Substandard posting habits considered in the decision to issue the ban include at least two of the following:

- Unoriginal or low effort replies, including inappropriate use of AI content.
- Repetitive, previously-expressed or generic comments that don’t add value or encourage conversation.
- Consistent burst posting (regularly writing posts less than 10 minutes apart).
- Off‑topic posting or shallow engagement (doesn't provide insight, analysis or perspective).
- Posting in principle for signature campaign payment and not for the sake of contributing actual discussion.

If you believe your signature ban is incorrect or you've made some improvement to your posting habits, please feel free to explain your case below.

I'm coming back to the topic because this answer is incomprehensible to me:

It really doesn't matter if you're responding to current situations or not, and there's no specific examples to address. The overall pattern of your posting behavior strongly suggests that you are only here to make signature campaign income..

You think my only goal in posting on this forum is income. I disagree with this. You're making an arbitrary judgment, but I can't prove it to you.
However, everyone can check my post history and judge it for themselves.

Could you please explain which second point of the rules also applies to my posts?

You can prove it, by continuing to make posts. I mean, other than just arguing about the sigban.

I've already explained everything to you. Prove me wrong about your motivations, and by the time your ban expires, you won't have anything to worry about anymore.

nutildah, are you ok with receiving personal messages of potential accounts to look into? I run into a few from time to time which aren't quite breaking forum rules, but are annoying and in my opinion are posting because of signature campaigns and given quite vague / empty replies. Ultimately you might not agree, but I can send some lists every so often. I'd probably wait until there's at least 20 or so (or 100, now that's saying something!) in the list so I'm not sending constant PMs.

Okay, I'll do that. But today, you caught my attention more.

You're the only one who thinks you've explained it all. Everything you wrote is just an arbitrary assessment.

Something like that. I just decided to add 90-day bans yesterday, and I will probably add a 30-day "warning" ban down the line.

What is the minimum ban duration?

If the idea is to have a thread to appeal to, it means the ban could be reversed before the initially indicated end date, right?

I am currently picking the lowest-hanging fruit, and there's a lot of it. No offense meant to the affected, but that's whats going on.
More than half of the accounts that were Sigbanned last night, were on my Ignore list. I'd say you're on to something Smiley

Quote
Could this be the loophole to these newly introduced controls, anybody that only posts in local boards and outside the lenses of  Nutildah is 100% safe. In short out of sight, is out of mind.
That's true. I'm not gonna attempt to analyze foreign language posts.
Especially on the Tech boards, it's very obvious when "local board users" drop by hoping to earn Merit. Many of them get reported for posting chatbot verbal diarrhea and other unhelpful posts. If they're shitposting on their local board, it's up to their local Mods to deal with it. But once they reach the English boards, they now risk losing their signature.
After years of seeing shitposts, I'm happy to see some real consequences for spammers.

You think my only goal in posting on this forum is income. I disagree with this.
~
However, everyone can check my post history and judge it for themselves.
I did check your post history: you were almost exclusively posting on the Gambling boards, until you got Sigbanned. Since then, you made 13 posts, and none of them about gambling, because you stopped earning from it.

nutildah, are you ok with receiving personal messages of potential accounts to look into?
I could just send my Ignore list, but it looks like nutildah is getting to them already on his own Tongue

It just so happened that yesterdaay this thread captured my full attention.
I was more about reviewing and opinion about previous posts and confirming that they were spam, unconstructive, unhelpful, and deserved a sigban.
But thanks for your time anyway.

The overall pattern of your posting behavior strongly suggests that you are only here to make signature campaign income
What is wrong in that?

This cannot be a criteria to measure a spammer because everyone here is for making money.

Because, 99.9% people here either already wearing signature or preparing themselves to wear and the rest are already the hodler of bitcoin and like a stock investor who reading balance sheet/ attending annual meeting, holders are participating in this forum either in read-only-mode or writing without signatures. So, all 100% of people are here for making money.

Bitcoin is capped for that very reason, making money.

If you say that you have adapted bitcoin for decentralization alone, then you should not hodl, just use bitcoin and forget and you do not need to worry on the future of bitcoin because for protecting your identify and to enjoy all decentralization benefits, just tether (USDT) is enough and I am sure that you will have 100s of alternate to tether as well.

So, if you are here, agree or not, you are here for making money.

For socializing and for knowledge sharing, lots of other platforms are available. You chose bitcoin hence you are here. Bitcoin is for making money.

I still wonder how theymos agreed for sigban all of sudden.

Because, theymos already rejected all the proposal for banning signature campaign to prevent spam in this forum.

From that I understood, theymos is practically dealing with spam with all possible measures like "merit system" and with "more mods".

You may argue that merit system failed to control spam.

Let me explain:

Why lately more spam in this forum:

Simple explanation: there are more campaigns and more active posters hence more posts look like spam.

For example, if 10% of posts could be classified as spam in 2020 or in 2015, now as well same 10% (or approximately) spam is happening even today but due to more participants, it looks like more spam and a problem.

What could be done initially to prevent spam:

1. Campaigns must switch to pay per post and should not enforce a weekly maximum to get paid.

This will help posters not to push to write for not missing pay-out. Already @icopress and @AB de Royse777 are doing this.

2. Campaigns should not enforce specific board posts to be eligible for payment.

This is an obvious reason why maximum spam happening in gambling discussion.

Why stake campaign is the main target for nutildah for years:

1. They are allowing negative tagged account as well (For example: @OgNasty)

(Even @Hhampuz is allowing neg-tagged accounts if I remember correctly.)

2. Unlike most other campaigns, stake camp pays as much as 100 posts per week.

3. Managed by own people and not by a reputed manager.

My estimation on fate of this initiative:

Only 2 possibilities:
Either spammers will find a trick for not looking like a spam (how people got used to merit system).

OR

nutildah will sigban 90% of signature camp participants and forum will have only 10% of traffic from what it's having today.

Blah.blah.blah
Stfu your nonsense. Improved your post and you don’t need to argue or resort on this obsessive justification of your opinion.

You will never experience signature ban if your post have value on it. Nutildah is a reasonable man and I doubt he will do lunatic behavior while everyone is watching his decision making.

In fairness, I agree to your opinion about everyone here is for the money. Even LoyceV at some point claiming he is not yet he has his own sales pitch thread for his signature, avatar and personal text rental. Lmao

Same on so called reputable member here that jumps on every signature campaign whenever there’s open spot or higher pay rate. It’s hypocrisy to use the reason of posting for the sake of signature campaign to ban someone.

Even some reputable member here behaves like pajeet when it comes to signature campaigns earnings. Prove me wrong and request voluntary signature space ban permanently and still be active.

Why is Newbie Nadifa2030 Sigbanned? Don't get me wrong: this AI spammer is already on my Ignore list, but this Newbie can't even have a signature yet. With 17 posts deleted by Mods, this accounts would be better off Nuked.

Not true if we are talking about the near past. According to data from my Talksearch scraper, the average number of active posters this year is similar, but not identical, to last year, 2024, 2023, and 2022. (I measured topics created in said timeframe.)

There was no sustained magical explosion in Bitcointalk users recently, not even when mixers were banned.

The sigban is just for accounts that are being paid that are posting nonsense. I don't see why you are complaining? Just because you don't like nutildah? Do you realize how many of these guys are making duplicate posts, posting with AI only, responding to their alt accounts just for the sake of posting, opening duplicate topics, or not reading other replies in topics and posting the same answer as 5 others just a few posts above theirs?

If they wanna spam or not read others replies or whatever else I mentioned, they can. They just won't be paid for it.

Minus the NBA thread, I try to steer clear of most of the threads with more then a few pages. If you are not reading replies, you are likely going to be saying the same thing 5 others have said because they didn't read replies either. Just farms trying to rank up accounts and it's also part of the reason those accounts are not getting merits. What value are those people adding to a thread by reposting someone else's opinion? What value are they bringing to a conversation if they don't have their own opinion?

You can dislike a person or the process, but your complaining isn't offering a better solution. Let the guy do his job and see if the process works. Gotta give it a chance before immediately hating the idea. Is he messing with your farm?

New Sigbans:
loyce.club/bans/sigbanned.html
The list is updated once a day. I don't expect expiring Sigbans to show up in modlog, but they do show up when manually removed.
The list is in chronological order, each update to a user's Sigban status moves the user to the top again.
Over the years, I expect some users to collect multiple Sigbans. This list will only grow longer, I won't remove entries.
Let me know if anything fails, I haven't had a lot of test-data yet.

If these were one of the reason, I might have not composed that long post.

Nothing personal against @nutildah here. I have second opinion against this initiative hence trying my best to enable people to understand what they are really missing.

I am not against controlling spam or busting spammers but OP have never gave any clear justification for any ban so far, but just based on overall look which is really really bad method in my opinion.

Do you agree that chasing camp quota is a valid criteria to ban? I mean individual posts can be a proof to ban but not overall behaviour, am I clear with my point there?

Minus the NBA thread, I try to steer clear of most of the threads with more then a few pages.
In my opinion, the purpose of long sports topic is backed with sprit of helping sportsbetting.

Those discussions are helping bettors to get an idea for their sportsbetting. If not, those topics might have got nuked at the early stages itself or might have locked how "gold vs bitcoin" kind of topics were fated.

Long sports topics are happening with a reason still spams also happening but we cannot complain because to some bettor, it may help. I still hate when some people wrote just running commentary for a sport but we need to remember that these days most casinos allow different types of betting even during the play time. So, seeding an idea to a bettor is the core purpose why we have long sports topics.

You may have a new topic for every season of Premier league, still nothing going to change.

My point is, just posting on a mega sports topic itself should not be treated as a spammer. Content and context matter.
