Underdeveloped countries will find it more and more tougher to develop their economies for now ever since Donald Trump got elected into the white house, with Donald Trump massive tariffs implemented on almost every countries around the world, a lot of factories in underdeveloped countries are surely struggling to survive as their products are getting much less orders from their America business partners, and also with the ongoing Iran war started by Donald Trump, oil prices around the world are skyrocketing and poverty in underdeveloped countries are surely going to worsens if things does not turn around soon.

Know those nations lead by leaders with vision and prosperous dreams will ever maintain same poverty level as mentioned above.  The most important factor responsible for under development is bad leadership system,  when a country's leadership structure is corrupt it will be very difficult to achieve success but it there exists leaders with dreams and vision success is the easiest they could talk about.
Before now Burkina Faso was among the nations facing under development greatly but since Abraham took over power they have experienced rapid transformation which am sure they will do more in time to come

Poor dedication and lack of integrity among government officials tends to bring about the down fall of an area. On the other hand, a quick economic change can be achieved with consistent implementation of governance changes. Leadership geared towards shared prosperity has been shown to have the potential to turn backwardness into spring forward providing new hope to all the layers of society.

One of the major issues that promotes and projects corruption amongst leaders of third world countries is the concept of building generational wealth so they can live some place else, them and their families no matter the condition of where they came from. They just don’t care and this pushes them to do a lot of human degrading shit without caring a thing in the world. If they can actually come to understanding that developing the state is a win-win on all objectives, it would help a great deal and people wouldn’t care much on what they do after that.

All this is because of the greedy mindset of criminals that calls themselves leaders, how can you be a leader while your citizens keeps dying because of insecurity,  poverty and hardship when there are alot of finance generating resources in the country.
It's very difficult for this wicked leaders to come to understanding and choose transparency over self wealth, all needed to overcome underdevelopment is that same military exercise that happened in Ghana 1979 where a military exercise took the lifes of all corrupt leaders all for the betterment of there nation

People has stood on their feet and some are still standing on their feet demanding good governance but that still hasn't solved anything, some countries has gone extreme to demand such good governance that they physically overthrew a government to give way to the instalment of another government.
I think the biggest power of any government is its security squad and they too are citizens of the country experiencing the same bad government so if any stand up should work they need to get involved.
There are countries which citizens has overpowered government security squad and overthrew bad government, so I still believe people can still overthrow a bad government regardless of its security squad if they are ready for change. But what I noticed that's stopping people not overthrowing bad government mostly in African countries is because of tribal politics. Tribal politics divides the voice and unity of citizens, making it difficult for the citizens to have one voice and demand for good governance, and when the government isn't ready to listen to them they will have no choice than to come together and form an army that will overthrow a bad government and install leaders that can give them what they were demanding for.

I'll agree with everything you've said cause I can relate with them. My country is blessed with vast resources that would've kept us ranking among the best and competing with big global economies but our biggest problem is bad governance and corruption, it has eaten so deep into the government and gradually affecting more citizens including the rich and middle class.

A corrupt government would never want development or make them economy good, they use poverty to mess with the mind of citizens so they can easily control and stop them from fighting against corruption. Sometimes I picture my country without leaders, it would be a great nation.

I have a question! I think it’s relevant here!
And what do we mean by "underdeveloped countries"?
Are we talking about backward laws, technology, the banking sector, the population’s way of life, ...? I think it’s very important to clarify what we’re talking about! I’ve simply seen a lot of countries, and I can say-there’s high-tech Japan, and there’s very charming Georgia.
There’s the U.S., the global hub of finance and technology, and there’s the cozy Czech Republic, calm and unhurried, yet it’s home to many high-tech startups! I hope you understand the point I’m making.

Underdeveloped countries are characterized by many signs ranging from Economic, political, technological, infrastructural and Agricultural backwardness and many more obvious signs. These countries are known with extreme corruption reports and political and obvious election malpractices. Some of these countries are rich with resources but they have corrupt leaders who hoard the resources. These countries have high poverty rate and less industrialization rate. The system is usually corrupt and failure. They see normal life as luxury because to afford a normal life is not for a greater population.

Let me just say that undeveloped countries and under developed countries are the opposite of what the developed countries are. No access to basic amenities and primary healthcare, nothing is working and so many countless signs.

Poverty truly exists in underdeveloped countries, even though they are not, in fact, poor countries. They possess abundant resources, but a highly corrupt government makes them underdeveloped and hinders progress and development. I truly wonder how they (the government and officials) in these countries can be so greedy and greedy that they are willing to create a system that tortures and impoverishes their own people. These are truly cruel and inhumane actions and practices.

Nothing can be done, because they simply refuse to accept criticism and suggestions from their own people, due to their utter greed and avarice. Therefore, a country's economy is completely destroyed when it is led by corrupt leaders, government, and officials. They have no plans to develop the nation, they only plan to enrich themselves.

Talking about underdeveloped countries we are talking of African and some Asian countries,  because I think that's where we have most of underdeveloped countries.  I will be talking more about African countries and their government,  because I really don't know much about Asian countries.
Sometime I really wonder if some African countries are really poor, but I have come to the realization that they are not poor, but their government and leaders makes them poor and that why the people are suffering. Most African countries have a lot of natural resources that even the European countries does not have,  but lack of good government and leaders had kept these countries in abject poverty. African government are so corrupt that they don't care about the people or to do anything to develop the countries,  but rather they are more concerned in enriching themselves and that has been the problem of African countries for a very long time. These has also been the reason why the continent is still underdeveloped and I really don't see that changing anytime soon, because this same old leaders keeps recycling themselves in power.

Most times corruption doesn't start with the politicians in some cases citizens are greedy and extremely demanding. If the citizens are one minded and the are not easily bought over it will be difficult for politicians to manipulate or embezzle funds. Every developed country we admire were once underdeveloped and the progress they have recorded so far is a collective effort of both politicians and citizens. The western powers has nothing to do with the development of underdeveloped countries it is solely the responsibility of the citizens and indigenes of that country to effect the change they want.

If underdeveloped countries can work together with anti-USA countries like China and Russia, who are America's rivals, and do international trade with them, they can move forward. As long as the world cannot get out of dollar currency trade, underdeveloped countries will not be able to develop. Countries like Russia and China are much more advanced technologically and economically, that is why they can compete with the USA. But still many developed countries in the world are in favor of the USA. Most of the countries in Europe are controlled by the USA. That is why the other countries are becoming more and more powerful day by day, relying on the countries that are not developed.

Government officials can play the most important role in the development of a country. A high-ranking bureaucrat carries more power than a political leader.

Literally, a bureaucrat has to follow the orders of a political leader. Despite this, the bureaucrat knows the strategies that are needed to run a country because a political party can change but a government official does not change very easily. They can be promoted from one ministry to another but in reality they are very powerful.

If this elite community of the government wants to build a corruption-free country, they can do it, but they have high aspirations and earn a lot of money. They are responsible for creating poverty in a country due to corruption and greed. If a country wants to develop, those government officials must be honest and sincere.

I think the answer to your question is very simple) It is from the opposite. The list of developed countries is quite easy to define, and it is not too large. So, underdeveloped countries are all those that are not included there. Including your and my country) But as it was correctly pointed out here, there are so many criteria for evaluating countries, and they are so different for everyone, that you cannot just fit everyone into one system. After all, you and I are not leaving Ukraine for the USA, for example, meaning there are also reasons for that (I am not talking about the inability to leave, but specifically about the positive reasons to stay in our country, which are becoming fewer and fewer, of course, but nevertheless, they exist).

There is actually a high level of poverty, and corruption in an underdeveloped countries, and in such a country even though their is law, and order it doesn't really make these corrupt leaders behave well or lead well.
When a country is underdeveloped the leaders interest is to convert the money of the country to their own personal wealth. These situation can create negative impact on the citizens because it can likely lead to high rate of corrupt among citizens.
Bad leadership is what melts an economy, and make people suffer even with several mineral resources, and most times countries like this experience series of demonstration against the government because of the hardship the citizens passes through.

They overthrown bad government and I don't think I have seen progress in the country since that happened. You know what's so bad about Africa military coup? It doesn't brings any development, the Nigeria Military is one of the disastrous time our parents experienced, I was a young kid then but with the narrations our parents gave, it was worse than the corrupt regimes of the zoning in the region of the country and till now, there is no rapid development in the country.

Look at the neighborhood countries, Mali had two coups under the same country, the same military, it was obvious about seize of power and who is going to take control of the people and it was never about the people. The Niger did the same and there was nothing progressive till now. Not to mentioned about the western resources they don't get again. Once a country experience a coup, all other benefits from west stop immediately. Even though we dislike their ways, they need western allies for development.

Poverty is seen all around the world. In underdeveloped countries it will be visible and in developed countries it will be hidden. As stated corruption is a major issue and now things were taking a change as people are slowly getting educated. Whenever there is a discussion about poverty, Africa will be discussed. This is all because of the government that have been corrupt and the officials who wants to make themselves rich. Initially it was the colonial rule where they western countries invaded and took away the resources through agreement. Now with the young generation into politics changes were happening and one of which I've seen is the Burkina Faso President making a major change within the country.

It's hard to discuss without talking about individual countries because each one has its own unique set of circumstances and influences. Some countries in Africa do have lots of resources but can be trapped by tribalism, external countries trying to influence their internal policy, the elite political class who make grand claims to get into power but get corrupted along the way or just sheer bad management. There are countries in Asia which suffer from things like a overpopulation, like Bangladesh, that don't really have enough resources to sustain such a large and growing population - there are limited resources for extraction and they can even face natural disasters like flooding more commonly than other nations.

In order for undeveloped countries to become first-world countries, they need to move away from the system of "peripheral capitalism" (there is even a book with that name, but I don't remember the author). To do this, it is necessary for some developed countries to invest money in economic development (as the United States invested in South Korea or in the reconstruction of post-war Japan). And the prerequisite is that there must be other peripheral countries somewhere in the world.

In other words, the first world cannot exist without the third. A world in which all countries are equally rich and prosperous is utopia. The prosperity of some comes at the expense of the suffering of others.  Just as good does not exist without evil, so rich countries cannot exist without poor ones. So poor countries are likely to remain poor, corrupt, and undeveloped forever. Moreover, a change of government as a result of a coup will not help. The new government will immediately turn into the same corrupt officials as the ones they overthrew.

Thanks, Spasimbo, for the great answer!
I’m ready to discuss this because it’s a pretty important question.
For example, I’d say that, compared to the U.S., or, let’s say, China, about 95% of the world’s countries are economically underdeveloped. What do you think? Or is there some kind of threshold or metric by which we can determine economic underdevelopment? I’d base this on average income and the purchasing power of the average income. Let me say right away - I don’t want to offend anyone, these are just examples from my personal life and my travels around the world.
Daily living costs for me in different countries: from the most expensive to the cheapest, with descriptions of the extremes
Switzerland - it’s hard to find high-quality, affordable food,  everything is very expensive
Japan
U.S.
Germany
Singapore
... there are still many countries I may not have included...
Cyprus
Czech Republic
Estonia
Thailand
Sri Lanka
Egypt
Montenegro
Georgia - insanely delicious and affordable food, inexpensive yet high-quality apartments, and great service.

But take, for example, some African countries and one country in South America where I’ve been - I didn’t even include them on the list because they don’t fit anywhere here: it’s expensive for minimal comfort, and in reality there’s no comfort at all,  it’s unsafe,  there’s rampant corruption, …

Corruption. Yes, that’s a complex issue. And we have to admit, it’s EVERYWHERE! But in some places, it takes the form of “lobbying” that doesn’t disrupt other people’s lives, while in others, it’s downright rampant, uncontrolled corruption.

Let’s look at it this way (I’d like to ask everyone in advance to take this simply as a way to gather information, not as an attempt to offend anyone - especially since I know both countries and like them both Smiley ): for example, Cyprus or Montenegro - how would you describe them? Taking into account the economy, for instance, and other indicators?
