ThemePen is also my friend, but again, only through the Bitcointalk community. We exchanged phone numbers, but we have never met in person.
Yeah, he introduced you to the forum apparently:
And the others case is different Rustam is one of friends friend in other group on WhatsApp and I introduced him this forum too. He applied in this campaign but then it closed. And he said to me that when a campaign is opened plz let me inform. When this campaign opened I called him to reapply. But instead he sent me his password and requested me to reapply for him since he was away from the internet. And that's my mistake and I accidently posted from my own account.
Don't you need the internet to use WhatsApp?
You must trust him a lot to give him the password to your Bitcointalk account.
Come on, let's be reasonable.
Just because someone is away from the internet doesn't mean they're living in a cave or underground. He was still able to contact me on WhatsApp and asked me to reapply on his behalf because he couldn't do it himself at the time.
As far as I remember, he was traveling due to a family emergency, so he wasn't in a position to handle it personally. There's nothing unusual about asking a friend for help in that situation.

Without creating labels or stereotypes, I see many immigrants from Pakistan opening pizza shops in my city.
What is the city name?

Lisbon.  Wink

Thinking about it, they also open a lot of mobile phone shops. Could I have an alt account farm on the next street and not even know it?  Roll Eyes

~~

The arguments presented are incredible.

In Portugal we have a popular saying that goes:
"The truth is like olive oil, it always rises to the surface."

As far as I remember, he was traveling due to a family emergency, so he wasn't in a position to handle it personally. There's nothing unusual about asking a friend for help in that situation.

I would never ask a friend to log into my Bitcointalk account. Not even via email, let alone here.

This, to me, is very unusual.

The more you read how the story goes, the more unusual it gets.

He was traveling due to a family emergency, an already highly stressful situation, but then he gets a WhatsApp call telling him a Bitcointalk campaign has reopened. So his instinct is to hand over his Bitcointalk password to someone he's never actually met so his application can be made RIGHT NOW... Meanwhile the campaign was open for weeks afterward. And to top it off, ThemePen ends up accidentally posting his friend's application under his own username anyway.

Just because someone is away from the internet doesn't mean they're living in a cave or underground.

What does that have to do with anything? Either you have internet or you don't. The forum requires a very small amount of internet to use. Your friend already had his password memorized and a cell phone with WhatsApp on it. He could have posted the application from his own phone and left you out of it.

He was still able to contact me on WhatsApp and asked me to reapply on his behalf because he couldn't do it himself at the time.

That's a bit strange. You said he sent you the password on Telegram initially, but I suppose mistakes with memories do happen.

If he was away from the internet then how it's possible for him to sent his password to you? Huh
...
Dear yes he sent me password on telegram. May be his internet was slow or something I don’t know he told me on call that he can’t post at moment and ask me to do it. I mentioned he was away from internet at that time.

He's away from the internet but he can answer a WhatsApp call that requires far more kb of data transmission than logging into Bitcointalk and making a post. I don't buy it. But I'm trying to retire from red tagging accounts.

It seems that the statements are less and less consistent.
A month ago, CryptoYar quite confidently stated how far apart Publiktalk792 and Rustam Meraj are, only to now recognize them as 100% alt accounts. At the same time, he has the same IP address as someone who is hundreds of kilometers away in another city and district.
Yes I said that based on the evidences presented same plates using multiple times, now at this point, I personally believe they are operated by the same person, and I will tag them as well. However, my priority right now is to clear my own name first.

Publiktalk792 → Same city in Pakistan, but most probably around 50 km away
Rustam Meraj → Different city, different district, and most probably hundreds of km away
Now here, Rustam Meraj claims that he lives in the same area. That's what happens when you don't tell the truth, it's very difficult to keep the same story going
Yes, we know each other because we live in the same area. But we got to know each other only through our Pakistan local community here on Bitcointalk, and then later we discovered that we live nearby.
Yes, we made pizzas together And making it for three years. As for the ATT contest, I made a completely separate pizza specifically for that contest, and I made it entirely by myself.
That's what I genuinely believed at the time I wrote that post.
If my intention had been to deceive anyone, I would have made sure my story was consistent from the very beginning. Instead, I clearly used the words "most probably" because I wasn't certain—I wasn't presenting it as a fact.
What I knew was that we both lived in Lahore, but I also knew we originally came from different areas. For example, I'm originally from Central Punjab but currently live in Lahore. Based on that understanding, I referred to us as being from different cities/districts. It was simply my understanding not an attempt to mislead anyone.

Can anybody else confirm this? The thing is, if that were the case, we would have a person—or the same group of people, cheaters—who are already a merit source and were applying for a second one. No wonder shitposters can achieve high ranks.
It seems as though one merit source (ThemePen) was not enough for that group of accounts therefore they wanted to get another (CryptoYar) as merit source too.

I hope nutildah's job may help put a stop to this nonsense.
If nutildah were to ban signatures on all known farmed accounts, it would greatly disrupt the nefarious intentions of the puppeteers and account farmers that have infested the forum.

Having said that, I believe his remit to issue signature bans is specific to low quality posts and spammers. Maybe he can confirm this.

Your story is changing almost every time you comment on why you logged in using the Rustam Meraj account. As for the internet, if he contacted you by WhatsApp he had access to the internet

There's nothing unusual about asking a friend for help in that situation.
There is everything strange about it.

How are we supposed to believe that one member allegedly gave his password to another in order to login here to apply for a campaign, this sounds even more ludicrous today than it did the first time I read about it last year when you were questioned about it Grin

In Portugal we have a popular saying that goes:
"The truth is like olive oil, it always rises to the surface."
The saying is true without doubt. In the case of account farmers, on many occasions they (and some of accounts) receive tags too.

~ It was simply my understanding not an attempt to mislead anyone.
Why have you not removed the Owlmail signature and avatar? You were removed from the campaign yet continue to give the impression that you are participating in a campaign and there is usually only one motive for that.

Well this drama has come to its end but still there are some things that needed to be done in order to get this to its ultimate conclusion.

1)Tag by DT Members  Done

2) I am sure these accounts won't be able to get into further campaigns but they need to be removed from their current campaigns too otherwise it wouldn't matter to them as long as they are getting earnings from campaigns.

CryptoYar - Removed
Publictalk792 - Roobet (Hhampuz) -  Pending
Rustam Meraj - Rainbet (Hhampuz)  - Pending
ThemePen - Rollbit (Hhampuz)    - Pending

Maybe someone need to contact Hhampuz to take appropriate actions.

3) Themepen - Removal from Merit Source  -Pending

Someone need to contact Theymos to get him out of the merit source list otherwise he has enough merits to bring up new and other unidentified accounts.

4) Recover 1500$ from Cryptoyar  -Pending

This maybe an impossible task as I don't think a scammer would ever return the money, if he was honest, he wouldn't have violated the rules in the first place.  Angry

Honestly, each of your explanations only puts you in an even more difficult position.
Let's ignore for a moment the probability of whether you will be able to clear your name, whether you can directly agree on what your position is regarding the pizza contest, considering that you were accused of unfair participation, and at the same time you took the main prize.
Many members emphasise that here and that is one of the reasons why your case has attracted so much attention

You could contact him but I suggest you wait. Of course removals are not going to be instant but during the post counting, he will notice the red tags and act on that. Right now it is highly likely that he is a bit busy.
It's just a lot of unplanned offline time that coincides with other things causing some delays here and there but soon summer is over and we'll be back on track.

3) Themepen - Removal from Merit Source  -Pending

What baffles me is if the signature campaign jobs are so lucrative for these farmers, why in the world are they too retarded to just follow the forums rules? You are allowed to have multiple accounts, JUST DON'T JOIN THE SAME CAMPAIGNS. Pretty damn easy to follow 1 easy rule isn't it?
Or just don't cheat in contest/ involve in merit abuse.
Edit:
Those accounts are usually managed by a group (relatives, friends, or a company), and at the end of the week the profits are shared.
It is difficult for a single user to manage such a farm, or at least would be more careful than this mess.
In this case, for what it's worth, this is the only guess that remains tenable. How long does it take on an average to make a post that carries semantic load in one account? Keep multiplying...
In meta, Yar had all the time in the world to lock the application thread as suggested even before the "same kitchen/same plate" evidences showed up--- I guess he needs to own up to all these accusations now?

I want to see how this situation develops but if doesn't return the prize he unfairly took, my suggestion for icopress would be to ban any Pakistani user to participate in the contest for the next years. This can be considered also as a warning for all the other local sections out there: one of you screws it up, you're all gonna pay.

In this way we can see how much CryptoYar cares about his mates.

That would be very harsh for the rest of the genuine members who don't even cheat. It is also not like the Pakistani board is the first local board  where cheats have been caught. There so many other local boards that have had some of the members get caught as cheats so if you are going to use that criteria, you might as well ban other boards too.

A few bad characters does not mean the whole local board is full of bad characters. The bad chaps don't even care about their mates because if they did, they wouldn't be farming accounts and cheating in the first place.

I don't expect a greedy person to return the prize... yep my expectations are so low regarding such people.

I'm specifically talking about the Pizza Contest. He basically stole $1,500, we're not talking about a few bucks here. And of course he has a choice, he just needs to return the prize which, at that point, would be given to the real winners. We're not talking about cheating in a signature campaign, he took money from other users who took part in the competition. In a situation like this for me the punishment must be as harsh as possible. But, again, he just needs to return the money, easy peasy.

Some of the comments being made by some of the accounts in question are making me laugh. The Rustam Meraj account is claiming they have been getting together for the past three years to make pizzas. Who in their right mind would actually believe this?

I will say this, there are many members - I can sat at least 20 or so forum users here that we get together annually. and some of them quite a bit more frequently than that.

not defending the users in question or making any claims on them being different or the same person(s) just saying that the claim of getting together with other forum members is possible.

Nobody is denying the fact that forum members can actually meet together and get to know each other in real life but when they tell you that the reasons are:
  • Family emergency so they give their forum password to another user to apply for a signature campaign on their behalf
  • Cook pizza for the forum contest together sharing the same frying pan

I mean, who is going to believe that?

If Rustam Meraj make pizza together with Publictalk792 then i suggest try to check sawera2255@ . In the case of two people making pizza together, found out after finding many similarities. I found something that Rustam Meraj and sawera2255@ has two similarities which are use same blue color and same blue tone food coloring, the bubble shape above the whale and number shape of rustam meraj are similar. Can it be said that it is also coincidence. Beside that when Sawera2255@ can not upload her pizza picture, Publictalk792 help her very fast (around 5 minutes after upload) is it also coincidence. Try to check sawera2255@ is the one who updated periodically number of pizza votes on pakistan thread. Beside that i thik she is very lucky, she just joined bitcointalk several days before contest announced and for newbie, she get merit fast comparing to other member. Is it wrong if i smell fishy ?

gotcha - questioning the reasons for "getting together" not the possibility of "getting together"

yea I did not get together with anyone I know when making my pizza for the forum pizza contest lol

In meta, Yar had all the time in the world to lock the application thread as suggested even before the "same kitchen/same plate" evidences showed up--- I guess he needs to own up to all these accusations now?

That was my first thought, and I noticed JollyGood's post, which twice advised CryptoYar to close the thread. But here, CryptoYar's usual greed worked. After all the evidence that has surfaced, we understand that his desire to become a source of merit was NOT well-intentioned, but it was the same desire that was in the mind of the Nigerian "female" merit source.

Plead with theymos if I can get little more increase as my supply doesn't serve me any longer, this can also help me to spread out to other sections of the forum.

🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Moreover, I am sure that he will not refund this amount (why?), and he already has several other alternative accounts from which he will continue to exist on the forum.

In general, the fact that merit exchanges occur only through one community (between each other) proves that people on the forum are not sincere, as they ignore the posts of other people who do not belong to their "gangs," which means they clearly have plans for fraud and cheating.

I want to see how this situation develops but if doesn't return the prize he unfairly took, my suggestion for icopress would be to ban any Pakistani user to participate in the contest for the next years. This can be considered also as a warning for all the other local sections out there: one of you screws it up, you're all gonna pay.

A ban on participation in the contest in the future for everyone who is related to the same local section would be harsh, but if we assume that they all have the same IP address and they are all neighbors and come to the forum at each other's invitations, it would be fair. Try to register an account with a Pakistani and check how many merits you will receive, allegedly from your compatriots. You will see how "sincere" this community is and how much they love their own.

There is a saying that says it very well: "A hand always washes its own hand."🤝

Did theymos remove ThemePen from merit source?
According to Merit Stats, there are 85 merit sources now. The last time I checked it, there were 86 merit sources. ThemePen also hasn't sent any merit in the last three days.

Edit:
theymos has merited the topic. This confirms that the removed merit source is ThemePen.
