Maybe governments can put a cap on the types of structures that can be built and how an area needs to be evaluated to determined the price of the nearby houses. But they would not do this because a lot of local goons are involved in promoting real estate and a part of that money goes to the local party leaders fund.

...Like, the area in which you are living. If it is facilitated by all desired things, then it is very obvious that the living cost will be higher in such areas.

Certain areas will have higher costs than others. You now have to take the decisions whether you want to travel a long route to work or live close to work and cut down on transport costs or live in between the two.

And if you are living in such an area where all things are not available, then the cost will be reduced due to low rents. Other than this, the cost also becomes high when the area in which you are living starts to develop, not instantly, haha, but with the passage of time, it really has big changes on its value due to the demandable area factor.

This comes down to personal preference and the needs of the family. If they want schools and institutes nearby they might stay in one place, if they are working they might prefer another place.

Simple and easy answer to anything that is becoming a problem is to become the problem yourself and not keep yourself on the other side, or in other words, if you cant beat them, join them.

The only solution to this rising cost of housing is a balanced economy, a country operating in a balanced economy never experience such challenges except for those willing to go above expectations.
Regarding this price control strategy identified as the solution to this housing challenges,  i will say it can only work if the government provides an alternative or makes provisions for  a balanced economy because the price of building materials can not be too expensive and you expect the landlords to reduce the cost of getting that apartment.
For now to archive this the government have a very serious role to play especially now that all are facing uncontrollable inflation over time.

No, they shouldn't. Usually, when government starts regulating prices - it's a disaster. What should, so to speak, "regulate" prices is market. Building companies should find a way to build houses spending less money and thus when they sell those houses for less money, they are still in profit.

People are moving to big cities not because it's their whim or something. They know that they can find a good paying job in big cities, and sometimes, unfortunately, moving to a big city is the only option if you want to have a good paying job.

I agree that having your own home is a completely different feeling. But I also understand that in the modern world it is practically a luxury. Besides, life is so unpredictable now, you cannot be sure that you will live in one house, in one city, or even in one country until the end. For example, I live through a war. I do not know, maybe I will have to flee somewhere, move somewhere, as I almost had to do once, almost five years ago at the very beginning of the war. And then owning your own home becomes almost a burden, especially if it is in an area at risk of being destroyed.
