I don't think Manchester United currently has the ability and resources to be able to compete in the Champions League. i say this without malice, but it comes from a championship with ups and downs, with a stop to this team behavior arrived with the new coach Carrick, who i hope for him, but he will hardly be able to hold his own in three competitions at the same time.

I am a Manchester United fan and I can not deny the fact that Manchester United is still not ready to win any trophy cause if they are by now they would have signed a good left back to replace luck Shaw who's old and weak at the moment, a good defender to start ahead of Maguire. The team has a good coach but after the defeat against AC Milan you would see the loopholes in the team and they need to make the signing to strengthen the team. Micheal Carrick will be able to handle all the competition that United will pay but he needs the squad and the management needs to sign the players or they will still underperform.

There is less than an hour to go until today's main match, NEC vs. Bodo/Glimt. Last season, Bodo/Glimt managed to beat big teams such as Inter and Manchester City. The Norwegian club also comes into this match in excellent form, having won six games in a row in the Norwegian league. NEC, on the other hand, are only just getting into the season and have already suffered a home defeat. Considering the difference in match fitness and experience, Bodo/Glimt look like the stronger side even away from home. I think the Norwegian side have a good chance of winning today.

Do you think Manchester United is among the teams with a complete squad in the Champions League? I don’t think Manchester United has the complete squad to compete for the Champions League. Manchester United will need to make more signings before the end of the transfer window. Other teams are busy signing 4 to 5 players during the transfer market, and Manchester United only signed two midfielders, thinking they can beat every opponent they face this season.

However, Michael Carrick is trying to convert Dorgu from left back to left forward, so I expect the team to sign another left back as a backup for Shaw. Luke Shaw is an injury player, we are not confident enough that he will be fit throughout this season. Manchester United also needs more attacking players to compete with Rashford because he is not at his best level anymore.
They'll try, I don't want to start underrating any team right now, the UEFA champions League will start soon, every team will have to show what they got, athough I agree with you that they need more players, and I'm sure the management is aware of this, the few players signed are not enough, Michael Carrick should should request for what is needed to get more players for his team, to avoid being frustrated.
With what Carrick did last season it has made people see him as a good manager but this season might be different because we can see preparation of different teams which might be difficult for incompetent team to compete in such scenario.

In my opinion, Manchester United's squad isn't strong enough for the Champions League. Tielemans stands out as the most notable name among their signings.
Rashford has returned after completing his loan spell. It remains to be seen how Andrey Santos—signed from Chelsea—will perform; although he is a young player, I am unsure what kind of contribution he can make for Manchester United in the Champions League.

Carrick did a fantastic job last year. He might achieve good league results again this season, but the Champions League is a completely different level.

If the Manchester United management were truly aiming for the Champions League, they would have made targeted, high-impact signings; however, I don't believe that is their current intention.

Bodo/Glimt 3 while playing away vs 0 for NEC at home. There is half an hour left for the game approximately. The result wasn't surprising, after all Bodo is quite good as you mentioned and NEC isn't that good from the past season already.
This game and Celtic one are the only matches where a team is leading. Both of them scored 3 goals until now.

It is not always good to look down on any team, if not I would have said that it should be a work over for NEC because they can’t withstand the power of Bodo Glimt.
The match is still in play but NEC is losing 3-0 at 80 minutes at their home stadium, I can’t imagine how many goals they will concede if they visit Bodo Glimt at their home stadium because they will be humiliated I must say.
Due to Bodo Glimt’s champions league performance last season, they should go back to the Champions League again next season because they were very good and pulled up an amazing performance in the Champions league last season.

The table has already been turned around in favour of bodo/glimt as they are winning with 3 goals to one, from beginning many doubted bodo's consistency and believed the game will end in probability but here we go its a grand winning in flying colours we are about to witness at the end of the game.
I will say if  bodo could maintain in such momentum it will be a good season for them and may even exceed the position they ended last season in the champions league tournament.

Bodø/Glimt beat NEC 3–1 away from home, giving themselves a huge advantage. Next week's match should be a comfortable one for them.
Unless something unexpected happens, Bodø/Glimt will qualify for the Champions League again this season.

Celtic beat LASK Linz 3–0 at home in a very comfortable victory. Next week should also be an easy match for Celtic, and I'd say they have a 99% chance of qualifying for the Champions League.

Hapoel Be'er Sheva beat Sabah 2–1 at home, so we're in for a very competitive second leg next week.

Slovan Bratislava and Celje drew 1–1, meaning we'll find out next week which team will qualify for the Champions League. Celje have the advantage.

Manchester United is working to sign new left back before the transfer market close because they know well that they need a better defense of the want to win any trophy this season. Manchester United is considering to sign the Racing Satander’s Salinas and if they can get the deal done then it will help them in that position this season.

Even if they later make the signings, Manchester United is not going to be considered part of the favorites to win the Champions League this season, they are part of the favorite for the Premier League title though since Carrick was able to perform wonderful last season but the Champions League is different.

I think the same way about Bodø/Glimt qualifying for the Champions League, under their recent form, I expect to see them in many other Champions Leagues season, the performance of last Champions League which I have to accept how greatly they did, my expectations still remains positive on how they can survive until here and what they are capable of when the season begins.

In my opinion, Celtic and Bodø/Glimt got the results they wanted from the first legs; it would have been a surprise for either of them to be eliminated anyway.
The match between Bratislava and Celje ended in a 1–1 draw; a penalty shootout might well decide which team advances from this tie.
Hapoel won 2–1 and secured a slight advantage, but I believe Sabah will win the return leg by at least a two-goal margin and advance.
With Qarabağ last year and Sabah this year, Azerbaijani football is clearly on the rise.

Fenerbahçe didn't get the result they wanted last night and had to settle for a draw. They couldn't make good use of the home advantage or the support from their fans, making things much more difficult for themselves heading into next week's match.

For Lyon, getting a draw away from home is a good result. They will play the return leg at home next week, so the advantage is now on their side.

I would give Fenerbahçe around a 30–35% chance of advancing.

Fenerbahçe has a slightly better roster than in previous years, but the starting lineup against Lyon and the poor player selections continue to lead to failure. Asensio should have started against Lyon. Nene should have started instead of Kerem. We saw just how creative he was after coming off the bench. Guendouzi has been making major mistakes for two matches now due to a lack of communication within the defense. Fenerbahçe has no player who can replace him, so they don’t have the luxury of resting him. There’s a communication problem in Fenerbahçe’s defense. If this team continues to be managed this way, even a Lyon team in such poor form will eliminate Fenerbahçe. I think Fenerbahçe’s chances of advancing are slim.

Slovan Bratislava and Celtic are the clear favorites in their respective ties. The other two matchups look much more evenly balanced. I think it's no secret that the main game of the day is NEC vs. Bodo/Glimt.

Bodo Glimt has already demonstrated last year in the Champions League that it is a truly competitive team and that it knows how to play very well in close quarters. As a result, she remains one of the favorites for the move. The other could easily be Celtic, who always remain the favorites in their championship and the one with the greatest chance of entering.

Enzo to Real Madrid though, I don't see how that would help the team. I've not being very found of his play while at Chelsea and I think Real Madrid wouldn't bring out his best either if he manages to sign.

Personally, Enzo Fernandez is a player who has always done his job correctly.
I don't think he has ever done more than necessary and i don't even think that Real Madrid want to spend such a high amount of money on his signing. While as far as Rodri is concerned, i also see him as the perfect card to play for Barcelona's midfield.

Well, I saw in the news that Real Madrid are pushing to sign Enzo Fernandes from Chelsea as the player is open to a move and many other teams are also interested in him. This will be a big sale for Chelsea but will he be the best to handle that midfield for them in the long run that is the question now after Rodri deal failed to work out? Mourinho the special one will have a way to strengthen that midfield.

Looking at Mourinho's statements, you can see a certain certainty in his words, a certain side of concreteness. A certainty that we can see as a smile under his mustache that hides something.
It almost seems that he has found the team harmony that was needed to give Real Madrid that extra step. We'll see if this is actually the case.

The most surprising result of the day might be the way Bodø/Glimt won I guess.  Tongue  I mean of course I know of their journey in the CL last season. They were really stunning!

However in this match against NEC they weren't highly favoured. Bookmakers expected a very close match. NEC had a serious statistical superiority actually but still lost like this. It looks like the Norwegian side will be in league phase again...

This is where Barcelona shows their strength against Real Madrid, Real Madrid get offensive in attack to a fault, though it's there game play, but they should remember that Barcelona is more about tiki-taka, that style breaks the defence and midfield of most teams, so Mourinho needs to approach things differently, I just hope he didn't even bring the idea of packing the Bus in Madrid.

However, Real Madrid must be very careful because they remain a team that, even with the addition of full-backs and central defenders, in a match against Barcelona, Real Madrid will play in a more offensive way, while Barcelona in a more schematic way. So Real Madrid will have to be very careful on the defensive side.

I felt more confident and thought Fenerbahçe could win there were a few reasons for that but unfortunately, they only managed a draw, of course I lost.
It's a bit annoying to see 3 matches end in a draw today , I'm pretty sure almost all parlay bets lose lol.

The difficult thing about betting is precisely the unpredictability. Chances, sometimes in football, mean nothing. For example, in discounted games with low odds many times, they don't go as expected and it can be those games that ruin a possible bet. So you need to pay close attention and also try to diversify the types of bets.

NEC had more possession and attacked more, but Bodo/Glimt won thanks to their quality and better finishing. The second leg will be played at Bodo/Glimt's home ground, and it will be difficult for NEC to overturn a two-goal deficit, although it is not impossible. Although Bodo/Glimt only need a draw to go through, I don't think they will simply sit back, especially when playing at home. They already made a mistake in the Champions League round of 16 against Sporting, when they had a three-goal advantage but lost the second leg after conceding five goals. I think that if Bodo/Glimt don't sit deep in the second leg, they will have every chance of reaching the league phase of the Champions League.

I didn't see the game but I did bet on it. It was just a simple bet on Fenerbahce to win or draw. I knew they were playing at home so at least they should put up a decent performance to get bare minimum of draw after that horrible loss last weekend. Anyway, I'm glad the bet entered but but Fenerbahce lack of form is becoming worrisiome.

Btw, I'm happy that Greenwood has hit the ground running. I'm not a fan but I wish him well.

Greenwood comes from an exceptional season with Marseille. He showed his many qualities, his ability to move in tight spaces and know how to score decisively. Quality that he managed to bring out even in the first important match with his new team with which he will try to pass.

After losing the first league game of the season, I can only imagine what it would have been like if Fenerbache had lost at home to Lyon. It would have been disastrous, and Ismail Kartal would have been under immense pressure. Thank goodness Fenerbache pulled one back to restore parity. It's not the result I expected, but it's still better than defeat. Let's see what happens in the second leg, but if I'm being honest, Fenerbahçe will be having a difficult mountain to climb.

For Fenerbahce the most difficult match will be the return match, because as we know the Lyon stadium is still a difficult place to play. Lyon will play with more calm and with the trust of their fans, something that Fenerbahce is perhaps less used to facing, having been missing from important competitions for a long time.
