Has the dev updated the wallet to allow minting a locked wallet?

No. This is point of discussion at the forum. There are a lot of points to consider.

COMM is not so hot these days. The price is down to earth. ppl have dumped all their coins and left for new coins.

Due to the classic mistake of a too high block reward.

The block reward is nil. There is no PoW.

If you meant the stake rate, it is not high enough IMO.

Hi everyone. I've been following communitycoin during the last three-four weeks and I think the project is awesome, as it's community is really vibrant. The voting on Mintpal was incredible.

So, I want to work with this community. I've coded a site which is on

http://comm.hopto.org/comm/

The original coding was done for Pesetacoin for me recently and I have changed it to fit comm requirements.
The site is under construction, but fully operational to play dice game.

If you think it is interesting, please donate a small amount to the address listed on my footer signature to start rolling it, and of course, have a good time playing dice.

You can use the site, on account page,  as an online wallet, as well

Further development are to be done if comm users are interested.

Thanks in advance for donations/pledges.

@foroplus: Sorry I'm not interested in stupid dice games. I was really exited when I read that you made a site, but it really is not what we need  Roll Eyes

I want the dev to show leadership and progression or collect a team that is able to do so, otherwise ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Dude, you know the communitythingy? Like, people working together n' shit?
Coming here and bashing people who actually do something while demanding that more has to be done, is kinda ridiculous. Internet at it's best.

Go pledge a bounty for something you think is interesting or look around and find a project of your own.

@secondleo: The dev has already a bounty pot, but there are no projects. There are many people with tech skills but it looks like they don't want to work for comm.

How long do i have to wait for staking? I got open wallet and nothing happening. is it me or just a common occurence?
24 H ..Any New transaction will delay minting process for anther 24H ..if you have 800-1000COMM

So you saying i shouldn't deposit while staking as it resets the days accrued, am i correct? Sorry for being noob...

Try To Make two wallets one for minting and another for Desp\Withdr..

Does the minting gets disabled for 24 hours even when minted coins come in?
Someone should write a explanatory document about STAKING as crypto currency heading this way.

Receiving deposits doesn't do anything to the previous transactions. The problem is when you send coins because that transaction is "consumed" and its time reset (remember that in crypto one transaction has to be entirely consumed and if there is any change it is sent to you as a brand new transaction).

Also, when you "mint" new coins, what exactly happens is the following: only one of your transactions is chosen as input, the minted amount is calculated based on that transaction and two new transactions are generated as output, each one with half of the new value. That's why at the beginning you mint higher values less often and after some time you mint lower values but more often.

Lets see an example:

1. you receive 1000000 as one transaction
2. after 24 hours your wallet will start try submit minted coins over this transaction;
3. at some point your minted coins will be accepted, lets say you earned 2000 new coins;
4. the old transaction of 1000000 is used to create two new outputs of 501000 each, this makes the time start over;
5. after 24 hours of the step 4, your wallet will choose one of the two transactions to mint;
6. at some point it will succeed and your coins will be accepted by other nodes, lets say this minted 1000 coins;
7. one of the old transactions of 502000 is used to create two new outputs of 251500.

After step 7 you have in your wallet:
1 transaction of 502000 (which your wallet will keep trying to mint new coins over as it is older than 24 hours);
2 transactions of 251500 which have their age zeroed

If you receive new coins it does nothing with those transactions so the first one will keep trying to submit minted coins.
If you spend coins, it is possible that the transaction is used as input, generating a new transaction as change with age = zero; that's why spending coins might interfere in the process of stake

I hope this can bring some light on the issue and help with the recurring doubts people have about it.

There is harly any trade. Volume is around 4 BTC in the last 24 hours. If you look for example at Microcoin which sells for 1 or 2 SAT it has a volume for more tham 36 BTC. Why is this, maybe someone can explain this?
