It is 7am PST.  I am ready to invest.  I spent all day yesterday buying MSC at prices between .17 and .19 so I'd be ready to buy MaidSafe, according to the rules announced, early this morning.  How I have shitloads of expensive MSC - and I am not allowed to use them.  What kind of a trick is this?

I would go ahead and send them. As far as I know they never said they won't continue to accept MSC, only it looks like they want to discourage it. So far we don't have any reason to assume they won't stick to their word.

Analyzing the raw data:

I see no reason why this transaction may be considered as invalid and therefore I think the fundraiser was closed with block 000000000000000049b630ae81eafca5728ff50bb80978b8424755ca67bf1c4f at a height of 297148 at unix time 1398173740 or 22 Apr 2014 13:35:40 UTC - at least on a protocol level.

Transactions after the close order are considered as "simple send" (= transfer MSC to the address).

Very sad it ended this fast. The sheer amount of incoming MSC and BTC was probably not expected.

After reading through the Google group it seems many are affected by this and I'm curious how this will turn out. Now it's up to David Irvine to decide what happens with the MSC sent after the crowdsale was closed. Worst case is probably a manual refund of the MSC - but that's only speculation and I have absolutely no insight in this matter.

Armory decided it needs to reindex the world, otherwise dev MSC for February would have gone out today.

Some of you have asked me to hurry this money along in order to use it to buy MaidSafeCoins. I'm sorry to say it's looking like we won't quite make that deadline.

However, I think it unlikely that Maidsafe will sell out in the first 24 hours, so hopefully this won't make a huge difference to most of you.

And then there's me. I thought I had a few days to get things together to invest some of my own MSC into the Maidsafe fundraiser. NOPE! That door is closed now. I got zero MaidsafeCoins. Anything I want I'll have to buy on the open market.

No matter what I need to figure out how to get some for the people who didn't get their dev MSC in time to invest on account of my slowness.

David Johnston posted in our Skype channel that he got more MaidsafeCoins than expected due to the bonus, and that he might sell some to people who bought MSC just to get Maidsafe coins and now are mad they can't do that. Not sure what terms he is offering on that - you'll have to ask him.

So yeah, that was unbelievable. I'm sure there will be some official communications soon. This is just me personally reacting.

One thing we have definitely proved - it's possible to raise a crap-ton of money really fast using the Master Protocol!

If you sent MSC then your MaidSafe balance should show up.

If you sent BTC then it may take a while to show up.
I think they said 24-48 hours for the BTC to be converted.
