Even though Jose Mourinho has won some European title as a coach, I think he is also a specialist in failure as he used to call Arsene Wenger. Mourinho reached the Champions League semifinal for 3 consecutive seasons as Real Madrid coach in his first time which was between 2010 to 2013. I agree that he had one of the best squad then because those were the prime years of Cristiano Ronaldo, Mesut Özil, Ángel Di María, Karim Benzema, Gonzalo Higuaín and many others including Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa who are now coaches.

Anyways, they are still in the Champions League picture and the winner will emerge inside the 4 teams you mentioned. But Arsenal and PSG still holds the higher chances.

Real Madrid are knows to be called king of the champions league because of their long term history in the competition. They have dominated the competition more than any other team and when they play here, they play to their best to make sure that they finish at the top. I can’t say the same this time around because of how they came back into the competition.

They have a new coach and they’re also expecting anything big from him. He is an experienced coach but I still think that there is still room for improvement. They are not playing very great now, but I am sure they will improve in their performance soon. Yes, Real Madrid is definitely one of the strongest teams in the UCL, but we may not see much from them this season. Because the way they are performing in La Liga, it doesn't seem like their performance will improve much this season.
