If Manchester United wins Champions League and take second or third in Premier League, is it not good?
You are right about prioritising one trophy when you don’t have the squad depth to go compete for multiple trophies at the same time. However I think Manchester United have a better chance at the premier league title than the champions league. I don’t see them competing against the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, or PSG.
I don't even think that Manchester United is capable of mounting a serious title challenge in the EPL because they will now be playing in several competitions, unlike last season that the EPL was their only target. A lot of Manchester United fans are having a high expectations next season but I just hope they wouldn't be that disappointed because that's what likely going to happen when their team eventually start battling to finish in top four than contending for the title.

We just have to see the magic Carrick will survive the coming season or not because for now Carrick has to mix his own club different from last season where all the players are inherited from Amorim.
If indeed he wants to improve the quality of coaching then this should be used as a good enough test to show that he is indeed capable of coaching since the beginning of the season but when their performance decreases then Carrick's condition is still the same as Slot at Liverpool where he is not quite able to mix his squad well in contrast to the legacy players who have been there and given the previous coach.

Manchester United in this season the improvement is very pronounced but it is precisely this kind of expectation that sometimes always turns into criticism when the performance is not as expected.

The confidence of Manchester United States winning the Premier League is too much, at the end of previous season they showed positive signs, won difficult matches and finished in a Champions League position, in all I don't see them as favourites for the title next season, same with winning the Champions League, whether they buy new players, Manchester United can only finish in a good position.

Manchester United can decide to fight for any other trophy other than the Premier League and Champions League, I still consider them a weak team to the defending champions, Arsenal are also favourites for both Premier League and Champions League next season.

Is Manchester United will strengthen their squad more next season, they will be among the top contenders for the  premier league title. Because despite how tough this season was for Manchester United Michael Carrick tried his best and won difficult matches which we thought they would lose, because people considered them as a weak opponent, but Michael Carrick ended those games with a Victories, and he also secured a position for Manchester United in the champions league.

Michael Carrick shows promise for  winning Premier League title next season, and honestly I'm confident that it's possible because we have seen that positive signs with him this season.

I think it is right for any conversation about Manchester United winning the English premier league next season should be discussed in the English premier league thread, this is UEFA champions league thread and finally after a while Manchester United topic can be discussed here but not about them winning the English premier league.
That said even though I don't think Manchester United can win next season UEFA champions league I honestly think that they can actually go very far .

Dembélé is actually very good but I don't think he will be going to real Madrid because of the way he has been a great tool for psg they won't be letting him go any time so so I believe that they will do everything to keep him and for them thinking they will win the champions league next season I don't think that will be happening any time soon again because a lot of of adjustments have been made already in real Madrid and because they have won it twice now they think they have arrived and they can do what ever they want in the champions league and it does not work that way.

I think the question is more of a rhetorical one because we all know there’s no way Real Madrid would sign Dembele…a former Barcelona player.

I think he’s beginning to have a kinda ego to have made such a bold statement about next season’s champions league because I don’t think PSG would equal that record set by Real Madrid and he could have just continue keeping off the media like he used to.

Next season would be exciting, we get to see Manchester United back at the Champions League and also we get to see whether Barcelona would get a Champions League trophy before Real Madrid or Real Madrid would get one before them despite having two straight trophy less seasons.

You are right I just hope that Carrick will not go the way of other managers which all did well when they were in caretaker positions but failed to perform when they were made as permanent manager. Carrick has to break the joke which all manager in united setup has suffered in the past four seasons. Carrick has shown a lever of class and quality while as interim manager, he should consolidate on this success he enjoined this season.

Carrick should look into the market and get players that he feels that can be brought to strengthen the team. United has struggled in the past four seasons due to lack of quality mangers. Carrick job should be building a team that will compete for the title in the coming seasons. He should not be too concerned about getting results but should be more concerned about how well his team can play.

After these back-to-back championships what's your thoughts on the next season? Will it be PSG again for the CL title or someone else? Maybe Arsenal will have another go and this time won't fail?

Or maybe Real Madrid will resurrect unlike my expectations from Mourinho.  Grin  Another possibility is that Bayern Munich can return even stronger with Kompany. They look really promising for a title here soon.

I’m not convinced Mourinho will be able to steady the ship at Real Madrid right away, so I wouldn’t label them as Champions League contenders just yet. In my opinion, Bayern Munich and Barcelona are fully capable of challenging for the title next season. I think if PSG hadn't stopped Bayern in the semi-finals, Bayern could have easily gone all the way this season. As for Arsenal, it’s hard to say whether they can replicate this run and reach the final again—losing a final like that can be mentally devastating for the players.
Mbappe has been trolled on the internet a lot since PSG won the champions league for the second time in a row. I’m hoping Mourinho will be able to get Mbappe his first UCL with Madrid. Mourinho has a track record at Real Madrid, he made Ronaldo and Benzema more lethal in the attack, and I believe he could do the same for Mbappe.

It becomes a fairness because he will be considered as a misfortune because when he left PSG PSG actually PSG got back to back in the Champions League but on the one hand I think we also have to respect the initial decision because Mbappe left of course ready with all the consequences here especially he also still gets individual awards for Top Scorer in domestic competitions and the Champions League even though for the club collective he still can't get it.

On the other hand, this championship should not be aimed at individuals in the end because even though Mbappe is very good but when his club still cannot fix the problems that always exist in Madrid then this will be very difficult for Mbappe.

This is just wrong. You can check all top players of this and the last century, players you thought should win it all and yet they didn't. Competitions like that Champions League are not subject to best player material, planning, best coach or whatever you can come up with. Everything has to work out in a season to win it. Otherwise Porto would have never won it. Mbappe is one of the best players in the world, but to me it seems like he has never arrived in the best setup. I don't know, hard to tell, but he is a game-changing player without any doubt.

There is no way he will be concentrating on just one competition alone I don't see that happening although that is your opinion and your advice but one thing you know is that Michael Carrick has his target next season remember he was recently made the substantive coach o.manchester United and he will have to prove himself this season, it is almost impossible for a coach to keep an eye on just one competition unless at some point he understands that he doesn't have chance to get anything in other competition that his team is part of.
Next season is going to be interesting, Carrick has really changed Manchester United performance since he joined the team, we saw how Manchester United played last season. Before Carrick joined Manchester United, I never believed they going to qualify for the next champions league. Carrick is a good coach, but with how he played last season, I don’t think he will be able to win the champions league with that kind of performance, but let’s see if he will sign some players, and will be able to improve Manchester United performance more, but with the squad Manchester United are having currently, they can’t win the champions league with those players.

I think that is the best thing to do actually, they rather focus more on the league that they have high hope of winning the league title,  manchester united are showing some sign of good work this by next season, they will actually do everything possible to see that they dominate one of this league by next season, because they need that. Lets see what will happen, but with the small time carrick has spent I think they will do everything possible to see that next season is better.

Sorry to say Mbappe isn't just unlucky at this moment, but I think he has been moving a bit of little bad  timing  and that's why he misses opportunity. I once had an argument about him when he was still a main key player in the PSG, the Dembele were unable shine fully, because everything in that team were all around Mbappe shoe then , which i believe all what je was chasing thn was Ballond'Or, so after Mbappe left, denbele was gaining more freedom than ever before and more responsibilities and his performances were increased than before.
Well. The Ballon d'Or that was given to Dembele  makes him become more stronger, after the Mbappe left,  I just hope Dembele works hard this time around in the fifa world cup, so that he will be able to win this season again.

It's going to be tough for them indeed. Last season, Arsenal almost had a freeway to the title albeit a late title charge from Man city. But that aside, I feel there would be more competition for the EPL title next season and Man Utd being in more competitions will certainly test their squad depth and coordination. Going to the Champions league is one thing, dominating and going far enough to get a shot at winning it is the main hurdle that I don't see them overcoming.

Mourinho has a track record at Real Madrid, he made Ronaldo and Benzema more lethal in the attack, and I believe he could do the same for Mbappe.

At times in football it is not everything that is luck, I don't believe that Mbappe was unable to lift the champions league while at PSG because he was unlucky but because then they lack dedication and commitment to make it come through as at then because of how equipped they where they play relucrmtantly believing they can win any team that comes there way without knowing at a long run sometines an unexpected result may turn to reality at the end of the game.
The case of Mbappe is completely because lack of commitment because he believes he is a complete player.

Actually it's true that Micheal Carrick now has a lot of work to do, now the expectation and responsibility on him is high and should he make any mistakes that should jeopardise his opportunity of spare heading this Manchester United team for a long time then the management wouldn't hesitate to sack him so quickly, because they never believed his ability to improve the team beyond what he has made it to be under interim service, the head coach approval was just to clear their doubt, and this Carrick must do by making sure United showcase a high-end performance in all competitions even when they can't win it.

Focusing on one competition would be good enough but it won't work for Carrick and Manchester United.  The goal may be good because they can be more optimal in the matter of focusing in one of the competitions but we must consider the pressure that will occur because for clubs in the EPL especially for big clubs a bad performance in any competition will still be a criticism and it will be much greater in terms of criticism than clubs in other leagues so it would be better for Carrick to try as much as he can if he is not able to do the whole just show his best in every match.

Tottenham this season should be used as an example if they try to focus on one competition even though this was the wrong decision from the start because they focused on the Champions League but still this could be a good example for Carrick not to take a similar step.

Mourinho has significantly aged since he coached Ronaldo and Benzema, so we should not be too expectant for similar to results, As a matter of fact he coached Benfica, although they perform well but not to title race, good players could be an excuse. Nevertheless we wait to see how he will handle real Madrid

I can see that Manchester United performed well in this just concluded season, however, that does not give the direction to what we should expect from them next season we are about to enter, I wish they should perform better and any other team as well could take advantage to also skill the ladder and make it, all these are just survival of the features as long as they are going to show what their capable of.
Manchester United did well this season and I expect nothing less from them next season, it has been a long time since they qualified for the champions league, having the opportunity to compete in the forth coming would be something that they are focused on and prepared for. I'm expecting Manchester United to do better next season.

It’s surely going to be so difficult being Mbappe right now. To have left PSG under the conditions he did, becoming very unruly in his last days and the paycheck he was getting, even influencing decisions on other players playing time at the club, then he leaves PSG to try and win the UCL with Real Madrid after several failed attempts at PSG.
Immediately he left PSG, Dembele comes up and starts performing, alongside Hakimi, Nuno and Kvaratskelia and the team has got 2 UCL title to their name, of course Mbappe would be trolled a lot and he would be deeply disturbed about it, he needs this trophy.

Does Dembélé think he'll be signed by Real Madrid? Real Madrid will win the Champions League next season, it's simple math.
As for Dembele, this season he is not at all the same as last season, I wouldn’t make any big statements if I were him. It's too early to talk about next season as this one isn't over yet and the main event is ahead - the World Cup, but I wouldn't consider PSG as the main favourite next year, they'll probably be third after Real Madrid and Bayern. And that's mainly because they can pull off tricks with rescheduling Ligue 1 games.

So Dembélé just needs to calm down because they will surprise him next season am not even a fan of psg in the first place and they forget that even the city is there and other club that will want to win to also win next season and I can bet that psg is not among does that I think will be winning the champions league so they should drop there ego instead of thinking that they have a chance of winning because it's not possible.

Madrid got knocked out by Bayern in the quarters. Their manager situation has been a bit of a mess since Ancelotti left. And the team is unable to get their heads around how Mbappe and Vinícius can play together without everything getting a little too crowded.

And about Dembele. The guy won the Ballon d'Or last year lol. He has seen his goals fall this season for sure. That's because Luis Enrique purposely cut his minutes in half, though. Held him back for the Champions League. Where he netted eight goals and was the main force behind PSG in the knockout stages.

The real threat to PSG next year isn't City or Madrid, it's Bayern. This season he has scored 122 league goals. Kane him self has scored for fun. Olise creating everything. They lost to PSG by one goal on aggregate in the semis and could've gone through.
