they use slogans, tables, pictures to compare projects with each other. Or people invented altcoins without knowing about bitcoin? They coppied idea of cryptocurrency.
As well there are a lot of coins with Bitcoin at start, like bitcoin gold bitcoin silver bitcoin II bitcoin III and many others, all of them are feeling good on this forum.
Its not phishing or malware, and I explained why. We are not pretending to be ethereum.org, different name, different ticker. Just check the facts before making accusations based on stereotypes. Someone can think bitcointalk is a phishing attempt because of something, but will it make it dangerous?
Responding to Albon questions:
How does that make sense? Why choose a name that can easily make users believe it is related to the official Ethereum project?
Its clear on website that this project is not Ethereum, the name and the ticker are different. As I said there are a lot of projects with II, 2 in the name on bitcointalk and PoW ecosystem. As I also said we are not convicing people that ETH1 is ETH.
My point was not that you ask users for their Seed Phrase. It was because the project requested users to connect their wallets to an RPC controlled by you. How can users verify that this RPC is safe? Has it been audited? Is the code open source? Why should users trust an RPC operated by you across multiple new domains using the Ethereum name?
This is community driven project, not VC backed, so there are no audits yet. But we have open source, you can just click on github on the website navbar and check it. Users can do own research if they want to trust it or not, it doesnt mean that I we have issues, Ethereum I is fully transparent. Multiple domains already explained, we have it because of rebranding.
Your recommendation that users should use an empty wallet is a sign that you are aware that you recognize there may be a risk involved. If you truly trust your RPC security, why advise users to take this precaution? Why not provide any evidence proving the safety of your network instead of leaving users to take the risk themselves?
I recommend to stay safe whatever is it, there are a big plenty of projects from bitcointalk, with custom RPC. As I said we have a source code, so users can check it of course. But for general user it might be easier to do a new wallet if they worry about security.
As well we have a webwallet, so nothing to be connected, nothing to be entered.
Your project is less than two months old, and all here know that real blockchain projects usually have a history, audits, public source code, and active users. Your project is still new, uses the Ethereum name in a way that can confuse users, and has not shown the same level of transparency.
Because our vision is in fair launch, on bitcointalk and so on from the start. As well it is community-driven project.
I think other questions are responded above too. Thanks for attention!
