Now that the signed message has appeared, I have no way to disprove he is the legitimate 1miau so I removed my tag.  I am still afraid my theory was true though, and the apparent lack of knowledge makes me think it may actually be valid,

My imaginary theory was that the person who took control of the account to make the announcement of his passing may have found a way to exploit the account post mortem.  If they are under control of his account, they may be under control of his addresses too.  They may be looking through his files trying to find the right address to sign as we speak.

But we will see I guess.

You did well to have removed your tag, that is what every smart wise person should do. The truth is so many things are still unclear about the 1miau story. But the signed message, which is the primary standard all of us in bitcoin community use, should suffice for now while we observe the personality behind that account. I don't think it makes sense doubt if it is him now or tagging that account, let time tell if he will leave up to expectations.

One detail that caught my attention was the "spelling mistake" of the word "meant" and I know you don't misspell this word usually. For someone that has been here that long I was pretty surprised to see him get that tagged so fast when it was just all speculations.

The tags are justified because if anyone knows how important it is to prove ownership, it is @1miau. I trust the former person behind 1miau, and now he or she either proves ownership, or suspicion, and even tags, should remain.

In this situation 1miau has two possible scenarios and both are not in his favor:

1. If he is a real 1miau, then let him explain why he tried to frame the GazetaBitcoin and the icopress. He unauthorizedly added them to his trust-abusing alliance, which be could harm these respected users. If this is a real 1miau, then he must be tagged as a manipulative abuser.

2. If he is not a real 1miau, then he must be tagged as sold account

Your tearful emotions don't interest me. There are facts and actions that indicate that either 1miau is a deliberate abuser or has sold the account. I don't care how long you've been friends with him or how many transactions you've made with him. This forum is a platform with its own rules that you can't cross. Not zero chance.  There are scammers who have stolen from the community and have massive negative trust. yet they still get paid for posting drunk pics of themselves.    Each campaign manager has their own morals - some might like what Excimer does.
