I don't understand how Safecoins are supposed to have any value.
Why one should exchange something valuable (BTC or MSC) for an altcoin which have no utility? Is MaidSafe plan to have a business model one day or MaidSafe consider business model are thing of the past since "any useless altcoin have value so why not ours" ?
I think MaidSafe is rewarding those who host decentralized storage with safecoins, and the means through which you buy/rent storage space are through Safecoins That would make senses* but why haven't they write that somewhere in evidence to inform the investors? (or maybe I missed it) It's weird, they are doing an IPO but they don't even bother to explain why the shares they are selling will have any value, and no one seems to care. *edit: actually I don't see how someone can sell storage space for Safecoin since everybody already earn free Safecoin by doing so. Right now the only way it could work is if people fool themselves by thinking Safecoin will have value. But again Safecoin should have no value until MaidSafe give a reason why it should have one. It would make more sense to use BTC on the network so the incentives work properly. I think it will just stick at 19.99995!!, it wont go over for the month because most of the money going into it will be to buy maidsafecoins (they're looking at raising $10m and they think about 15% of that will be raised by mastercoin. It would be stupid to pay more than you can pay with bitcoin, but a definite sharp rise to 19.99 is on the cards. (I'm surprised it hasn't already, I think it's just 1000 Mastercoins left) coinmarket cap shows $1/4m volumes gone through in 24 hours!!! |

In fact the price is a double wammy for me because I bought In a large amount at 0.06 after they made an announcement they were to set the price at 0.08. I took about 12 hours I think for it to sink into people that's were the price was going and walls built high at about .07998 on buy, and 0.0811 on sale for about a day until the announce of a new price... 0.2 |

Why do you think the market has responded so slowly to the news the price is going to be set at 0.2, surely with $10million flowing in over the next month if that is taken as the absolute truth the market should adjust quickly close to the 0.2 value like it did with the 0.08 announcement?
Because the distributed exchange is more 'sticky' in terms of price as it takes multiple blocks to confirm sales. I like it. |

Sorry to spam this thread, might sell some XCP and buy more mastercoin is there a buy sell thread to buy without pushing price up?
You'd be very lucky to find that seller. Nearly everyone holding Mastercoin understands why it is worth .2 today and soon will be around .35 Guys holding a lot of MSC won't be selling these days. You could buy a bunch of NXT without pushing the price up. They are selling the shit out of NXT these days. Yeah I know it's moving damn fast that's why trying to get in with everything I can, but buying 500 or so pushes the price so high there's not so much profit left! Not true. If you take 500 now, by Tuesday when the MaidSafe deal gets up in ernest MSC will be at .21 You can have 500 for an average price of about 17 now. That is almost 24% profit in three days. I am already all in. Pull the trigger. Well I'm lucky I got PM'd about an hour ago for a private sale, so so am I  , still don't understand why you think it will go to .21 though? Truth is, that the mastercoin market is still pretty shallow. Almost any buy/sell will move the price around significantly. This is fine though as things are still young. Maidsafe is a great start, and there will be many more exciting things to come.

Dumped all my mastercoin from reading dev posts looks like Davids been conned into paying $10m usd asset issuance by mastercoin foundation(equiv $1 on counterparty)
