Might be that you see those certain CEOs only during certain period and not aware how they are dress during of the time. I have also noticed that certain CEOs or rich people dress modestly. However they not always dress like that or that they had such dressing style all the time. Simple and modest dressing style is common for a very wealthy people, but imo they prefer 1) "Quiet luxury" or "illusion of simplicity"; meaning look is simple, but clothes are costly 2) Simple security measures. Clothes without big brand names on it will attract less unnecessary attention.
