Its embarrassing to see where counterparty stands and what they achieved with zero funding as opposed to mastercoin with its millions of dollars of funding (how can you spend millions of $ a year for some lines of code) ?

and now that all this money have been spent and the investors have left with that useless token called msc after JR decided to dump his chunk during that early stage of development,

Where is JR and what has he done this year ?

Some concerns must be addressed before you "run off to OMNI" and try to forget what happened to msc !

I always thought you were apart of it?

question:WHERE IS JR ? WHERE IS JR ? Angry

How dumb are you ?

It is a legitimate question as he has not been around since the first week of December when he sounded worried that someone could have forked his coins away from him.

At this point I would say he is a blight on MSC and as long as he is involved with his stash MSC has little to gain.

Tired of substandard power distribution in your ASIC setup???   Chris' Custom Cablez will get you sorted out right!  No job too hard so PM me for a quote

To be fair, there has been a little bias towards mastercoin. The overstock asset link from the previous page is a little innaccurate towards mastercoin. For instance they list only one positive to using mastercoin, where as every single other project reviewed had several positives.

I know that the mastercoin people just think that bt people only bitch and bitch, but how are we supposed to address legitamite concerns?

Jr what do you believe in? Mastercoin, or your profits?

I know you toss out the god card plenty on your profile.. God, money, mastercoin, profits...what are you about? This project really needs to review its leader.

question:WHERE IS JR ? WHERE IS JR ? Angry

There is at least one weekly meeting on Sococo where I usually don't attend, but to my knowledge JR does.

The latest communication via email with him was on Dec 12 and he reacted quickly.

His last activity on GitHub was eight days ago: https://github.com/dacoinminster?tab=activity

Thanks guys. All though last april was the most current of those articles. This link below is a little biased i believe, i was hoping for some retort or fill in the blanks to even this info out.

https://o.info/index.php/How_to_issue_a_cryptosecurity

Advantages of using Counterparty
Uses the Bitcoin blockchain and inherits its high level of network security.
All Bitcoin addresses are XCP addresses, and vice versa.
Launched using proof-of-burn (Equal opportunities for all developers, and users alike).
Purely community-driven and open-source.
The reference implementation is written in Python, which makes it easier to patch and extend.
Two independent formal, comprehensive, expert security audits have been completed. ( 1, 2 )
Functionality:
Bitcoin, XCP, and any user-created asset can be traded. (XCP not required for trading).
All orders are matched automatically and deterministically.
Assets have built-in dividend payments support.
Dividend functionality (in BTC or any Counterparty asset).
Prediction markets, trustless gaming and contracts for difference.
Stable protocol launched full-featured January 2, 2014 (with first ever trustless distributed digital asset exchange).
Multi-sig addresses supported on testnet. (Useful for two-factor authorization, escrow, and decentralized organizations.)

Advantages of going with Mastercoin

Transactions are embedded in the Bitcoin blockchain. (More secured compared to encoding in another blockchain.)

Look, here's the deal with all the tough love. I always felt jr had alot of class in the way he responded to critics. Hell look at peter todds initial reactions a year ago, they were pretty tough. One of the claims/ questions at the beginning of this project was what happens to MSC if someone copies it. The answer was we have the networking effect, plus will adapt or take any new tech that we need in order to stay on top. So everyone, please forgive me for trying to hold their feet to the fire.

Keep holding our feet to the fire.  We welcome it.

You ask about the advantages?

1. Master Core / Omni Core is a drop-in replacement for Bitcoin Core, which is why we have more integrators using it (such as Bitfinex, GoCoin and Expresscoin for Tether).
2. Master Core / Omni Core, written in C++, parses the blockchain in 10 minutes (others, written in python, take over a day - ask exchanges why that’s important)
3. We have never had to turn off or rollback any features/transactions due to faults (or for any other issue).
4. Assets issued on the Master / Omni Protocol are valued higher than all assets on other technologies combined.
5. Master / Omni protocol does not charge native-token fees for core functionality.
6. 10+ person team working on many aspects of development (protocol, core, UI, web, database, dev ops, integration, QA/testing, etc).

This past year was laying the foundation - the initial investment was used for this purpose.  A few bold and innovative projects leveraged the protocol during this period.  Next year, the wide spread of back-end integrations and new issuers and sponsors will begin to show just how good the platform is.  Moving from the Mastercoin Foundation to Omni, giving the foundation and technology to the community, and showing off what a few million dollars worth of development can do is what next year is all about.

Happy New Years, everyone. Keep watching.

Craig

About same question. Can you really start talk here in forum also? It was great to see mastercoin/omni was go so fast forward without public talking but it is time to start talk for peoples. If not can you even explain why you wan continue hiding your project features etc? You come in silence much more near counterparty but it is time give 1-2 hour per week for community also in public forum what everyone who are interesting about cryptos reading. That can't be really difficult post here also couple words about project.

Maybe we can also help you make MSC better, same way counterparty users report in forum if they have problem with wallet etc...?

Edit. Craig was answer something here already when i read last page and write this Smiley But still please keep us to know what there happen.

As one of the earliest supporters of mastercoin I was disappointed when the offer from the counterparty guys to help mastercoin was turned down for whatever reason, all is not lost but to re-attain the lost market lead at this point will be a feat.

I am back with an offer, this offer is not exclusive to omni but it could help with utility. This offer is about a project built on smart contracts and doesn't use the omni infrastructure but it could improve omni utility.

What I have:
A consumer facing product spec to disrupt a $6-10 billion a year industry and growing
Over a year and half of painstaking research and development
A whitepaper, being internally reviewed.
The whitepaper will be passed around to be peer reviewed next week
A client in development with a focus on beautiful and responsive user experience
A a video demo of client
A team of 5 extra developers

Information will be announced in less than 2 weeks.

Again this project does not build on omni and does not intend to. The offer is also not exclusive to Omni, any coin can integrate its functionality. However, it will improve the utility of omni/mastercoins if devs if devs choose to collaborate, successful integration could be a use case for omni. I am hoping the right people will reach out.

Peace and happy new year!

Nxter,Bitcoiner,Ether highlevel developer working to improve the world.
