Looking at the standings after the first week, I don’t think this is the result anyone expected. The final match of the first week is being played right now, and the standings are really interesting. I think we’ll see a more reasonable standings picture in a few weeks.

Of the four teams with the highest expectations going into the first week, only Beşiktaş managed to get what they wanted. You can’t blame the first match, but I think the other teams could have gotten off to a better start.

I'm curious to see which team will be this season's dark horse. Maybe in 10 weeks, there'll be a surprise team in the top 4? Does anyone have a prediction on this?

I wasn't particularly fond of the football we played, but it feels great to end the week with a win—even if the scoreline was only 1-0.
Since taking charge, Italiano has done two things exceptionally well.

First, players who were expected to leave the team due to their performances last season have started making valuable contributions.
Djaló is one of the best examples of this.

Second, our team defense has been excellent.
Moreover,
we have played five competitive matches so far and haven't conceded a single goal.

A farewell ceremony was held for Necip Uysal before yesterday's match. A product of our youth academy, Necip never wore the jersey of any team other than Beşiktaş and concluded his career wearing the Beşiktaş kit.
I hope a testimonial match is organized for Necip in the future.

I am very pleased to have started the league with three points in a week where Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, and Trabzonspor all dropped points.

Beşiktaş was the only one of the “Big Four” to secure a win in the first week. Beşiktaş, which dominated the match against Eyüpspor, started the league with 3 points. Vaclav Cerny scored the winning goal for his team, and once Eyüpspor was reduced to 10 men, control of the game shifted entirely to Beşiktaş. Beşiktaş should have scored more goals in this match.

In the beginning of league like this Besiktas are always keen in making sure all point gets in their favour, so they're one of the teams with three points and a goal. Although even when they were leading, Eyupspor was also reinforcing on Besiktas to equalise but I guess David Costa second card got them out of control because that was when Besiktas began to regulate the game. Another interesting club that played before this Besiktas match day was Trabzonspor because of Mohammed Salah they signed this season but unfortunately they couldn't get hold of the three points because of their 1:1 draw but definitely Salah will get his first score from next match.

The match between Samsunspor and Göztepe was breathtaking; it was hard to believe this was a season opener.
Although the match ended in a 3-3 draw, a fantastic game was played regardless of the score.

Either team could have secured the win. Samsunspor could have started the league with three points had they converted their second penalty; however, Mouandilmadji failed to score, striking the crossbar instead.

Göztepe created a promising chance through Efkan in the final minute, but his poor finishing meant the match ended in a 3-3 draw.

Today's match between Samsunspor and Göztepe was one of the most enjoyable I've watched recently. Both teams created plenty of chances. Both teams scored 3 goals, and the match ended in a draw. Samsunspor wanted to get 3 points at home, but they only managed a draw in the 90th minute. Göztepe is doing very well this year, just like last year. Samsunspor also put on a good performance. And so, the first week of matches has concluded.

Beşiktaş managed to secure 3 points with a single goal. I was expecting a much more comfortable win against Eyüpspor, but they finished the game with just one goal.
They dominated the match, forced their opponents down to ten men, and ultimately got the win.
A red card could have been given to Beşiktaş as well and I wouldn't have objected if the referee had shown one.

Besiktas struggled but took home the three points and that's what counts. They dominated the match and could have even given a red card to a Besiktas player, but they were pardoned by the referee. They must try to be more aggressive in the penalty area and try to take advantage of the opportunities they create.

The team is still struggling to create clear scoring chances. Cerny scored a beautiful goal with a single strike off a fantastic assist from Olaitan. The pace dropped significantly in the second half. Eyüpspor had very few moments where they actually tried to score, they never looked threatening. Beşiktaş once again left the field with a clean sheet.

However the shortcomings are obvious. The bench is weak, while the players coming off the bench add dynamism to the game, their stamina falls short over 90 minutes. This will be a problem when facing tougher opponents. I hope at least 2 more transfers are made and the rotation is strengthened.

I imagine that the coach also knows that there is a need for a certain reinforcement to be satisfied in order to create a certain danger in all departments of the team, at these levels victories count more than good play as Max Allegri said, even if these are not fundamental matches you have to start giving your best.

When I saw Amed at the top of the standings for once I thought I was looking at the 2nd league.    Fenerbahçe have made many more transfers than Galatasaray but started even worse.

It was mostly because of the rotation maybe but still I see the right in me to criticize them. I know İsmail Kartal has tough Lyon matches ahead but this was the worst start he could have made...

Why not? This year is actually expected to be the best one in the Super League history. But people might be wrong too and a surprising team can be in top 4 race for even a longer time period than you mentioned.

Beşiktas' defensive performance is quite good but the attacking performance is inadequate. primarily due to the squad quality still being insufficient.

with this squad quality and tactical formation, Beşiktaş will struggle in all away matches. Cerny has scored in the last two games and is playing like prime Davids and İlhan Fakılı is a talented kid. but still if Beşiktaş relies solely on these players and continues with only them, they will run into serious trouble. imo for Besiktas signing an A+ right winger and an attacking midfielder must be the top priority.

I don’t know if anyone watched the Samsunspor vs. Göztepe match, but I have to say it was a very exciting and equally fast-paced game. Although Göztepe managed to take the lead with Alex Matos as early as the 3rd minute, Samsunspor came back before the end of the first half and finished it with a 2-1 lead. Göztepe equalized right at the start of the second half and managed to take the lead in the 65th minute. Mouandilmadji’s failure to convert the second penalty was turning into a major setback for Samsunspor, but in the final minute, Celil Yüksel scored the equalizer, allowing them to at least come away with a point from this match. It was a truly entertaining match to watch, and in my opinion, neither team should be disappointed that the points were split. Although both Samsunspor and Göztepe put up a good fight, we can say that a draw was the fair result for this match.

Nkunku, who was rumored to be transferring to Fenerbahçe last year, is now being linked with Galatasaray.
Galatasaray intends to sign him as a backup striker, but this move is unlikely to please the club's fans.

I feel like we’re not doing the right thing, but the pressure from fans on the clubs is immense. That’s why club administrations are making reckless transfers just to keep their seats. In Turkiye, club administrations are selected through elections in a democratic environment. One of the problems with democracy is that it doesn’t think too far ahead. We’re seeing the clearest example of this right here. Hans-Hermann Hoppe discussed this explicitly in his book "Democracy: The God That Failed".

Anyway, I’d like to get back to our topic. After finalizing the Vlahovic transfer, Beşiktaş shifted its focus to the number 10 position. Such positions no longer exist in the world, but they still exist in Turkiye. In fact, it’s a good model, and it works. A tall forward paired with a skilled number 10 who directs the flow of passes has always been effective in this league. That’s why I think this transfer move is the right one...

it's unlikely that any other Turkish club will be able to compete with Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş and Trabzonspor. the gap in player quality is too big although local surprises cannot be ruled out as happened in the first round. I think this can be explained by the top clubs' lack of preparation at the start of the season and they will pick up the pace later. also the transfer window is not yet closed and these teams can further strengthen their squads.

Başakşehir have actually been able to finish in top 5 regularly in the Turkish league for years. But still we are always talking about 4 big teams in this league. 3 of them are already well-known and the remaining one is Trabzonspor.

Besides Başakşehir doesn't even have a real fan base. Having real fans is one of the factors making a team stronger and more respectable.

However it was still surprising to see them being eliminated this early in the Conference League. If Nuri Şahin fails in the Super League too then I don't think he would see the next season here.

In the new season of the Turkish League, each team has played one match and at the moment the points table is led by the Ahmed SK team. You are right that after all the league matches in the first round, there are two big teams at the top of the Turkish League, which are Besiktas and Istanbul Basaksehir. In fact, these two teams took their position in the 25/26 season and we all saw it the Turkish Super League to the ranks of the top clubs because in the previous season Besiktas was in fourth place and Istanbul Basaksehir was in fifth place.
 
Even it is very surprising at this stage that the last season's champion and runner-up teams played badly in the first match of this season because as far as I've seen Galatasaray drew 2-2 with the Corum team and Victor Osimhen scored two goals alone in that match, while Fenerbahce lost their first match but it seems that this team is much more focused on the UEFA Champions League play-off matches.

Both Samsunspor and Göztepe were good teams in the Turkish Super League last year. Samsunspor even reached the top of the Conference League at one point, and they did so during a period when they had a transfer ban. They attracted attention in the Conference League by playing very well. Göztepe also had very tough matches against the four big teams in Turkey. I'm happy that the match between the two teams was so enjoyable. I hope we see more enjoyable and competitive matches like this.
