started gambling, I was gambling for profits because I wanted to use gambling as a shortcut to riches but in the long run, it was the opposite and I discovered that gambling isn't a job that can give me what I want.

I do catch fun from gambling especially when I playing some special games like Roulette and even slots. Many things makes it fun like the sound and even hitting big multiplier. However, it was not just the fun that makes me gamble, I still want to win too. Furthermore, there are some games I bet because of the team or player (for single man games like Tennis) I support, I do this exclusively for fun and a way of matching words with action in terms of my support for the team. Irrespective of what the outcome of such bets, I still feel good because I bet on my favorite team. As far as I know, humans have melancholy and emotional traits, both of which are often used during activities, overall humans are analytical, sensitive, and perfectionist and where moods change easily and are reactive in gambling activities, that is what makes us able to twist words that are the opposite of true words.

I mean that humans are perfectionists, they admit that the actions and behavior they do are really good for themselves, in fact in gambling there is no pleasure to be had, on the contrary it is stressful, depression and so on, we are not talking about winning gambling, we are talking about having fun.

I think most of the gamblers are doing it for the profit, I didn't meet a single gambler that tell that he or she is just doing it for fun and doesn't care at all if he lose or win, the money and profit is always going to be involved on it and it is always going to be a thing or reason, but lets just say that it might not be the first reason, but money is always one of it.

Personally I would just say that the main purpose is taking a profit and making some kind of money, but most of the time it was just not realistic since most of the gamblers are not really making money most of the time we are just losing it, but I guess it is just way too easy if you win, lets just say that it was a risky shortcut where you might multiple your money fast or maybe lost it. No one has intentionally gambled for fun and entertainment so anyone that goes about saying he gambles for fun is lying because who would be spending his money betting without looking for profit?,  using myself as a typical example, I do bet for profit not fun and the reason for the increasing rate of gamblers gambling is for profit and means of survival due to lack of Jobs and unemployment in the country.

Though I understand that I can't generalized the aim of everyone gambling to making profit as some persons are actually gambling for fun and entertainment but majority of people gambling is for making profit and survival. I made a comment on a discussion simulator this some few weeks ago. You can gamble for fun and still expect to win. Gambling for fun doesn’t mean being reckless and not expecting to win at the end. I don't care what people think about gambling, as long as I'm using my money and I'm not using another persons fund, I will gladly say with open chest that I gamble for money, I do not use casino and betting apps for fun, they are not even fun to begin with. If I want to go and get fun, I know where to get it done myself. I deposit money there for the purpose to make it higher and bigger and not to play around losing it all to the betting platform.

Back then, I used to spend my free time playing video games like Mobile Legends and Dota 2. But once I got bored with those games, I started looking for other forms of entertainment, and gambling ended up being the right place for me to enjoy my spare time. This may not always be true because our intentions are not always the same due to which we cannot control our own thoughts at different times. Gambling is a fun thing, it is true and as long as you play gambling games, you will like it a lot because these games are very interesting. And on the other hand, we have an addiction to winning because if we win, we get back the money several times over. That is why we may always say that we gamble for fun but at maximum time we gamble emotionally.
