For those you that are celebrating the city case and are so desperate to see Manchester City out of the way because they hold the key to your success in the Premier League. Are you all aware that your hero Rui Pinto the guy that leaked the email that made the premier league start investigating Manchester City, because that was the only way to make the red cartel happy, has put up a Gofundme account and is looking for money to go into hiding indefinitely. I hope the likes of KTChampions and others that has been tweaking on this case will send him some money to help him achieve dream of running away now that the case is about to get more interesting. If you haven’t seen or heard about it, which I doubt given how active you guys are on this so called 115 or should I say 114 charges now, here is the link to his tweet. https://x.com/ruipinto_fl/status/2106081951744483408 Hahaha

I think to understand the real opinion about the City's relegation, we need to look for those who are ready to accept the bet that No, it will not be relegated.
Based on what I read, the Premier League is separated from the Championship, League 1, etc etc, so they cannot relegate the team by their own decision because the Championship can deny the procedure. The closest thing they could do is giving City a huge penalization that would basically make it impossible to remain in the Premier League so, for example, City would get 80 points of penalization, in that case they would be relegated in a "natural way". But considering all the games of power and money I highly doubt this will be the outcome. In my opinion they'll give City some kind of penalization just enough to keep them outside of the European competitions but not big enough to get them relegated. Let's say something like 35 points for example. I love your point of view, judgement are not really given according to people view point, that is while they said most time the eyes of the law differ from mere human view though is written by human the judge may have some consideration that may favour city to remedeem image mostly team with such weight with high level of fans taken some decisions that will bring down the club and make people untrusting may be very hard , though no system is completely free from bribe though may not be obviously seen but things happen around various system that act as edge of favour to covered some secret. I concord that your point is the factual point where everything will surmount to be.

Sounds like you're a City fan - am I right? The only bad thing I see here is that there's no Abramovich-era Chelsea anymore. They did the same things and got away with it. Of course it's unfair that one (or two) teams can buy 5-10 top players every season and keep doing it again and again. Because of that cheating, other teams lost money, couldn't buy players, and so on. But I think the outcome will be fairly lenient: some fines and a points deduction. Maybe relegation, but I doubt it.

If all the accusations are truly false, what we support is the truth. What's the point of supporting anything other than the truth when we have no stake in it that could generate profits? In the world of football, incidents like this have happened before, outside of English football. This isn't about which team is being accused or who is doing the accusing, but about professionalism in a truly fair league.

I see this as a necessary judgment to keep the league competitive. We've punished other clubs, let's see proportionate punishment for City. And no, I don't ever forget the sources. I've always had a deep respect for journalists, all the Leaks people, and whitehat hackers. We all should. Pinto and his kind should be all our heroes, or you don't like them? Just curious. I think to understand the real opinion about the City's relegation, we need to look for those who are ready to accept the bet that No, it will not be relegated. I think bookmakers are just hyping things up right now. The real assessment is found in prediction markets, and the outlook there isn't quite as optimistic - odds against City being relegated are hovering around 1.30 Definitely losing a lot of value betting on a book now for relegation (if No on Poly is 1.3 then Yes should be 3.2 even accounting for juice). I'm not falling for it, already learnt my lesson. For me, it's about how fast the decision happens, rather than if. And as long as books keep it to a season, it's a losing bet.

Can you please explain what you mean by Chelsea got away with it? If you're referring to Abrahamovic era financial doping, you can not say Chelsea got away with it. Have you forgotten how Chelsea were ban from transfer market for two times? Chelsea were punished with fines and transfer ban. Moreover, Chelsea case is quite different from Manchester city case. If we compare the two clubs offense and their severity, I would say City got away with it even if they received the same punishment as Chelsea. Chelsea already paid for their offences and they're still under investigation.

You use some specific words that the employees (or those who are paid by City) use - there is no red cartel or "so-called charges", there is the League and the fraudulent City club that violated the League rules 114 times (from what has been found and proven, it is clear that they committed more crimes). Tell me honestly, are you a City fan? There’s no shame in it - just admit it. I’d actually be glad to meet a real City fan, as far as I know, there are literally only a few hundred of them worldwide (excluding the players' relatives, masseurs, and other staff)

They should just penalize Manchester City once and for all if they want to punish them and set an example with them so that other teams won’t make such mistake again or better still ask them to pay a fine or rather forgive them completely, this continues back and forth on this case is really irrelevant to me, it is even causing unnecessary tension amongst fans and the footballing community at large and i don’t think this is what fans need at the moment, the case should be concluded so that even the players in the Man city team will know their stance because trust me if by anyway huge points are deducted from Man city and they are relegated to a lower league some of their players will want to leave.

I was wondering what Mancity's response was to the allegations, so I decided to do some digging and found out the vehemently denied all allegations. ( Source) So... they're going for the appeal eventually. Another interesting piece is the reaction of Ethihad airways and some of their sponsors. Ethihad airways has decided to take legal actions against the EPL. They claimed that they weren't consulted or reached out to during their investigation so as to get clarity. Although they weren't even mentioned in the charges—I don't think any sponsors were mentioned—they felt they were grouped amongst the bad wagons. A statement said: "Etihad Airways has reviewed the Premier League commission's published opinion relating to the disciplinary proceedings involving Manchester City, together with the Premier League's public communication of its findings.
"Etihad categorically rejects any finding, conclusion or implication that suggests the airline has ever been involved in improper commercial arrangements.
"The Premier League's public communication of the commission's findings, following a period of selective leaks and reporting, has further created damaging implications for Etihad despite the airline not being named in the redacted published findings.
"At no time did the Premier League reach out to or engage with Etihad in the process associated with the commission's opinion. Etihad was therefore never given the opportunity by the Premier League to be represented, to provide relevant information, or to ensure the accuracy and fairness of information relied upon in reaching conclusions that may now be interpreted as reflecting adversely on the airline.
"Etihad is deeply concerned by the way this matter has been communicated publicly. The lack of clarity and transparency, together with the selective disclosure of information, has created damaging implications for Etihad despite the airline not being named in the published decision. The Premier League must take responsibility for the consequences of the way in which these findings have been presented.
"Etihad is immensely proud of its longstanding relationship with Manchester City. The Etihad name has been proudly carried by the club and its stadium for many years, as part of a partnership that has connected us with millions of supporters around the world. Our commitment to Manchester City, its supporters and our shared partnership remains strong.
"We stand with the club, its supporters and our wider Etihad community as Manchester City challenges the commission's conclusions through the processes available to it.
"Etihad will seek the relevant legal counsel on the options and recourse available to protect its interests.
( Source) Other sponsor have refused to make any comment concerning the ongoing issue, but they all claim to stand by Mancity in the issue. Well, I wonder what evidence Mancity will come up with to clear their name, this saga is turning very interesting. I don't see why Etihad felt the obligation to be informed, they are just a sponsor at the end, are they? Well, this is the real situation based on what I found on Google: While Etihad Airways is not owned by Manchester City's parent company (the Abu Dhabi United Group), the airline is state-owned by Abu Dhabi and managed via an Abu Dhabi government fund chaired by the brother of Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour.Of course they are pissed off, it's always the same money that they are moving around, their money. I'm not sure this was a smart move. I guess they are trying to intimidate the PL Association at this point.

Truly, it isn't a smart move at all...it's like a family thing . I did some research on the matter and discovered that they're trying to clench to the fact that Etihad airways is government owned, and their sponsorship is from the government. Meanwhile, in 2015 during an investigation on Etihad, Etihad said that the government doesn't subsidies their sponsorship with Mancity. This statement directly contradicts their appeal. Sources told BBC Sport that City were expected to claim that key sponsorship deals were funded by the Abu Dhabi government, rather than the club's owners, as part of an appeal.
However, City's defence may be undermined by statements that major sponsor Etihad Airways gave to the United States government in 2015.
In response to the US Department of Commerce, Transportation and State during an investigation into state-owned airlines, Etihad Airways said: "The assertion that the Abu Dhabi government paid for Etihad's sponsorship of English Premier League football club Manchester City is false. In 2011, Etihad and Manchester City entered into a 10-year sponsorship agreement, which included naming rights for Manchester City's stadium. Etihad funded this sponsorship from its own liquidity."
Etihad Airways later stated: "We are and have always been clear that we do not receive any subsidies from the Abu Dhabi government.
( Source) There is also a report to fine Mancity for not properly filing their tax due to the sham contract arrangement. The letter follows a report from the Tax Policy Associates, external which claims City failed to pay as much as £12m in unpaid tax because of a "sham" contract with former manager Roberto Mancini.
In addition to unpaid income tax and National Insurance, the report claims City could face a penalty charge that would take their liabilities to £24m.
( Source) This is getting wild and very serious. Before now, I was optioning for a verdict that'll keep them in the premier league; but right now, I would love to see them face an extreme verdict for real, their fowl play is just too much.

I’m sure you haven’t read the thread at all and have only a superficial understanding of the issue, but your comment is quite amusing - I have to admit that. Especially the part about "forgiving" and "unnecessary tension" This sounds like the typical behavior of a scammer who's finally been caught, but is now suggesting "not making a big deal out of it," "what’s done is done, a lot of time has passed" and other ridiculous "everyone has a skeleton in the closet" statements. The situation has actually escalated now, since it’s clear City is guilty, yet those moronic sheikhs - instead of trying to smooth things over, are attempting to pressure the League at a state level. I honestly don't know what I want more now: for the English to show some backbone and ruthlessly kick those bastards out, or for them to sell out for money all over again.

If I remember correctly, Chelsea received only one ban for violations related to underage player registration in 2019 - plus some relatively small fines. Correct me if I'm wrong. Of course, I mean actual bans, not suspended ones. I agree these cases aren't identical, but both involve clubs that gained a serious advantage by breaking the rules. And in my opinion, Chelsea got off lightly. Compare that punishment to Juventus's.

I have been following this thread from the beginning and have made several comments on the issue, first i was of the opinion that the judgement might not be what most fans expect, considering the ranking of Man city in modern day football, given them a punishment that will probably relegate them to a lower division might create a lot of tension in England as a whole, such an issue if not properly handled might create a lot of issues in the football community, football has gone beyond what most fans think, the money involved is making the organizers to be very careful with their decisions. Secondly am of the opinion that any decision they want to take regarding this Man city case should be done fast, the reason is the more they allow it to linger is the more Man city too will be finding ways to escape or probably bribe their way through, if you read the current news on this subject you will see that the UAE have threatened to pull investment from the UK over the matter, just imagine how much the UK will lose if the threat comes to reality, do you think that UK will want to risk it? so you see the more the case lingers is the more newer issues arise that might have a significant ripple effect on everyone.

This is not true, whichever decision taken on this Manchester city case, there must be a different opinion from various football communities but the I so much think that a greater population of the football community will stand for fairness and justice, so why waste more time before pulling the trigger? The law will not change because it's Manchester city and if it does change, then the fans will witness such obvious corruption.
Everyone wishes that this verdict comes as soon as possible but it's not as simple as you think. Every doubt must be clarified and city given their right to appeal the judgement. So yeah, it may linger but unless proven otherwise, the sentence will follow. It's open for debate and Manchester city has already appealed to the premier League claiming not guilty. If the UAE has more influence on the decision, it may only be not striping them of their leagues but I don't think they will escape relegation and perhaps transfer ban.

Okay, I just found your comment so strange that I thought you weren't aware of the matter at all. As for an entire foreign state (!) threatening the League with a review of its investments - that is precisely where the problem lies: such blackmail might work, but does everyone really want to live in a world where vast sums of money allow you to break any law? There are various possibilities here, by the way. Theoretically, the League is an association of independent clubs. Under the right of association, even if they were somehow prevented from punishing City, they could form a new league without City. It is a far-fetched scenario, but it is possible. City can demand a spot in the Premier League through bought-off courts all they want, but no one can force other clubs to play in the Premier League rather than in a new league.

Well, you're right. The actual ban is one but the suspended ones can not be overlooked either. The fact that Chelsea appealed and got the ban suspended doesn't make it less punishment. They were fined at least, so basically they got punished either way. My only problem with your earlier statement is saying Chelsea got away with it. Yes Juventus got points deduction but Chelsea have spent more than €10m as well and investigations are still ongoing. So my point is Chelsea have gotten the punishment they deserve and it not fair to say they get away with it.

You are talking fact. Football is now about business and politics, it has really evolved and there is no way you can strip or relegate one of your big team that pulls in revenue and foreign investment, trophies and many more. Even the higher up , like politicians and Entrepreneurs who benefits from Manchester City and owners won't allow them to face severe punishment. Now that UAE is alos threatening to pull their investment, the UK government will step in to stop that. Like I said before football is about profit and politics and fans usually don have a say anymore. The punishment Manchester City might receive if their appeal fails is 20-30 points deduction after this season end and probably £50m fine.

I will tell you again that stripping them of their titles is an unreasonable punishment. Do you people even realise that in the time frame of the charges, Man City were dominant? From 2009-2018, they won only 3 EPL trophies. So the domination of the league came years after these charges. It doesn't matter whether they won a lot or a little: they cheated in order to be able to spend more money, that means buying better players in order to win more matches/trophies. It was basically like a shortcut. Otherwise, to achieve those same results, it may have taken them 10 more years, or maybe 15 or 20, who knows? The other clubs were following the rules, the weren't. So I really don't understand why, in your opinion, stripping City of their titles is an unreasonable punishment. They cheated. I'm going to quote myself because I just read this article: Every signing Man City made in the nine years they cheated. Before I said that, as a Juventus fan, this situation didn't really touch me personally. Well, now it does because I see all these players listed: - David Silva
- Aleksandar Kolarov
- Sergio Aguero
- Matija Nastasic
- Stevan Jovetic
And I remembered that Juventus were trying to purchase those players but then they ultimately failed because City offered both the clubs and the players huge amount of money (for the time of course) so Juventus had no chance because they had to follow the FFP rules. So basically the way City cheated also impacted teams playing in other leagues who were following the strict UEFA rules.

If you haven’t seen or heard about it, which I doubt given how active you guys are on this so called 115 or should I say 114 charges now, here is the link to his tweet. https://x.com/ruipinto_fl/status/2106081951744483408 Hahaha You sound like a Manchester City fan, but I’m not surprised that a Manchester City fan is talking this way, because most of their fans are mostly Barcelona fans so I’m not surprised, I don’t see a reason why a fan should be supporting a team that have cheated their way to the top, I’m not going to emphasize on whoever that leaked information through email, I’m mostly going to talk about Manchester City being found guilty of all the crimes they’ve been accused of, a terrible situation this club find themselves, “Sham deals” I was expecting every Manchester City fan to be ashamed of their club for hiding behind their lies and deceit for so many years, every trophy Manchester City have won is a total disgrace for cheating, the trophy won by Guardiola will be forever remembered as a trophy won by deceit and cheat, as a fan I wouldn’t be happy supporting a club as Manchester City that is full of shit, they’ve already been found guilty of 114 charges, I’m wondering why they’re given the opportunity to appeal, the Premier League should’ve just relegated them immediately, kick Manchester City out of the Premier League, I don’t want to see those scum of a cheat in the Premier League anymore, Manchester City success in the last decades have been with all lies and corruption, we the Red Cartels like you called us doesn’t expect Manchester City to be in the Premier League next season. Manchester City should be made to pay severely for their Sins, no forgiveness from the Red Cartel. Manchester City spending in the last decade from 2009-2018 would always be questionable because I don’t understand how they were able to spend so much money in the transfer window, when they’ve not been winning big trophies or selling big players then, instead they always buy players by inflating their revenue by “sham” commercial deals and disguised owners funding. While the Red Cartel have been following and keeping the rules, committing this crimes have affected the progress of other clubs like the Red Cartel, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal, we can’t forgive Manchester City for this huge crime, the only way Premier League can please us the Red Cartel is by Relegating Manchester City, so their fans can watch them in the Championship or EFL.

I found a very interesting infographic, recommend that everyone take a close look at it. The scale of the cheating (left side, red) is staggering - revenues were inflated manifold. But we’ve already seen all this in other news reports. I suggest you just think about it - could it be that this obvious trend line suddenly broke in 2018 and everything was fair from then on? So, in 2017, legitimate income amounted to 97 million, whereas in 2018 it was 227 million, and it just kept growing after that? Can anyone believe something like that? Personally, I can't. And it seems to me that anyone who has looked into the matter would agree, I am convinced that City should be stripped of all their titles and relegated to amateur football - this club hasn't operated honestly for a single year and has caused (and continues to cause) harm to everyone.
