Getting a degree now in contemporary times almost seems like a waste of time because a lot of people succeeding in business do that without having a degree but this doesn't mean that it is advisable or the best way to go. Even though you might not really make use of your degree it is better to acquire it.

You can have a degree and also run a business, this increases the chances of you getting more opportunities but another thing to consider here is the person's Field of study, a lot of degrees seems almost useless because people can't seem to find or secure a job because what they studied in school isn't really needed.

We only talk about graduates that don't have a job but we don't talk about graduates that studied a good course or are good enough In the course they studied, a lot of graduates only have a certificate but no knowledge and yet we only talk about lack of employment.
Having a degree is quite good and valuable but not everyone needs it to become successful. Education is something that cannot be measured by certificate alone because experience, practical skills, business knowledge and creativity also matter a lot. There are many graduate people around us who are struggling to get job despite they have good degree and their degree are useless because there is no job market that have enough job opportunities for them in their particular field. At the same time if someone has a degree that does not automatically mean that they have more amount of knowledge or they are going to perform well in their practical life. I think best way is to combine practical skills with education. A person can get degree can build a business and also learn any skill that he want. The best way is to get knowledge not just have certifications that can lead to better job opportunities.

With a degree, even if your business fails, you can still look for a suitable job to keep a steady income and maintain some financial stability. On the flip side , if you go all in on the business with no plan B , failure could wipe out both your capital and your income .  Starting over  after that would be much harder , especially when you no longer have a steady income to cover your living expenses.
This is very low of comparison,  you failed to add that one can graduate and still be unemployable  due to poor academic performance while in school, nothing good come easy as a students you have to study hard to be employable when you graduate from school then as business owner you need to be trained in trade to acquire the needed knowledge to be successful in business,  all these takes processes both school and business.

Business is the best, it's the road map to wealth and forever prosperity, its still better than degree to me, education is the ability to read and write with this you can be successful in any field,  one doesn't need a degree to be successful. With a business that has the capacity to generate steady income you're good to go. It's good to think wise, you might graduate and still be jobless but as a business owner, it's will be hard to struggle like a graduate because you already have a business. I choose business over a degree.

The best way is to get knowledge not just have certifications that can lead to better job opportunities.
A degree can prove a person's formal education in a particular subject. It is not right to conclude that someone is incompetent if they do not have a degree. Even after earning multiple degrees many people do not understand the exact difference between the education they have acquired and the needs of the real workplace. The reason is that the education system often gives more importance to theoretical knowledge. As a result  a person may lag behind in terms of educational qualifications even if he is ahead in terms of his qualifications, due to the lack of necessary skills in the workplace. Along with formal education, acquiring practical skills is also important. One can start a business along with his studies, acquire technical skills or create experience in a specific field according to his interest. This will create multiple income possibilities in front of him instead of depending only on a job. The real purpose of education is not just to earn a certificate. A degree can bring you an opportunity. But to utilize that opportunity, you need real knowledge, skills and a learning mindset.

The number of professions in which a degree makes finding a job easier is steadily decreasing. Moreover, your level of academic achievement during your school years no longer carries as much weight as it once did. The high number of graduates—and the resulting large pool of people competing for the same positions—makes the job-hunting process increasingly difficult.

Starting your own business, meanwhile, is not as easy as it might appear. You must manage your capital wisely and conduct comprehensive analyses for the venture you intend to pursue. Researching the requirements of the business and developing a solid plan are of critical importance. Whether you are seeking employment using your degree or launching a new venture, you must be prepared to face various challenges.

That's because acquiring a degree needs a lot of money and time not everyone can afford it. Business also is about money and time but not as acquiring a degree each day comes with different expenses and bills to pay most people who could no longer continue end up dropping out  Because the journey was no longer easy for them I think is best to have a business before acquiring a degree
The choice to go for business over educational qualification is a matter of choice and not because of finance consumption,  time consuming or other involvements, both educational qualification and business experience are of same purposes which is to gain financial freedom at last.
With the current situations where educational qualification is not a guarantee to gain financial freedom,  many have chosen to go for business that is for those good at it business because with it financial freedom can be achieved and can still go to school at last. On this i prefer business over educational qualification because with business one is guaranteed but with educational qualification financial freedom is not guaranteed.

Why do so many people prefer starting a business over getting a degree?
Because a successful business can bring much higher income, while a job after a degree usually has a fixed salary. A degree takes about 4 years and costs a lot. A business can start with small capital and might grow 4 times in those same 4 years. Plus, many graduates still struggle to find good jobs.

•Do you think a degree is important to run a business, or can skills and experience replace it?
•What would you choose: start a small business without a degree, or get a degree first and then start a business?

Except a person is an illustrate that cannot cope in the school if not most people usually prefers to start from schooling before they would fall back to business, perhaps you are one of those people who thinks that everybody who went for the degree are doing it because of the job they would land themselves but truly a lot of people with degrees doesn't want jobs because to them there is nothing more conducive than owning a business because with a business and degree you have an economical advantage than somebody without a degree so is actually a question that everybody would choose degree first before starting a business.
Being an ileterate is more expensive than lack of job. Running a business before getting a degree all depends on which one came first. Buthe need for education can't be over emphasized. I walked into a big store and demand to see the oner of the the shop, and a man walked up to me claiming to be the owner of the shop, but after our conversation I noticed the man could not speak English well as a result of lack of education despite that he has the money and a business. His weakness is lack of education affecting his communication skills.

It looks good to motivate only here when saying he is successful indirectly we can also think that he is not making a degree a priority because conditionally by saying "success" you allude to he should be able to get a degree if he wants but the choice is more to his business not to education so it is understandable why he only has 1 degree in high school only no more.

On the one hand, this also cannot be a benchmark for some people because having a successful business does not mean instant because we also need to see whether your friend has more privilege or not because he is aware or not to now become a successful person in any case including business, education or work everything will not be separated from the privilege that he may have.
I never said that a successful business can be built quickly. No, on the contrary, this process takes a long time and requires not only investment but also a certain amount of experience and dedication.

Many years ago, I had two businesses that I’d spent more than five years building up, but one fine day, they all came to an end because of sanctions imposed against my country. Is that my fault? No, it was the whim of my government, which I never voted for.

Ever since then, I’ve always kept in mind that some idiot in power is capable of ruining a person’s life in an instant.

The numbers of professional graduate are steadily decreasing because the value it gives people is no longer there. Our parents were thought the old school ways where they grow up, face their studies, come up with the bat grade in school and get a good job and get married, start a life and you are up there doing your thing. However, the story has change, your school certificate is not enough anymore, you have to add something to be relevant.

There used to be a time that before you will be relevant in the job market, you must have your masters degree certificate together with your first degree but today, even if you combine the both certificate, you are not guaranteed of any job. This is why people are getting discourage to go back to school. Who will want to waste their youthful years looking for a paper that will be irrelevant later.

Sometimes business collapse aren’t caused by business owners, just like what you have mentioned in your situation now, Government policies can become a disaster for someone’s business with bad and poor economy involved, it takes so much to build a Successful Business, while it takes something simple and small to destroy that business, you can start a business without having an experience, but while you’re building that business you can be learning in a gradual process, Government has a role to play in a man’s life, success in your endeavor can actually depend on Government Policies.

And this is why the importance of education can never be underestimated, you can do business, but once you do business, you no longer need to study or education will not be useful in your life. Being educated is also very necessary in making the right decisions in life, because a stupid person will not be able to deal with high class people, and whether it is in business or any other field, an uneducated person will never be able to deal with a educated high profile or standard person, because he will not have that bit of knowledge. And besides, you do not have a job and do business, but the value of your education, you will find everywhere, the value of education is never small. And so of course it is important to continue studying to educate yourself, it will be useful in every field of life.

Basically, the unemployment rate in various countries is increasing, so after spending a long time earning a higher degree, people have to enter a low-paying job or even fail to find a job and end up unemployed. Now people have realized that it is wiser to get involved in business in advance than to earn a higher degree if you have to spend a long time unemployed after completing your education. Moreover, if you have to start a low-paying job after earning a higher degree, it is much more effective to become an entrepreneur with a business and your own independence model. That is why people are currently choosing to become entrepreneurs or start a business rather than earning a degree.

No, not some vague role, but the most specific and direct one. I don’t know what it’s like in your country, but in mine, the government has meddled in every aspect of everyone’s life. No matter where you look, there isn’t a single area left untouched by state interference. Under these circumstances, you might as well forget about privacy once and for all.

It’s sad that I couldn’t foresee the risks associated with the authorities’ policies. I should have anticipated this move and acquired the necessary knowledge to mitigate the consequences.

Why do so many people prefer starting a business over getting a degree?
People generally prefer business over degrees because it takes many years to complete a degree and costs a lot of money, whereas if you start a business during that time, you can be successful within a few years.

•Do you think a degree is important to run a business, or can skills and experience replace it?
To start a business, you definitely need some education, it is never possible to take a business to a high position by being completely stupid, so general education is necessary for knowledge and experience and skills. However, I think that to start and run a business, you do not need a big degree, rather, with a little education, you can gain a lot of skills and experience, which can make a business successful.

•What would you choose: start a small business without a degree, or get a degree first and then start a business?

Although we plan to get an education and a big degree from a young age, it costs us a lot of money to get that degree and ultimately we have to work harder to be successful. Also, I think that rather than getting a big degree, getting a little education and starting a small business later will gradually grow. In my opinion, it is possible to run a small business along with education, while studying to get a degree and starting a small business along with it, one day I will also get a degree and my business will grow and go towards success.

I don’t still see the reason why people keep disregarding degree even though no much work out there to accommodate all degree holders. This is a very common practice now and I don’t buy that idea or mindset that’s pushing that.
no one here is saying that education or having a degree is bad.

I will also submit that even if you want to go get that degree, you first have a good skill or a kind of business that will be aiding you while In school.

On a ground that you have and already established a business for yourself before going back to school, you now have something to fall back on, after your school days.

Because we have more jobless graduates out there more than those who are working (White collar jobs) so it's not encouraging at all..
