P.S. Also want to note that I changed my wallet address in signature (because of moving all COMMs to Mac wallet), if that matters.  Grin

Hi brightlight,

Even changing the address, it would be a good practice to keep the old one. To do so, you can use the console (help, debug, console) and use the command dumpprivkey <address>

On the other wallet you import it on the console also, using the command importprivkey <privkey>

This way you will have two addresses on your wallet and if someone send you coins you won't miss them.

Adriano

Hi Adriano,

Thank you very much for advice! I'll do it! So far I didn't expect someone to send me coins. Smiley
My announcement was more like wanting to say, I have not dumped my coins.

Even with those coins dumped, strong community can get the coin up from ashes.

And regarding mentioned things, I admit, that here is lack of transparency. But I hope everything's turn to good.

Let's wait Adriano from his rest, maybe he can help with implementation of hard code. I don't know if he is familiar not only with web development coding.

No disrespect to Adriano, but his suggestion is already tried and failed.
Read more about, how/why this fix was failed for another coin here
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=436750.0

The dev can take a backup and later import it into another brand new wallet which would allow you to transfer these coins again bypassing the lock restrictions..
or according to the eTok devs, there is a way to get rid of the lock.
The dev is actually taking the community for a ride here and you guys are just following it.

The dev wanted someone from the community to fix this so that he thinks everyone will fall for it.
Prepare for the big dump guys.

I am sorry to see this coin die this way, because of a greedy dev, after offering so much potential.

I somehow think there will be enough collective intelligence and motivation in the stakeholders of this coin to overcome whatever technical issues eTok had. I haven't read all 45 pages, but is there someone here who already has proper insight into the eTok case, and knows: why their fix didn't work (still allowed transfers that should have been blocked); whether that problem would also apply to this coin's case; and what are the other options for preventing those coins being spent?

The last option would be start a new blockchain, mint the coins and exchange old COMM for the new ones... This exchange could be done automatically but the setup of the new blockchain would require additional effort.

Anyway, there is always an option. This is the Community Coin so everyone in the community is responsible for it.

Lets send all pledged donations to Adriano, he did a great service for us, try to do the same for him.

The funny thing is a lot of people who have not pledge are donationg, that's the spirit!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

A new donation process has begun for the community website, please see brightlight post for more details

Lets show some community spirit. We need a good website to represent community coin.

Note: We are only pledging donations for the website right now. We'll pay after the website is done.

Mintpal vote update: 7632 and counting. Any news from mintpal dev?

Big update: Multipool is up and running! So keep your coins safe and bring some ideas that could add real value to the community.

P.S. We launched the multipool, lets finish the distribution, land on mintpal, finish the website and do the other stuff on the list of brightlight, and we could easily surpass 1000 satoshi maybe even in the first week. We should focus on creating value and growing the community, price will follow without a problem. People who are selling now will cry later. Just look around.

Update: We are making great progress again. 2nd distribution phase is happening right now.

As usual, don't forget to ignore the trolls.

Keep up the good work and good spirit.

Thanks dev and Adriano, problems come and go but community stays.

At office now, will be back home and send my donation 10K about 3 hours later

As I promised, 10K to the multipool, thanks for you hard work, thanks for the community.

Delivery basically completed for the second round, according to rules in OP. Dev team has now very less coins. We have about 80 submissions in waiting list, and also some of new members who get 1m due to low activity bypassed at this round. Those omitted ones mainly who promised to be good conduct to community seen at quality checks, not supporting community, no wallet activity, dumpers, bad manners,  no really want comm.

Now i give, myself some time rest, few days and wait some of those inactive guys become active also their wallet checked by me. If gap still not filled, i will then give priority to the earliest submissions from the current waiting list.

In the beginning i planned and considered delivery to last 1 week only.  We had so much problems, sabotages, attacks and troubles. Our reject system maybe not perfect but it works. We are already success when compared other coins. But this is not enough and long way to go.

So we succeeded so far good see our thread very active one. Look yourself you are the best members of bitcointalk. you handled alot of good things you certainly know being group or community and following rules. Some about %2.5 opposite idea guys always exists in life. Who is business to kill people or any hope on earth.

Act now handle mintpal and increase multipool miners so we all win.

All I can say is Thanks for all the work you have put on COMM. It is hard to please everyone (not to say impossible) but you have done a hell of a job. Of course some problems usually happen during the journey but we (the entire community) have to put our best to handle them and make COMM to succeed.

same here. That second list is bullshit imo. I asked a lot of times if dev needed my services for graphics in this topic and even Pmed the guy (check my sig) and NEVER got any response I've been trying to help out other people too and told some of my friends to join the coin. I also feel I deserve a stake more than others, but the dev seems to think differently.

So the 2nd round distribution is over?  Unfortunately I was not included, I don't meet any of the criteria to be passed over so will there be the possibility to review the distribution list and send out 2nd stakes to those who were missed by accident?

i would know this too Sad
i don't understand why i was not included.. Sad

Winky I think the poster is referencing the fact that they did not receive the 2nd stake after receiving the first like myself, I could be wrong but I think that the second distribution of the first stakes (confused yet?) is over.  Someone correct me if I am wrong.

The blockexplorer is not correct. It shows me having 0 coins when I still have the full stake in my wallet!

CryptoSteam you are looking at the input.  Look at the output for the information you seek.

Good idea.  If you decide to take this route I highly recommend working with Bittrex.  They've done a terrific job working with C2's dev team to exchange old C2 coins to the new POS C2 --strengthening security of the overall network.

Is there another way than the one suggested to prevent this one from dying?
I don't know who's sockpuppet you are, but GTFO!

GTFO, nope but thanks Smiley

Still, my question is: Is there another way than the one suggested to prevent this one from dying?

I want this to succeed! Like it or not!

Here is a link to my wallet for example, you will see in input/output the initial distribution of first stake then the debit for the mult-pool donation.  Yours should look similar.

I would guess that you just got overlooked in the sea of PMs and messages that the dev undoubtedly got during the past couple of weeks. It's a shame as your site has some nice designs. The dev said that there are still some coins to give out once the dust settles a bit so hopefully you'll still get a second set of coins.

Those who feel they deserve something deserve nothing at all.

I didn't get in on the second stake either. There are others who have done more to show their support. I have yet to show what I can do, and at the moment I am just happy to have 10 COMM in my wallet  Smiley

Your website looks very nice, and I think the dev is just really busy atm. give it time
