What we are seeing with Arsenal is curious, because this season they bought a striker, which was the position they needed the most, who scored 62 goals a year, and looked like he was the next great thing, and Gyokeres only scored 21 goals in all competitions, only 14 goals in premier league. By comparison, almost 40 year old Ronaldo scored that much and more in United when he left Juventus.

So of course that was a failure and yet they still won the title. Now the question remains, do they get another one right away? Or are they leaving the team that won the title alone? Liverpool spent 400+ million on a team that won the league, and they became worse, so there is a fear of trying to get better, what if that causes them to get worse?

Last season Man United definitely lost a lot of money because they didn't play in the UCL. This season will be very different. Just at the start of transfers alone they will get £200 million, then participation in the UCL will bring in another £100 million. Not to mention income from broadcasting rights, and maybe Adidas will return to United, and of course there will be money coming in from sponsors. Apart from that, what do you think for Man United's new season in the UCL?

Last year, out of 6 English teams, 5 made it into the top 8 and went straight to the playoffs, while Newcastle finished 12th and made it to the main playoffs by beating Karabakh. It's clear that United, which finished 3rd in the Premier League, are no worse than other English teams, so I would expect them to finish in the top 8, or at worst in the top 24. It turns out that at least they will have 8 + 2 games in the Champions League next season. As their fan, I certainly hope for further success, but a lot depends on the draw.

We can definitely expect something good from Real Madrid, because the new Real Madrid coach Mourinho is definitely a good and successful coach. He has done a lot of good work for Real Madrid in the past. Mourinho's first task will probably be to discipline the team. Because we have seen in the past or in the previous season, there is not much similarity between the players of Real Madrid, which is why we may have seen this season. Real Madrid has full qualifications to win the UCL and La Liga trophies. It is hoped that Mourinho will be able to use Mbappe, Vinicius properly.
Yes you said it right, Mourinho is out for this season competition and I don't think he'll want to take it easy on any team, the guy is good in his coaching style, I don't want to talk much I'm waiting for the season to start before I will complete my statement but I know that Mourinho is going to kick may team ass this season, the more quality players added and the existing ones will not let him down, Mourinho is a fearless manager that knows how to play the game so every other team should prepare for ten competition ahead, the two players you mentioned will cooperate with Mourinho of course they know who the new manager is and what he cannot take.

For me I see no reason to downplay them because they didn't end the season without achieving anything, they won the premier league title which was very difficult competing with teams like City and other teams that were Also aiming to win the trophy as well. A lot of football fans were really happy that arsenal didn't win the champions league cause they would have been rubbing it in people's faces.

winning the premier league is definitely a very difficult thing, and i think that Arsenal and Manchester City are two very strong teams that have shown a lot, aiming to win a trophy and then coming back the following year is an extremely important thing, but i think that Arsenal are even better than Manchester City.

Dembélé really looks ambitious for his 3rd CL title in a row next season. Why wouldn't he be so confident also while they have the best teamwork among all teams?  Tongue  But it's very early to talk about such things so let's see...

For now Arsenal are ahead of Manchester City of course. Because they not only won the PL but also qualified for the CL finale this season.  Wink  Manchester City are way behind them now on paper.

But it all depends on how quick Enzo Maresca will adapt... Who knows maybe he'll have a jump start and surprise everyone.

You cannot say that because Arsenal won the title and reached the finals of UCL means that they are ahead of Manchester City when City still has almost all their players intact. Next season might be a different ball game for Arsenal, they might not be able to perform as expected despite winning the title recently. They're in a good form now but next season will decide that

Aa far as different fans support different clubs there must definitely be rivalry and banter when two rivals meet, in my neighborhood the rivalry used to be between Chelsea and Manchester United fans but surprisingly both Chelsea, Manchester United and fans of other clubs, where against Arsenal last season. Grin

It was interesting cause I've never seen fans collaborate to troll one particular club during their matchdays. Well rivalry aside Arsenal did extremely well last season, at some point i was jealous of their Champions League record, it's not easy to play unbeaten till the finals and also go far in all competitions they played in.
You are right. I have also never seen where Arsenal is trolled like they were trolled in the last season and their crime to the trollers is they are able to break the barrier which has kept them from winning trophies by ensuring they won the premier league title they won. I am not against it but just mentioning anyways and i am mentioning so it serves as a wake up call and reminder to the Arsenal club to work harder and remain more confident in their ability. The success they recorded in the last season should further show them they have the ability to win such competitions and even more of it when they have the believe, courage and confident

Nothing is wrong with Arsenal striker because he came to a new competitive league, what you expect from him? He should definitely take him some time to adapt to the premier league, yet he tried and help the team to win the premier league and also helped the team to reach the champions league final. The comparison should not be taken serious since he was with the team and won league with Arsenal, and I think Arsenal can go again next season to win the Champions League because they are about to strengthen their midfield so that their striker can have more options to score goals.

I don’t also expect Arsenal to get worse next season because they have solid defense that can still sustain the team for more than two seasons again, and I can see that they are trying to make some addition in the team to get more depth.

Manchester United ended last season well, so on a normal state we will expect their performance on champions league to be part of the best, but we should also not ignore the fact that lads season they just played few matches and that could be a reason for their good performance, this upcoming season they will play more and their fans can only hope that fatigue will not make them decline in performance.

You're right, Arsenal is ahead of Manchester city particularly for last season no doubt we can't use the past form to compare the current form of Manchester city to compare them now, Arsenal had greater achievement than Manchester city particularly for last season. Manchester city has dropped form in form and need some level of performance to get back to their usual form.

Manchester City has just dropped incredibly hard in performance. They usually finish their seasons in the range of 85 points to 90 points with ease, now they have finished with 71 points in 24/25 and with 78 points in 25/26. That is way below their standard and it only needs one solid team like Arsenal to benefit from that. Still if Manchester City plays their best, Arsenal would end up with empty hands as I don't see them reaching 90 points or more and that is what you need when Manchester City is in top shape.

The best that Arsenal achieved was their 89 points and that was still not enough to win the title in 23/24. I think something is still missing for them. Of course they have been doing great in their defense and adding players like Declan Rice was the right move as that gave them lots of additional stability. But for the next few seasons I still believe they would need at least one, but rather two top strikers or a center forward and a winger. Havertz doesn't do the job. He sporadically scores an important goal, but compare that to Europe's goal machines and you know why most of the time Arsenal is falling behind.

Last season may not be the best of form for Gyokeres, but at least they were able to win the premier league title. I wouldn’t just disregard Gyokeres present in the team as not fruitful yet. That was his first season with the team and I think he can still do better in the coming season. I just feel he’s yet to be fully adapted to the team and he could do better next season.

The premier league has been very tough for all teams and only the one with the consistent quality gets to win it in the end. It won’t be a bad idea if Arsenal looks for another striker, this would be a back up for Gyokeres if he fails to perform optimally as they want. Nothing is guaranteed and everything is just taken risk out there, they just need to take the best most calculative risk.

You cannot say that because Arsenal won the title and reached the finals of UCL means that they are ahead of Manchester City when City still has almost all their players intact. Next season might be a different ball game for Arsenal, they might not be able to perform as expected despite winning the title recently. They're in a good form now but next season will decide that
I can’t really wait for the season to start so that am going to see how every team is going to perform. Arsenal will perform well I know that, but we shouldn’t be suprise if they don’t perform the same way they performed in last season. Just because Arsenal won the last premier league doesn’t mean they going to perform so well by next season, their performance might drop also. I don’t think anyone knows how every team is going to perform by next season, we just have to wait for the season to start to see how all of them are going to perform.

Thanks to Micheal Carrick and the players who made it possible. Without them it wouldn't have  been possible. It is the reason why they're assembling a squad who can cope with the Premier League Competition and Champions league competition. I do not know why football fans are so invested on either Michael Carrick failing or the squad depth being inadequate to carry them until the end of the season. This is Manchester United, it is the reason why we have big and higher standards.
We're hoping on winning the Premier League Competition next season, that is the sole aim of everyone in the dressing room and management.

I am expecting to see a brilliant performance from them next season
I as well, because the way they ended last season tells alot about how their next season performance will be. They are starting next season with Michael Carrick who changed their performance over all last season, that alone is a promise of a good season ahead of them.
Nevertheless they will be playing more next season and I hope the fatigue will not affect their performance, because there have been similar cases like that with other clubs.

I don’t think anyone knows how every team is going to perform by next season, we just have to wait for the season to start to see how all of them are going to perform.

In two months time, many league competitions will begin followed by the Champions League. The main reason why everyone is expecting great performances from Arsenal next season is that the club has been improving every season over the last four years. They have hardly performed worse than they did in the previous season.Arsenal finished second for three consecutive seasons before winning the Premier League last season. In the Champions League, they have also shown steady improvement. Two seasons ago, they reached the semi-finals, and last season they made it to the final.

So it is not only because of their Champions League performance that people expect Arsenal to do well next season. Even before they won the Premier League, many people believed they would eventually succeed. Every time Arsenal finished second, fans continued to hope that they would perform even better in the following season. If Arsenal do not perform as well as they did last season, it should not erase the progress they have made. People should still recognize their overall improvement. They have a strong squad, they are willing to sign more players, and the current players are determined to keep improving. Those are the qualities that show a team is capable of achieving even greater success

I can’t wait to see Manchester united performing very good in the champions league competition. I think since Manchester City won the champions league last no any club in the premier league that won it anymore they need to have some challenge and competitive in the trophy they need to have anyone in the league to win it and Barcelona or real Madrid are the tough club and they need to stop PSG for next season because they are trying to break zindane record that won it back to back three times. Let watch how next season will goes and know who can get the opportunity to win it next season.

A lot of us are expecting Manchester United to well next season and that is not even expecting too much because they actually did well last season and we are expecting nothing less next season. Carrick has achieved a lot within a few months of being the coach of Manchester United, imagine the impact will make as time goes on. His input is what makes me sure they can deliver next season.

Things will be very different for the Premier League right now. I have a lot of faith in what Manchester United will be like, and they could win the Premier League. It's not because I'm underestimating Arsenal or Manchester City, no, but because of the preparation Carrick has given them. I'd say these teams have potential, and I also give credit to the others if they make good transfers and player purchases. For me, that's the secret.
