Did you really believe that Spain could win Argentina?

I enjoyed the performance of Spain from the onset of the tournament, and their game in the semifinals against France was incredible. It was a tough game for France, and France is considered to be among the strong teams in the World Cup. After Spain won the semifinal, I knew that whatever team they would meet in the final would be tough. World Cup finals are always challenging, and you can't predict who the winner will be, but I was still very convinced it was possible for Spain to win against Argentina. I saw how Spain dominated the game right from the beginning, and with their energy, I knew they had a good chance to win.

Even though Spain dominated the match from the onset, we know that the Argentines didn't let Lamal play much, and the Spaniards did same to Messi. The Spanish side has proved they are the midfield champions and they didn't wait for the defenders to do much work because they kept the play right in the middle and we know how that locked the game up mostly when the Argentines got a red card.

I just believed that who ever scored first has won the game, but what I didn't know was that the Spanish team would actually be the ones to do that, you know because the Argentina team is good with scoring late, so i thought they would be the ones to score the only goal. Funny they didn't.

Those who said they had 99% confidence that Spain or Argentina would win, why didn't they backup their believe with a staked amount? The final match between Argentina vs Spain was a hard prediction, nobody expected Argentina to be less of what they were in the final, I knew Spain was going to be a headache, but Argentina truly underperformed and i never sensed something like that to happen.

This is a final, unexpected are going to happen, Argentina messed up and it was quite obvious before the winning goal that Spain should win, It took long for Spain to secure the win, after having the whole possession in the match.

I just believe any side can win either Spain or Argentina but what I saw when the match was going on was what i never believed i wasn't expecting Spain to play Argentina so much ball all the minutes the ball was just with Spain, Spain had all their players all over the pitch. I also had the same belief that the match will end in the favor of the Spain as against the Argentina due to all the enough trust bestowed upon him by the person in question. Are you being serious? Is Argentina better than Spain in any way ? Spain had the best team and have been really incredible all through the tournament no team in the world cup and I repeat that no team is more capable of winning the world cup than Spain is except we're talking about France. If not that Argentina took a very easy part to the finals, it's certain that they might not get to the finals. If they faced the kind of tough teams that Spain faced, it's almost certain that we might be seeing a totally different kind of finals. That's the reason why they couldn't play against Spain in the finals because Spain is a better team all round.

Spain played with the mindset of winning this match in full name but Argentina wanted to play it very safe with penalties and if the match had gone to penalties, Argentina would have won because they have Martinez in the post. Nonetheless it was a good match up and the better team won, I wanted Argentina to win but I'm happy with Spain's victory

Still doesn't matter, it's something that will lead to another and yet people will just still talk about how they feel, my point is games are games for a reason, the winner can't be predicted just like that, luck still have factor here is even the person is a professional.

The chance ending the game in penalty never happened and if this was what Argentina expected they have already lost the match before they started it, but anyways.

I don't expect Argentina to win just like that, and not even spain, it's why I don't even bother to place a bet on this match, it's very hard to predict but some people made it easy by saying Argentina will win, I guess they got their answers now.

Spain's performance forced Argentina to admit they were completely out of position in the match. I don't know what's the fuss about, oddmakers make sure to give you 'proper' odds and Spain was obvious favorite; I did bet on Argentina because they had better odds and I shoot my shot because they must be in final for a reason (I don't understand football much) and yes they lost but it's not like they were obliterated mercilessly (looking at scorecard, not by understanding of the game) and I was fine with the outcome as any sane bettor should be (I am sorry to praise meself).

How is Spain winning unbelievable? They were the favorites,,, and how was Extra Time also? 0-0 and draw were also quite predicted by bookies.

But to answer your question yes Argentina messed up my betslips but honestly,,, they were already gone because the true messers were France who messed us up 2 times in semifinals and in 3rd placed game   And Argentina brought me a lot of good slips already so this final was not really a killer.

Of course, according to the bookmakers, Spain were the favorites. But Argentina also had a lot of supporters because they won the last World Cup, so for their fans, it was hard to believe that Spain could beat them. But it happened. Spain played well, so they deserved the championship.

I also think it is really difficult to win back-to-back championships, so Argentina’s loss was not that surprising.

This is something unbelievable that when you so much have believe on something or even so much trust a particular Team win they often failed people. Realistically I didn't even believe that Spain could win Argentina 1-0 where even most of my friends where fans of Argentina including me because I have that trust on Argentina.
To my latest surprise, Spain took over by 1 and that is what its ended with.

This is to show that you shouldn't rely and put more trust on a particular team. I think, this is a great lesson we all have to learn.

There's one big thing we normally forget, which is "Unpredictable." Football will always remain the same, because that's exactly what makes it look fun and entertainment. Although, I think it's a normal because Argentina made an incredible effort to beat England in the semifinal. At first I doubted them ( Spain) but as the first half proceed further, I noticed their unmatched energy and how they were able to posses the entire game with a unique kind of confidence that I can not explain. I won’t lie, I was also feeling the same thing too, and I believe majority thought so too, not because Spain wasn’t a formidable opponent, but because high hopes were on Argentina, because from the beginning of the competition, they had relentlessly fought and proven to be the best team in the tournament, so it was only logical that people would expect them to win, and no one really saw this loss coming. Do you remember how Argentina became champions? Several games were decided simply by penalties, and that's without even mentioning the refereeing scandals and favoritism. Argentina weren't exactly strong champions, and that was amply confirmed at this World Cup – they had the easiest path to the semi-finals, but they were left hanging by a thread in many games. Once serious opponents began to emerge, both Argentina and Messi's success completely disappeared. At first I was sorry that Tuchel threw away a game that England should have won 100%, but now I’m even glad because it led to such a one-sided final and shame.
