Is it really possible to gamble only for fun?

Most of the rich gamblers play for fun and experience the thrill and excitement, or let's say the adrenaline rush that they will only experience from gambling. So its really possible to gamble only for fun.

However, on the other hand, average gamblers go for money making. Although they also find gambling as a source of entertainment and definitely enjoy it, but since money is the ultimate goal for most of those average gamblers, they don't settle on fun alone, they often take risk because its only in taking risk where they can experience winning big and winning more.

But anyone can just gamble for fun alone. It matters on the individual preferences and how their mindset deals with gambling.

Very possible that we are gambling only for fun because that is what is expected of us right from time, but many have shifted their expectation from having fun in gambling to other expectations that are not realizable, and this is why they cannot achieve having maximum gambling experience being entertainment to them because they don't see it as such, but rather something else.

Gambling is just entertainment, which is not true for most gamblers because many gamblers use gambling to earn money, while there are many gamblers who use gambling as entertainment. Maybe many people can say that gambling is entertainment verbally, but most people expect to earn money from gambling. No matter how much we say that we have accepted gambling as entertainment, but in our minds there is definitely a greed to earn money because if we lose, we suffer. If it was for entertainment, then we would not suffer, we would find joy in losing.

Yeah I agree with you. It’s mostly a fallacy when people claim they’re just gambling for fun. Deep down almost everyone is in it hoping to win big money, or get rich quick. Nobody wants to admit they’re chasing that thrill for profit or the money they will get. When the big wins don’t come, they switch the story to “it’s just entertainment” to feel better about the losses they take. Because who the hell is happy losing money for fun. It’s a game of luck at the end of the day, and the real truth is most people are there for the money, not the experience.

Why gamble for fun if when you lose you'd get upset? Honestly, those who say they gamble for fun are those who won't beat themselves up or lose sleep if they don't make profit. Most people intension at first is to gamble for fun, but only few get consistent with that goal.
When something has to do with money people tend to neglect other emotions that follows and they get centred only on money. This is a natural urge and only few people get to resist it.
The mind will always try to be productive by making money or other things of value, but there has to be restrictions on what it wants to capitalise on to make money, and Gambling is one of them.

Why here it can also be that a person will gamble for fun and at the same time want to win. Of course everyone wants to win and winning means winning money. There is nothing wrong here. It’s true the there are a few people who gamble for entertainment purposes, but the ones who gamble for profits are way more. The more the number of gamblers increases the more the number of those gambling for the sake of profit increases as well and this is because gambling platforms themselves don’t promote gambling as a means of entertainment, they position it as a way to make money by making predictions. As a beginner it is very easy to start gambling for fun but the problem here is the ability to maintain it, most people get distracted by greed and the need to chase losses, this makes them turn from gambling for fun to becoming addicted gamblers. Regarding this topic, I think we all have different opinions. I believe even those who say they are just playing for fun still want to win. As a gambler, once you pick a side, click the button, or place a bet on a match, you want the result to be green. So in a way, you're still aiming for profit.

Maybe they say that because they don't chase losses, the amount they're betting is nothing to them, or even if they lose, they don't feel that bad about it. But at the end of the day, every gambler wants to win. Gamblers only have one goal once they decide to place a bet, and that is to have a winning result, regardless of whether they can afford to lose the amount or not.

Yes. It is absolutely possible to gamble for the sake of fun and entertainment, it is easier to do so if we use money which we are ready to let go and lose to the edge of the house and our own bad luck.

Honestly there is nothing like gambling for fun, all are just a cooked up story by Gamblers to deceive people into believing that gambling is for fun. I have been gambling for some time now and I know how much I have been losing trying to chase loses or trying to win. Sometimes I get dippresed while sometimes I become even more sad but what else can I do knowing that it completely rely on luck to win. If gambling where to be fun people will not get addicted. You can only get addicted into what money is involved.
