Europe for me has slipped from a developed block to an undeveloped block due to a excess state involvement (50+ %).
 
Look out for politicians who have never worked, have some fancy university degree. Those employ brother, aunts, other sibling in government.
Germany with a green government had that situation. You recognize a government governing against their people by their need for protection.

You know the drill..... If you look into the underdeveloped countries, they don't have accurate data base system and it's not done because they don't have the means to make it work, they do but most likely they are doing that to make it look like they can't do it or they don't have what it can take to do it. The real purpose they left it that way is so they don't keep the records of bad things they do while in power, that's how corrupt government do their things.

Why the developed countries are so interesting is that they keep records and even if in 100 years to come, someone will have those records. You will not commit crime in a developed country and get away with it. There is no way except if they want to pardon you. I do see this presidential pardon that some people do get pardoned despite their crime, there society still looks good than the underdeveloped countries.

My country is an example of this the only problem we have is bad and corrupt government, this is a country enriched with different mineral resources including oil and gas and a fertilized land for agricultural usage but some group of persons are the ones enjoying all of it and keep the country underdeveloped. Our economy is bad high rate insecurities and also high cost of living and all these are the fault of the government because it doesn't affect them they continue to enriched them self and send there children out of the country to a better country where they will enjoy more of life.

Excuse me, but I’d like to clarify - do you have a hereditary monarchy? Or who elects the government, and how? If it’s a monarchy, then of course there won’t be any simple solutions; it’s difficult to dismantle a monarchical system. But if you hold elections, how do those in power come to occupy the positions of president and members of parliament year after year? Surely someone is voting for them, thereby delegating control over the country and the economy to them?

Both the government and the people of an underdeveloped country are responsible for keeping the country underdeveloped, especially the people of that country give the government an opportunity and the government becomes rich by exploiting the people. To know what rights you are entitled to in a state, you have to get an education. You can demand your rights when you realize that the state is depriving you. The government of many poor countries does not provide adequate education to its citizens. The government formulates such education policies that the guys do not become very intelligent. It adopts a knee-jerk policy and the students do not protest against the government. The government is not serious about job-oriented education because they want most of the citizens to remain poor because the poor community is easy to manage.

And what happens when the failure starts from the educational system who house a lot of corrupt leaders that sees their lecturing jobs as an avenue to extort from student and overtime, the agenda has been that student are willing to pay just to get the certification without the knowledge while the lecturers are ready to accept the payment and pass them? of what use is the schooling system to the betterment of that society?

To a large extent, the underdevelopment of every nation is first a failure on the part of the government and by extension, it gets to the failure on the part of the citizens who in most cases are at the mercy of the decisions that are made by the government. the schooling system and all the flaws that are in it can be easily corrected if the government are intentional about correcting it. a fail government affects all aspect of the society and whatever happens in other area is just reaction to these failures.

Not only school  it is almost all institutions that are led by corrupt leaders. But yes schools are the root of any society that's only nd real  hope of any society for changing. But unfortunately in under developed countries these institutions are also functioning under the influence of politics, they designed system that usually generate profit for them. Many political leaders are also headed these system.

Actually it is collaboration of few groups that they made such laws and regulations because of that people become dependent on the government for every step. The foolish public always waiting for the government policies instead of taking steps for the betterment of themselves Here you are right if government intention are in the favour of progress it would easy for it. Because as it is said that " where there is  will there is a way" . Government have always lot of options including reforms, subsidies and ideas even skilled workers for functioning. But they just come in power to make stronger themselves rather work for the development of society.

demanding is counterproductive and cost a lot of effort, better is to use the effort to educate yourself.

I do not know your country but mine is in disarray, we are been governed by heartless people, I don't think we have a country, Billions and Trillions are mentioned everyday in the media as yearly Budgets for the federal Government and states but in reality there is absolutely nothing to point hand at as the project they have executed with those funds.
When I remember how much oil and gas we have in my country and some other resources we have, I just conclude that may be my country is cursed.
The resources we have will developed my country and politicians will still have what they want but no they don't want the development because of their devilish minds, they rather invest in other countries than invests in ours, a country that are rich in oil and gas but without a state owned working refinery, what else can I say, maybe there is something the citizens needs to do.

I agree with you. You have to start personally first. At the beginning, you have to use yourself for the development of the country and society. You have to explain to your family how to behave morally and how to bring about change in society . And if you only rely on rights, it will not benefit others.  You should also understand what your responsibilities are. You should fulfill your responsibilities properly. And improving the quality of education is important for the development of a country and nation. In this case, it is not enough to pass from a reputed university, but you yourself have to be morally reputable. Being a good person is more important than textbook education. Because if an educated person becomes corrupt, he will not be of any use to the society. But if a daily wage worker, small businessman or small investor works for the society and his family, his influence will be of great use for the development of the country. It is not enough to just take your country as an example, you should take a good look at the governments of every underdeveloped and developing country in the world, they usually work against the people. Despite having natural resources such as agricultural resources, rivers, mountains, mineral resources, technology, etc., they can do anything just to stay in power of the government of the country. In this case, the people give the government the opportunity to abuse its power by electing it and if the people did not give this opportunity, then the bad government group could not have come to power. Every underdeveloped country has the same problem where after being elected by the people's votes, they come to power and exploit the people.
