Champions League is usually a priority for them as they are the team who have won this trophy most of any other team. Mourinho I think is a good choice despite him having passed his golden age nowadays still Real Madrid needs harmony and orchestration and most probably this is the guy to give them that. I was reading that Vinicius didn't want to renew his contract so far with Real Madrid so this may become a problem for Mourinho although having Mbappe is good enough in my opinion.
Vinicius junior want to renew his contract at real madrid, but the only stumbling block is his demands to be paid as much as mbappe is earning, which it seems like real madrid are not willing to give him such. Though they are still in negotiations and I am hopeful that both parties can find a compromise in this contract saga that have dragged on throughout this summer.

But wether vinicius junior stays at real madrid or not, I believe that they have the capacity to mount a serious title challenge in the Spanish laliga and also fight for the uefa champions league trophy, because Jose Mourinho that I know has what it takes to will do well with this real madrid team.

Dinamo Zagreb will host Kauno Zalgiris at home. We can say that Dinamo Zagreb is the heavy favorite in this match and absolutely must win its first home game. Kauno Zalgiris may be undefeated in its most recent matches. In fact, it did not lose to any of its opponents in the previous two qualifying rounds, but it’s important to note that it has not faced a powerhouse like Dinamo Zagreb. Although Dinamo Zagreb struggled against Thun, it was the team that ultimately advanced to the next round. To secure advancement in its first home game, it could overwhelm its opponent with a high-pressure game and flood the net with goals.

I agree that Dinamo is the favorite in the match against Kauno Zalgiris, but Dinamo was also a big favorite in the previous match against Thun and barely went further, with a miraculous turnaround and a 3:2 victory after losing 2:0 at home, and only after the Thun player was sent off.
Kauno Zalgiris is an unknown club to me, but given that they made it to the 3rd round of qualification, they are not bad and Dynamo will have problems if they enter this game relaxed, like in the match against Thun.
Of the other matches, I think the most interesting matches will be between Sparta and Lyon, Union and Bodo and Fenerbahçe and Sturm, and I expect uncertain matches until the end.

In my view, there are two noteworthy matches in the Champions League today. The first is Sparta Prague vs. Lyon (although Lyon is the favorite here, Prague could pull off a surprise).

The other match is between Union SG and Bodø/Glimt. Both teams competed in the Champions League last year, and Bodø, in particular, had a very successful season.
Now, one of these two teams will miss out on the league phase. I see Bodø as the more likely team to advance in this tie.

Considering Bodo/Glimt's successful run in the Champions League last season, they have a solid chance of reaching the group stage. Lyon is also a strong side, fully capable of making it to the main draw. It will also be interesting to keep an eye on Crvena Zvezda, Olympiacos, and Dinamo Zagreb. These teams are the favorites in their ties and stand a good chance of advancing to the fourth Champions League qualifying round.

After the win against Thun, Dinamo are favourites to qualify for the Champions League. They should comfortably beat Žalgiris over two legs, but for me the main problem is that they could face Viking in the playoff—the worst opponent they could get. Still, I believe they can qualify for the Champions League.

Indeed Zalgiris is a very easy opponent to deal with. I hope Dinamo don't mess things up which would help Beşiktaş in the Europa League at the same time.

Because the loser of this matchup will face them there. I would love to see Beşiktaş moving on to playoffs and even league phase with Vincenzo Italiano.

But if Dinamo lose this one surprisingly then they would be a more challenging opponent for the Turkish team.  Sad

However, until Real shows that they have become a team again, and not just a collection of expensive players without discipline, for me the main favorites to win the Champions League this season are still PSG and Bayern.

Yes, Real Madrid have a duty to fight for the title, they are an important team with a competent coach who have won a lot. Of course Mourinho hasn't been doing well lately, but i think it could be his year. It will also be difficult to win the Champions League, but Real Madrid have always done well in the Champions League, they rarely make mistakes for many years. Of course Paris Saint-Germain is a strong team and has the best coach at the moment. Bayern to see how it goes.

When you said Real Madrid is an important team it makes me wonder if there is a team that is not important, been important doesn't mean they can not or they won't have a downtime. Every team do have a downtime when they won't perform or function as they use to but it should not be for too long otherwise it becomes a very big problem to solve. I believe they will do well but that doesn't mean they will win all the trophy, it is going to be a gradual process.

It’s really challenging to be Vinicius Jnr you know, at one point, he was the most valued player in Real Madrid and it literally did look as though the entire club depended on him and suddenly, Mbappe comes in from a free transfer and takes it all, the fans and pay grade, all of it. I don’t see how he would be paid as much as Mbappe, Mbappe is way more better than Vinicius Jnr to be frank and his got the capacity to carry the club.
Real Madrid might just spice his contract a little but, I don’t see Vini leaving even in the event that they do not.

Mourinho reaction to the players performance during the preseason games shows he is unhappy with the team, he has lots of work to do with the players, we may be expecting results far too soon from Mourinho because the players are not in their best form yet, certain orders haven't been put in check.

Real Madrid might start being the club we intend them to be in the middle of the season, the players need more time to adapt, and also some new signings are kind of poorly performing, judging from the preseason games.

I think he can help the team, but we are not sure because other teams are also not slacking, every team is preparing really strong against next season.

It's certainly true that it's a shame that he wasn't able to win the championship, Mourinho now has the duty to bring Real Madrid to the top, he has strong players and he can't go this long without winning anything. Obviously the other teams are also improving, i think La Liga is a more balanced championship. Cheesy

Yes, even the owners would have discussed with him and he saw the reality of what the team was facing in the past two seasons; for him to have accepted the job, he knew that there will be so much expectation that is why he can’t afford to make any error, and he will want all players to do their best in order to make the team great again.

Starting from solving the dressing room problem, to making the team great again, he have a lot of work to do although he has been there before, and he can do it but not for long because the pattern of football has completely changed.

It is good for a club like Real Madrid to accommodate big players but it should not be at the detriment of their pocket and financial stability because anything which is going to affect them financially as big as the team is they should just avoid liabilities which will make them financially incapable of handling many other things. I therefore advise the club to look inwards and make the appropriate decisions for themselves. Having the likes of Vini Jr together with Mbappe in the same squad

Real Madrid have a very huge responsibility on their head especially with the new manager, there have been the best team so far in the Champions League because they have the highest record of winning this particular trophy, that is why they are the best. Mourinho was here before but he could not be able to win champions League, this is even the main reason why I have so much confidence in their performance to win it in coming season.

The paris Saint-Germain that you have mentioned have the quality of winning it again too but honestly they will face a lot of challenges compare to last two seasons that didn't won it. I don't know why you didn't mention Arsenal on your list, I am expecting another surprise again with them because they are still in a better form up to now.

Of course Paris Saint-Germain is a strong team and has the best coach at the moment. Bayern to see how it goes.
The new players that Real Madrid have signed in the pre-season have not been in great form yet, which is why we can see that Jose Mourinho is still unhappy with the performance of these players. This team has a qualified manager who has won many titles, so I think they have hired this manager to win the title in the upcoming season and are recruiting players from all categories to their team.

Look, Real Madrid's first goal for the upcoming season will be to regain the La Liga title because they have not achieved this glory in two seasons, but it is true that this team has always been doing well in the Champions League, even their record in winning this particular trophy is the highest, in fact you notice Paris Saint-Germain is currently dominating the Champions League because the skills and tactics of this team are at a high level, which means they have the ability to achieve the glory of becoming its champion again.

It's certainly true that it's a shame that he wasn't able to win the championship, Mourinho now has the duty to bring Real Madrid to the top, he has strong players and he can't go this long without winning anything. Obviously the other teams are also improving, i think La Liga is a more balanced championship. Cheesy
It was a huge record to have; unbeaten in the season but couldn't get a trophy and I bet you that would have been a big achievement. Mourinho helped Madrid win some titles in his time and as such, there'd be expectations of him to do it again especially now that the Los Blancos haven't secured any major trophy in a while now.

I'm thinking of watching the game between Dinamo Zagreb and Kauno Zalgiris today. That's because the loser of this matchup will be our opponent in the next round of the Europa League. I think Dinamo Zagreb will easily pass through this round. The Lithuanian league is quite small, Kauno Zalgiris is good at basketball but isn't at the level to compete with the big teams in football. In fact their squad value appears to be under 5 million Euro only. Dinamo Zagreb will most likely beat them in both games.

You should never underestimate any opponent. That's why I'll be watching Kauno Zalgiris. It'll be fun to see how physically strong they are and if they have any talented players. Sometimes you can find promising players from smaller teams. You feel like a scout and I love that feeling when watching different games. Grin

It will not be easy for Real Madrid. Although Real Madrid has many good players but their team is not in good shape. Yes it is true that Real Madrid has a good and qualified coach but it will not be easy for Mourinho to take the team back to the previous situation. This season it may be very difficult for Real Madrid to win the UCL and we may see something good from Real Madrid next season. Because Arsenal is in very good form this season Bayern Munich is in great form PSG is in great form and on the other hand Real Madrid's closest and biggest rival Barcelona is also in good form

In terms of quality, Dinamo Zagreb is better than Kauno Zalgiris, there is no reason whatsoever for Dinamo Zagreb to lose to Kauno Zalgiris in this match. I don't mean to underestimate Kauno Zalgiris, but I simply don't see any chance of them securing a draw in this match. The match is currently underway with the score at 0 - 0, shortly before the first half ends, we will see Dinamo Zagreb score at least one goal.

I expect Real Madrid to return back to dominating Europe again under Mourinho, but what I'm not sure of is if he'll do it in his first season.

la liga itself already dominating world football man. and the main reason is real madrid.
clubs playing in this league have won 10 CL titles, 10 UEFA Europa League titles and 12 UEFA Super Cups over the last 20 years. in other words, they took home 32 out of the last 60 trophies awarded in Europe. teams from the other 50+ UEFA member countries managed to win just 28 trophies combined...

Last season proved that La Liga is no longer as dominant, and I'd challenge the idea that it controls world football. The Champions League final featured a French club and an English club, with Atletico Madrid being the only Spanish side able to reach the semifinals. Meanwhile, Aston Villa won the Europa League, and every La Liga team was knocked out in the quarterfinals. The 2024–25 season wasn't exactly a great one for Spanish clubs on the international stage either, to put it mildly. So I wouldn't be so quick to talk about La Liga's dominance today based solely on the past achievements of Spanish clubs.

imo la liga is clearly the biggest league in the world because it boasts the two clubs that no footballer can ever say no to. Barcelona and Real Madrid...

if Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal or Newcastle United offer the exact same contract as Barcelona or Real Madrid, most players will still follow their hearts and choose Spain. As a twist of fate, Barcelona usually signs the most elite player for a specific position if there's a need, meaning you have to be in the right place at the right time but Real Madrid simply goes after whoever they believe is at the absolute pinnacle of the sport Smiley.

No Premier League club operates this way. Spain has been at the absolute top since 2000 across the Champions League, European competitions and the national team level anyway.

Vini jr is a good player, but one I still want people to understand is the fact that he is not as good as Mbappe. He was in the team before Mbappe we all know that, but the thing is Mbappe is super talented and doing better than but Vini jr want the team management should do everything for him,  just as they are doing for Mbappe because he feel he is there before Mbappe.

As you said Vini jr is not leaving Real Madrid the management will just add some little things to the team, and then probably he will stay in the team and continue doing better as he always known for.

Brazil is really struggling to produce quality footballers these days. Alongside all those mediocre players, Vinicius Jr. shines like a diamond. he's pretty much the only guy at the highest level who can still give us a taste of that classic Brazilian football...
