Their current performance doesn't mean that you should rule them out because that is how they always struggle in the beginning of the season. Even in Champions League group stage, they do qualify through playoffs.

I believe that Enrique Luis knows what he's doing. It seems that, he's is preserving his team quality till when the right time comes. You don't need to use the performance of a team in their domestic league to judge their performance in international league.

But PSG's performance at the beginning of last season was not this bad. We see that PSG did not start this season well. Although the situation could be different in the Champions League, bettors might look at their performance from several league matches.
I am not sure what the coach is doing with the team. But a few bad results could trigger dissatisfaction from various parties. Especially since the competition in Ligue 1 is not as tight as in other leagues. They should be able to dominate more as usual.

I think the manager is as confused as we are, let's not give out excuses for a team performing poorly, and everyone can clearly see that the team is trying really hard to keep up the play, the manager and players know they need improving, and going forward may cost them what they've been winning consecutively for years. I will believe without any doubt if it's about PSG winning Ligue 1, but not for the Champions League, I have my biggest doubts.

PSG are not going to be Champions League winners, It won't happen again this year, not with this sort of performance.

I think this season one of the English clubs will lift the trophy.
Which English club do you think will do so?

I personally think the trophy might go back to Spain? Real Madrid just finished two trophiless seasons, so they must be very hungry for success under Mourinho, and then Barcelona wants to also end that long UCL drought through their brilliant youngsters or perhaps Germany (Bayern Munich)?

It seems to me that the reason why PSG are starting new seasons so poorly is because Enrique gives them some time in the summer to rest. You can't always play to the limit of your strength, because sooner or later the players will get tired and either injuries will occur, or they will start to lose. Or you need to have a lot of reserve players so that you can rotate the squad in different tournaments. But as we see, Enrique uses only a small rotation, and basically more or less the same players play during the season.

Paris Saint-Germain didn't start the championship well, maybe they're still full of work and aren't giving their best. Or too restful who knows. They will certainly be back in shape soon and will give everyone a hard time, the others must take advantage of it now and win matches and then try to bother Paris Saint-Germain. It will be tough though.
This season will be a long one with many games for psg, so giving players that enough rest during summer could help them stay fit , but rotation is very important and if the same players always play every game the tiredness will be too much and they can easily pick up injuries.

The slow start is just like warm up for them and other teams should take that advantage now because once psg come back into form, it would be difficult for other teams to beat them.

The English clubs still don't seem to be prominent, Arsenal and Manchester City still have weaknesses. Arsenal's chances are very small.

I agree with you that the title might go to Spain, it's hard to say which team will win it. Barcelona seems more likely than Real Madrid. France seems more likely than Germany, because Bayern Munich still have weaknesses in terms of pressure tolerance. They are not strong enough for the big matches yet. If I were to line up, the line up would be - 1. Spain 2. France 3. Germany 4. England 5. Italy.

PSG are not going to be Champions League winners, It won't happen again this year, not with this sort of performance.

So far PSG hasn't won at all. After two draws, they actually suffered a loss against Monaco. I'm curious about what's going on with PSG are they sort of starting the season slowly? Because PSG performance right now is really different from last season when they played full of spirit, but this season their performance is really different.

That's true. Although PSG started the season badly, it can't be used as a benchmark because Enrique has already managed to win the UCL trophy twice despite a bad start, and they even had to go through the playoff round in the past two seasons. But on the other hand, I also have the same thought as you, I’m doubtful about PSG’s performance this season and whether they can do the same thing this year. Maybe PSG can still catch up points in Ligue 1, but I have my doubts that they can maintain the UCL title this season. With the way PSG is playing and their current spirit, I actually believe PSG won’t be able to go further in the UCL this season.

I want to ask you about the Arsenal vs Napoli match in the Champions League, basically I got a free bet which is about $75/0.001BTC, so I placed the free bet on Arsenal winning. In general, I think Arsenal will win the match, since it is the beginning of the league, they will not start the league by losing points, and so I placed the free bet on Arsenal without thinking too much.
What do you think? Can Arsenal win the match? Last season in the Champions League, Napoli was 30th, but in terms of Serie A, Napoli is a good team, but anyway, this is not Serie A, and so I believe that Arsenal will win. But I am interested to hear your opinion on the possibility of Arsenal winning.

Personally i find Allegri to be a coach with zero ideas. I've been thinking this for several years now. At Juve he only made one defensive play. Going to Milan, same thing. Now is happening again in Napoli. So, in addition to imagining a possible victory for Arsenal, the hope is precisely that Napoli will realize that they have a coach on the bench with no skills or game ideas.

PSG might still be one of the strongest favourites to win the tournament, but quite frankly, their recent league performance is quite appalling for club of their calibre.
They split points in their first two games and today they are losing to Monaco 2-1 at home with a few minutes left till the end.

We could blame the beginning of the season and the fact they didn't play that many friendlies, but I'm not sure if that's a good excuse.
They also failed to win any of their two pre-season friendlies, but did win the UEFA Super Cup against Aston Villa (2-1).

I think this season one of the English clubs will lift the trophy.

Although it is still too early to say, I do not expect PSG to succeed in the Champions League this year; in fact, I do not think they will even reach the quarter-finals. Things will be very difficult for them as long as Safonov is in goal.

In my opinion, the favorite this year is Real Madrid. They lost to Betis in their last match, but Real Madrid was the dominant side on the pitch.
The only problem at Real Madrid is that certain players want to exert control over the team. If Jose Mourinho does not use his experience to weed out some of these players, he will be dismissed before the season ends.
He must find a way to get rid of Vinicius at all costs.

As for the English teams, they are currently hitting their stride.

The trophy will go either to Real Madrid or to one of the English teams.
It may be a bold prediction, but PSG will never win the title.

All of this teams are potential contenders for the title and I don’t think that any of them could find it easy to prevail in the end because they have tough opponents throughout the game. Those odds looks good and if you’re to bet with amongst five teams there on a separate bet all, one of them will undoubtedly win it in the end. I am seeing a potential in most of them but we shall get to see what they have to show us that convincing enough to make them be the best team for the title they’re fighting for.
It's a fact; we also can't leave out PSG and Real Madrid, who are showing great promise. It's true that some teams have struggled in the Champions League, but despite that, I see a lot of improvement in Barcelona. I still see some vulnerabilities in Real Madrid, and PSG didn't have the best start in Ligue 1.

However, domestic leagues are one thing, and the Champions League is completely different. We've seen that PSG, who had a so-so start, are improving as the season progresses. They are the defending champions, so we can't underestimate them; they're a very strong team.

Perhaps PSG’s slump at the start of this season is linked to the departure of several players during the transfer window, such as Bradley Barcola’s move from PSG to Liverpool, followed by Goncalo Ramos, Ibhahim Mbaye, Kolo Muani, and Kang In Lee. I don’t know the details, but sometimes losing a single player who, unbeknownst to many, is actually a key strength of the team can disrupt the team’s balance. This has happened before at PSG. However, PSG still has good squad depth, especially since they’ve also signed several quality players.

It’s also possible that PSG is still making some adjustments and adapting. If that’s the case, PSG could gradually get back on track. However, in the UCL, they can’t afford to lose their team balance. In the UCL, they can’t make any mistakes if they want to keep advancing. Fortunately, their first match isn’t against a team of equal strength. Instead, PSG will face Slovan Bratislava, and I think PSG can win that match.

Aside from Barcola and maybe Goncalo Ramos, the rest of the players you mentioned played little to no role in PSG's success in previous season. Imo, the players they brought in have compensated a great deal so far. They signed Ferran Torres, Godts and others.

If you are worried about PSG's poor start, don't be. The past 2-3 seasons have shown that PSG often starts the league slow and then build momentum later on. This is how they started last season and the season before and in both of those seasons, they won the league. Luiz Enrique even spoke to the media after that Monaco loss that anybody that thinks they are not title contenders or whether they will defend their UCL title is in for surprises.

A slow start? I think this is most likely the worst start they have had in the last decade or am I wrong? 2 points out of the first three matches, I don't think this has happened in any of the last ten seasons. As for the new players they brought in, I don't think that Torres is the same level as their best three attackers when they are in good shape. The Torres transfer surprised me to be honest, but maybe they already had min mind that they they need a more or less solid backup, but in my opinion he does not strengthen the squad. He doesn't have the pace that PSG is known for, he is not that good at dribbling or 1v1, he isn't scoring as much. This doesn't mean he is a bad player, he is good, but PSG was pure excellence in the most important matches and I don't see him there.

I believe that this season will be much harder for PSG. Don't forget that the match against Lille was a dead certain loss until they scored those two goals in overtime. This would have meant two losses in three matches and while any team can have a bad start, PSG has a long way to go.

Spain 2. France 3. Germany 4. England 5. Italy.
Did you watch the game between Arsenal vs Chelsea in the Premier League? Do you think Arsenal is not prominent enough to compete for the Champions League title, I can't say for Manchester City, but among other clubs, City will do well but are not the favorite as champions.

Barcelona have been impressive, they are quite good to compete for the Champions League, i will place them as a favorite to compete against Arsenal for the Champions League, one thing among the Premier League favorites is that their defense is unmatched, even City did an upgrade.

But PSG have only beaten Aston Villa in the UEFA Super Cup. And as it turned out, the reason was most likely that Aston Villa were in even worse shape than PSG. Their official Ligue 1 matches have shown just how poor PSG are at the moment. And they are particularly poor when it comes to finishing their chances, because they are not actually playing that badly and are creating a lot of opportunities in attack, but for some reason, scoring goals has been incredibly difficult for them.

They have always started poorly this way. I can go back to when they won their first ever Champions league competition and they had such a slow start to both the Champions League competition and League 1. Although, what we have seen for the past three games is beyond ridiculous. They have to go on winning the next games ahead. Luis Enrique would make sure of that eventually but if it is not sorted, they will find it difficult to catch up with clubs like Monaco and Co.

English Club?! Lmfao! It's obviously a Spanish club and it screams no other club than Barcelona. The combination of Pedri and Rodri is beautiful, I believe if PSG slacks, Barcelona will most definitely emerge as possible winners.

Yeah, Barcelona and Arsenal are the 2 favorites this year according to the people on Polymarket. Only 1 team becomes the anomaly on this top 10 list, which is Manchester United. The top 6 are okay for me, feels like the ideal teams to win the UCL, feels closer to the "reality" that I (and maybe all football fans) wish to happen.

However, look at the strange thing on the right pic, Manchester United is not in the top 10. The market's implied probability for them is even less than 50%. Do you guys think it's a chance to make money on this market?

Tomorrow UCL has officially started with the first match, namely Brugge against Aston Villa. But of course the big game was interesting in the opening match between Inter vs Madrid. Assuming Madrid performance is still difficult to predict, do you think they are likely to lose or win as a result?

Inter are a fairly tenacious team, players of mature age and often display a strong defense. This is a tough test for Mourinho to be able to make his players disciplined.

Do you think Mbappe deserves to be in the starting XI or is it better to give Espi a chance?

Of course Mbappé will be in the starting lineup, there’s absolutely no doubt about that. Every player can make mistakes, and especially considering that before the game against Betis, Mourinho praised Mbappé for the goals he had scored in the previous matches. So there’s no doubt about it. And I think Real Madrid should beat Inter at home, despite the fact that Inter are a good team with a solid defense. I don’t think Real will slip up twice in a row.

I also think PSG will beat Slovan Bratislava. Even though PSG are in poor form at the moment, they are much stronger than their opponents, and it’s time for them to end this winless run.

The AEK-LASK match will be played at the same time as the Club Brugge-Aston Villa match. Therefore, it would be more accurate to say that the Champions League will begin with these two matches. As for the Real Madrid-Inter match, I think Real Madrid will be very close to securing three points at home. I believe they have a better squad than Inter. Furthermore, Real Madrid has the home advantage. Inter will be aiming for a draw, while Real Madrid is focused solely on winning. A good start to the Champions League is crucial.

Good question, and the answer is, of course, that Madrid will win. You can see for yourself from the head to head record between the two teams in the modern era. Madrid have always had the upper hand.

Quote
Inter are a fairly tenacious team, players of mature age and often display a strong defense. This is a tough test for Mourinho to be able to make his players disciplined.
Defense alone is not enough to rely on. Madrid's attacking creativity is far more dangerous than Inter's defensive strength.

Quote
Do you think Mbappe deserves to be in the starting XI or is it better to give Espi a chance?
Espi is still inexperienced. Would Mourinho really make the ridiculous decision to start Espi in the starting XI? I think the reason is obvious. Mbappe is more deserving of a starting spot, while Espi can be used as a backup option.
