it seems my fault is the low amount of merits I've collected. I mainly post in the Gambling and Gambling Discussion sections. It's rare for anyone to receive any merits there. Now ask yourself why it's rare to receive Merit on those boards. Could it be most posts aren't worth reading? This is your chance to prove you're not just posting to get paid I'm in a Kikabet campaign, where the requirement is to write at least 10 posts in the Gambling or Gambling Discussion sections. I often write over 20 a week. If I were posting in these sections just to get paid, I'd probably write the bare minimum. I post in them because I enjoy these topics. I admit, it intensified during the World Cup, but there are discussions where people discuss about that - simple as that. Why is it rare to get Merit there? I don't know, I didn't know I had to chase for Merits. If it's mandatory, I'll start posting on boards where it's more possible. But is that the point of this?

You wouldn't get paid, if you made only 10 posts. According to Kikabet signature campaign rules, participants are required to make a minimum of 20 posts to get paid, and at least 10 of them must be in "Gambling" or "Gambling Discussion" boards. You made all your 20 posts in "Gambling" and "Gambling Discussion", because it was easier for you to post in those boards. Should we be grateful that you didn't spam the other boards?

I am also in a campaign that requires me to write 10 gambling posts a week, which is 40% of total eligible posts. I am also active in World Cup discussion thread during the World Cup season. But still, I do posts in other sections where I often get merits. If you get less than 10 merits in the last 120 days, that does not look good. I am sure the signature ban is not solely based on the merit earned in the last 120 days. nutildah probably check the post quality and he must check a couple of pages at least before he issues the ban. I don't know the criteria yet. But he said that he will be more transparent. You should do some improvement before you apply for a review the account again.

Do I am obligated somehow to posts in other sections and do I am obligated to chase Merits?

There is nothing wrong with that. You can continue posting in "Gambling" and "Gambling Discussion" boards and enjoy them. Is there anything preventing you from posting in those boards that I am unaware of?

I don't know if I should present the posts I consider substantive here, or ask about the ones that got me to sig ban?
If you think posting a "substantive" post will help, sure, please feel free. Its not any one particular post or posts that got you the sigban. You're a bit different case than the others so far, so let's explain. First, you should really take some time to compare your posts to those of this user: I am also in a campaign that requires me to write 10 gambling posts a week, which is 40% of total eligible posts. I am also active in World Cup discussion thread during the World Cup season. But still, I do posts in other sections where I often get merits.
To give you a hint, I don't mean writing style. You are both good writers. Do I am obligated somehow to posts in other sections and do I am obligated to chase Merits?
No, you are not obligated to do anything. You can continue posting wherever you want, about whatever you want. You shouldn't "chase merits" either. You should post here because you enjoy contributing. Believe it or not, people were doing that here before the merit system was even invented.

Alright, that is a fair request. Like I said in the PM, you seem like a nice guy, but your writing skills need a lot of improvement.
The goal is not to shame anybody but provide a learning experience so everybody can understand why certain posting habits may be considered "substandard." And if they disagree, this is the perfect place to do it.
Thank you so much, Sir, for taking the time to review my posts and pointing out these mistakes. I genuinely appreciate it. I would just like to humbly clarify one thing Post #1 was made before I had read the guidelines and before the review thread was introduced. Posts #2 and #3 were made afterwards. I understand the mistakes you pointed out and I agree with them, I really do need to work on my writing. Will try to fix my sentence structure, avoid repeating the same points and make my posts more useful instead of just adding words. Sir g Whenever you get some free time, it would mean a lot if you could take a look at my recent posts too (#2 and #3). I have genuinely been trying to improve and hoping you notice some difference. I just have one humble request Sir, please give me a chance. I know made a mistake and I'm take full responsibility for it and promise that this won't happen again. I understand that you had right for taking action and I fully respect your decision. I just want to ask for one chance please. I will learn from my mistakes keep improving my writing and make sure, I follow all the forum standards from now on. Thank you again for your time and for considering my request, Sir I just made a glance through the thread and I must say that I highly commend you on your efforts in trying to educate people on the proper use of English grammar on this forum. Which is actually nice. However, when it comes to @Farhan99 case, I think I have a perfect solution to help him in his challenge of the proper use of English grammar, punctuations and spelling. So I will like to suggest if @Farhan99 can download and install "Grammarly app" on his device from either Play Store or Apple Store, it will be of good assistance to helping him compose a better sentence. Thanks Thank you for your suggestion. English is not our basic language in my country so our writing style can sometimes be different and i may make grammar mistakes but I'm trying to improve my English step by step and I'll keep working on my writing. Thanks again for your encouragement.

The quality of posts is fine, the number of merits doesn't have influence. I also understand that the fact that my posts are mainly in the Gambling and Gambling Discussion sections doesn't bother you. So what's the reason I got a sig ban? Maybe instead of giving a hint, you could just explain it?

I would just like to humbly clarify one thing Post #1 was made before I had read the guidelines and before the review thread was introduced.
The decision isn't made by the quality of just 1 post, or 2 or 3 posts... Looking at the other two posts won't make a difference. If you really want to improve, you can start by attempting to write clearer, more concise posts -- without a signature. You should want people to be able to notice you're a better writer by the time the ban expires.
the number of merits doesn't have influence.
It does have influence. It means people value what you have to say (at least most of the time). I also understand that the fact that my posts are mainly in the Gambling and Gambling Discussion sections doesn't bother you.
No, it doesn't, but you're almost exclusively posting in threads where nobody really values what anybody is saying, because its all been said many, many times before. For lack of a better explanation, it appears most of the conversation you make is unnecessary. However, you are still free to make it.

It does have influence. It means people value what you have to say (at least most of the time). You might not know this, but in casual conversations about football, merit is rarely awarded. For me, this forum fulfills the role of discussing football and unites my passion for cryptocurrencies and gambling hobby. As I wrote earlier, to be able to chase merits, I'd have to find other sections where my knowledge would be useful, but I didn't know it was mandatory. Is it sigban's role to force me to do this? I also understand that the fact that my posts are mainly in the Gambling and Gambling Discussion sections doesn't bother you.
No, it doesn't, but you're almost exclusively posting in threads where nobody really cares what anybody is saying, because its all been said many, many times before. For lack of a better explanation, it appears most of the conversation you make is unnecessary. However, you are still free to make it. In my opinion, I've always tried to respond to current situations. Of course, there might be an occasional mistake, but it could be very exceptional. To clarify this, I would very much like to ask you to refer to specific examples so I can address them.

Have you guys checked this account? Honestly, I'm surprised this account wasn't included among the signature banned accounts. From what I've observed, this user obviously to have been on post boosting for years here in bitcointalk. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3454941;sa=showPosts

Are you interested in submissions of users for review, here, in another thread or via PM? I mean you don't really need them right now, you can take a look at any section or in any campaign and you will find plenty of candidates to issue a ban to. I didn't want to drop a few hundred usernames if you are not looking for such input yet.
Thanks for your enthusiasm. I'm trying to find a way to do this as unbiased as possible, and even though there's a large potential backlog of candidates, its probably better if I do something closer to random sampling. Its probably only fair that I disclose the method, to make things more transparent. It will take me a couple of days to put something together to show everybody. Random sampling ideas are the best, be careful with specific metric as has been discussed in subsequent pages e.g., X merit under Y days because local board farmers and their merit source buddies will game this to stay under the radar. What I can suggest besides this is that in some thread a good tracking of all issued bans, ordered in some way, is provided because it will be very interesting to follow up on the accounts -- if we don't, I suspect many will just resume quietly the same spamming the same way that they always did. @nutildah, do user posting on this kind of thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5487753.0 are candidates for sig ban? This thread was spam fest of wall post and repetitive thoughts. A thread like this was frequently being used by merit whores. I think this initiative is a perfect counter for the merit whores gang especially that their post are worst on gambling board. Rainbet & Rollbit campaign are full of this users. OP and most users that have posted in that thread after the first few pages should be permanently sig. banned, but the place is not ready yet to apply such strict measures. Even what is being done here is a long over-due, soft policy of enforcement. Things will get better, as long as OP is not impeded in his bans.

It really doesn't matter if you're responding to current situations or not, and there's no specific examples to address. The overall pattern of your posting behavior strongly suggests that you are only here to make signature campaign income, or to a degree far greater than your typical forum member. As a sidenote, this is one of your more interesting posts: Short but very important note: Why are so many people applying with less than 10 merits earned in last 120 days? We stated clearly in our opening post that this requirement must be met in order to qualify. Please do us all a favor and read threads before you are applying, this will help you in future. It is possible that they apply, becuse they think that posts quality is more important.. Not many people care about Merits, because 10 Merits everyone can buy for a few cents on local forums .. Why is this one of your more interesting posts? Because its outside of where you normally post, about a subject you almost never post about, and to top it off, you got 9 of your 21 merits for it. You got them from 4 different members: 2 accounts from 2013, 1 from 2014 and 1 from 2015. That is some serious OG respect right there.

I finally found the time to read the entire thread for today, and yes, this is really a huge step, and the forum is moving for the better. Some authors in topics exceeding a hundred pages will finally start reading, reading thoughtfully, so as not to repeat the same thing thirty times. For example, the usefulness of DCA is very well explained by some users in long topics a lot of times. Although it is enough to describe the very essence on one page to understand everything. Nowadays, when people cannot read texts longer than two or three lines, such new insights from Nutildah will work exclusively for the benefit of many. It's time to read all the posts, discuss, not repeat, paraphrase what was said, and think a little.
Did someone say that the forum is a school? Why not? Instead of writing "without sleep and without rest" the same thing, people will have a pause that will make them think. It is very beneficial for health, as AI makes people a stupid crowd.
Nutildah, I also thank you for your initiative. My respect for you.

~snip~ In our team, we actually have one person whose job is to review and rate posts from the perspective of someone who is not deeply involved in cryptos, blockchain or even in gambling.
This person is doing a very bad job considering that anyone who follows your campaign at all will confirm that it produces the most spam on the forum (especially in the Gambling board). It's possible that this company (and some others) bought a bunch of BTT accounts which they then used for self-promotion on this forum. These accounts are probably part of a bot network that is operated from one of the horrible places that exist in Cambodia where tens of thousands of people are forced to work in various online scams.
I believe I dont need to remind you that making false accusations can have serious legal consequences, right?
I'd encourage you to be more careful about the claims you make online, especially when they're based on assumptions rather than verifiable facts. Its important to distinguish speculation from evidence before making statements that could harm someone elses or, in this case, a company reputation
You'd be better off dealing with spammers in your campaign than trying to scare someone with nonsense like this. Stake has nothing but a bad reputation on this forum.
