France or Argentina, who wins the World cup 2026?

I was surprised to see that recently the favored Frances were not as smooth as I imagined, they were very dominant in this year's World Cup, but when they faced Spain they did not look so convincing, to be honest I was very confident with France winning this match but all of that was very wrong, most football observers must have predicted this match wrongly

Many believed that France could easily dominate and win the title, as they were the heavy favorites coming into the tournament. However, after seeing their match against Paraguay, where the defenders successfully marked France's midfield and Kylian Mbappé, it was clear they struggled to find momentum and that could happen again. The same pattern emerged in the first half against Senegal. Spain, known for their suffocating possession game, was able to stifle their opponents in the same manner. My only concern was whether Spain would be able to break free and score, which they ultimately did.

All four teams really deserve to be in the semifinals. Even though there was some controversy, it was declared valid. The fact is that France, Argentina, Spain, and England are the countries ranked from 1 to 4. Predicting both is tough, they really deserve to be in the semifinals. But if I had to choose, I’d lean towards France and Argentina meeting in the final. Of course, this repeats the 2022 match moment that Argentina won. I had almost the same prediction as yours, the only difference was that I didn't or wasn't expecting France and Argentina back on the pitch again in the finals, I was expecting France and England, then France will beat England to become the world Cup champions for this year, but unfortunately now, France couldn't stand Spain yesterday, Spain easily defeated France by two goals to no retaliation from France, eliminating France from the world Cup in the semi finals..

Quite unfortunately for France and their supporters, and we can now say good luck to Spain and either Argentina or England depending on wins the semis between this two..

Argentina completely dominated the match during the initial 80 minutes and were leading with a margin of 2-0. Then Kylian Mbappé scored two goals within a duration of 1 minute and managed to equalize. Yesterday also, Spain was leading by 2-0 by the 80th minute. The only difference was that there was no magic from Mbappé this time and the match ended with the regular 90 minutes + injury time.

It was really a pity for the France team you know, coming this far just to be tossed out of the competition in that manner. And just like in Qatar, I believe a lot of fans were also expecting some magic from Mbappe. I was not very happy with yesterday as match, but I have to accept the fact because the did has been done. With the title of this thread is only Argentina that is left, France was eliminated by Spain which many of football fans were surprised because they did not believe that Spain will be able to eliminate France which I was also one of them but it has happened. Spain are waiting for their opponent between Argentina and England, while France are also waiting for either Argentina or England to play their third place.

Yesterday result between France vs Spain was the major reason why i said i don't want to talk much from the first day i contributed to this thread when the OP created it and which i can remember i said if France eventually qualify for final that they will definitely win Argentina but as will may see things now, France is out of the line of playing the final and Spain will be waiting for any teams that will win today between England and Argentina, it was a crucial wining by Spain team and so many people were expecting France to win Spain but Spain was victorious.

Spain won because of their strong defense and  decent match strategy. Honestly, watching spain's performance, I felt like I  was watching the gameplay of prime Barca. France's squad is very strong. They did not spare any effort to win the match. But they could not create any such opportunities. Although  they were able to attack several times, every attack failed because of Spain's  goalkeeper. France was probably not ready for such gameplay and  strategy of Spain.

Totally support your prediction. People come with same sentiment when they believe France would be murdering Spain, but the opposite thing happened. So i have to pick Argentina to win this. At this point I'm afraid of what will be the outcome of England and Argentina. From the beginning, I was very convince that there is no way France will let Spain to beat them but the way those guys comfortably win France, the confidence is nothing near what I have seen in all of the games they played, they buried Mbape, Olise wasn't contributing much and Dembele was not moving fast, they couldn't give all they have in the match like Spain honestly.

The only person we are all looking up to right now in Argentina is Messi, he is the only person doing all the work of the team but I'm sure that England will want to block him, but we all know who that guy is, he knows how to play his game and know how to move his games. I don't think there is any defenders that can stop him and if they do, they might not see Alvarez coming from another angle, I still believe Argentina can win but I'm afraid of why will be.

My reply on this thread earlier was that it was to early to pick point and center the final to just France and Argentina and ignoring or let me say not giving regards to the other two teams (Spain and England) in the semi final. I believe it’s clear now and we are all back to default settings following France elimination by the Spanish side.
It is looking entirely different from what we all thought and i wouldn’t be surprised at all to see England send Argentina home later tonight. Even the book makers considers England to be the favorite, but that aside, I think the World Cup is just trying to write a different script from what we all thought. Until it is over i will not say otherwise but i still think your prediction or guessing is wrong because Argentina is likely to qualify for finals, i have been watching England for some of their games now and their play was not that serious or impressing and if not for Norway's loopholes and mistakes England would not have been here in the first place and i do not agree that England can defeat Spain if actually they will qualify for finals.

It's because France is the favorite, and that could be the reason why most of us say that France will go and win and moved to the finals. But Spain has other plans, and not just to score a goal, but win by 2 points and not allowing France.

I saw the match and i also saw the captain go to the referee, but you could tell he was just trying.
