People keep talking down on degree like it's a waste of time. There are jobs that pay far more than business can ever pull. The thing here is choice. Make your choice whether to be a worker or a business person. Don't allow the sentiment of the world to make you do something that you don't want to do. If it's a job that you want to do, by all means get your degree and job hurt.

If it's a business, get ready for the constant failures that comes with it. Nothing is gotten easily, even the so called job. You still have to put in the work to be the best among many.

The business you want to go into, there are already available businesses like that, so what then is so special about yours that you want people to patronise you. All those things are what makes you stand out. So make a choice today, a job or a business?

The fact is that even in business, it is not easy for someone to become successful. It is just like going to school and getting a degree; having a degree does not guarantee that someone will be successful. In fact, how many people have gone into business many times and continued to fail? Becoming a successful businessman is not easy.However, seeing some successful people is what makes others think it is easy to become successful in business. But they don't always ask about those who have gone into business and failed.

In fact, people should ask themselves, when they are talking about business, where is the capital? Or are they thinking that the money spent in school to acquire a degree is enough to start a business and become successful, as they may be thinking?What people should know is that a degree has its own value, and getting a degree does not stop someone from doing business. It all depends on where the opportunities are coming from, for some people they get their opportunities and most people get more opportunities from running a business than what they get from having a degree but this is not the case for everyone because some people get more opportunities from having a degree. Depending on the type of degree I want to study and its market demand in the society that will determine which one i will choose. Because if it were to be a degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, or Engineering courses, then I would chosen the degree over a business. But if it was to be a degree in low demand faculties like "Accounting" or "Business Administration Studies," then I would have rather just chosen to go into business full-time. Because careers like medicine, pharmacy, or engineering that have a high demand in the society, while you can still also go into businesses too after graduation you have gotten your degree. While another factor that should determine which one you should choose is if the education will be funded by yourself or by your parents or guardians.  But if you are the one to train yourself, then just go into business and then go back to school.

If you're to get a degree you should first consider the available opportunities in that area and try to match it with your ability to perform in that sector.

Same goes for business, if you're to start a business you should also conythe type of business and it's demands. If you're okay that you can meet up with it's demands then you can go ahead to run that business.

Everyone was built uniquely and what might work for A might not work for B and even if it does you'll notice the difference.

To succeed in life, it is more important to understand your own capabilities than to compare yourself to others. The work that you can do very well may not be done as well as others. The same is true in the case of Bitcoin, because one person's financial situation and ability to take risks are different from another. Some people are able to save some money every month because of their regular income, while others may not be able to do so because their income is not regular. It depends on the businesses that an individual wants to do. If the business requires a degree then it is needed. But if it's not, the business can be done without it but good skills to run it.
Some persons prefer business than getting a degree. It might be the income it generates. And could be the amount needed to fund oneself in school to get that degree. Some persons might have the thought of using that money  for school to start a business because they believe that money will be doubled when invested in business. In my environment today people would prefer starting a business than getting a degree for the fear of not securing a better payable job. Actually, this issue does raise several different points of view. For example, if we have enough capital to continue our education and earn a degree, but that capital also means we have enough to start a business, then if it were me, I would personally choose to start the business first. I could pursue my bachelor’s degree once my business is stable and I have enough profit to pay for college while running the business.

However, the situation would be different if that person were, from the very beginning, someone set to inherit wealth from their parents along with a large company that they would have to manage someday. In that case, someone from that background would certainly prioritize education and a bachelor’s degree, as they’ll be required to master a wide range of knowledge to eventually manage the family business. Or consider someone with connections who’s already been promised a position if they successfully graduate and earn a bachelor’s degree. In that scenario, choosing to go to college and earn a bachelor’s degree is the most logical choice.

But for an ordinary person like me, prioritizing business might be my choice. Although a few years ago I might have thought differently, life experiences have led me to this way of thinking.

I partially agree with your view, but regarding needing a degree to do business, I somewhat disagree. Because many successful entrepreneurs in the world have built big businesses without formal degrees. To be successful you need to have the will strong determination & of course it must be accompanied by hard work. So a degree is not a guarantee for achieving success in business but having a degree is better because knowledge can be gained from two places at once from a university as well as elsewhere. 

The point is people who keep learning whether through experience & formal education are usually more prepared to face risks & can even grow their business bigger. A degree is not a must have requirement because the most important thing is having the willingness to keep learning & keep trying.

As a degree holder, you are likely going to be working for business owners that can decide your fate and push you around anyhow they like, all because they pays your salary, which is nothing compared to what they stands to make monthly or weekly.

Because the most enterprising people usually know what they need to do here and now, rather than trying to climb the general career ladder. For example, a friend of mine found a list of countries where iPhones are cheap and immediately bought a lot. Then he went to countries where iPhones are expensive.
And he traveled so many times, forgetting his construction background. And as far as I know, he now earns much more than any office boss. It's true that over time, this type of work may change due to geopolitics, and he'll have to look for something new. But if you work for a large company, your position will remain stable; you won't end up on the street.

Looking at the fact that, it’s based on what you’ve observed in your locality, I wouldn’t want to argue with you on that.

Rather, I’ve experienced differently in my part of the world. Not because there are lots of jobs as, it’s actually lacking over here too. The boycotting of degree for business or skill acquisition is mainly pushed by the lack of financial means or sponsorship for certain individuals to go through school.

Most people with well to do parents or guidances always think to go through school first before having to consider business. At most, some marry them both and it works for them.

1. It depends. If you are a degree holder and you have a business related into your field its an edge already, you know the price, you know where to market and you know how much do you sell just to have profit.

2. I still prefer having a degree, its just a backup plan. Lets say you have a degree and then you can find a job related into it and once you find its not for you, you can start your business with a capital, now if you start a business without a degree still its okay because there are successful people there risk their life how to have the business they had right now but not all people come up with the same path, same story. From my own opinion i think why most people prefer business this days than degree, is because degree is something that took people 3 to 4 years also involves large amounts of money acquire it. There're many degree holder's who find it difficult to get a good paying jobs that suits their qualifications, unlike Nigeria where we have so many graduates with no good jobs opportunities.
