That means they don’t have believe in bitcoin when they invested in it, if they had confidence in bitcoin, they won’t sell because they going to have the believe that bitcoin will survive any challenges that comes it’s way.

Most of the early investors were not necessarily people who believed that Bitcoin would reach the price level it has reached today. Some people simply invested, and they were lucky not to sell too early because they could take the high risk. That is why they are still holding on to their Bitcoin up to now.We all know that not everyone can take such high risks. When the price of Bitcoin was rising rapidly some years back, many people believed that it might eventually come down because they had never experienced any kind of investment that had given them that level of profit. So, selling their Bitcoin when the price increased to a certain level would have seemed like a smart move to them.

Even most of us who are likely to blame those who sold their Bitcoin early might still do the same thing by selling our own Bitcoin. It is not everyone who has the courage to see a large amount of money in their wallet and leave it untouched. Their minds might tell them that the price could continue to increase, but they might also fear that it could suddenly decrease.

No one can predict the future, let alone market trends. In my opinion,we need to set a goal—a target based on the purchase price, say a 20% gain—and sell once that is reached, regardless of market conditions.

I agree with you that no one can predict the future of the market. So it is definitely good to have a clear plan for yourself. However, I think that selling only after a 20% profit may not be the right decision in all situations. Because the investment objective is not the same for everyone. Some may buy for short-term profit, while others may buy to create wealth in the long term.
What is important to me is what amount of money we are investing. If it is excess money for our needs and our cash flow and emergency fund are in order, then there may be no need to sell repeatedly for temporary profit. Rather, it is more important to stick to your long-term plan. In the end, good investment does not depend only on when we sell, but on how accurately we can decide in accordance with our financial situation.

I understand your goal of setting a 20% profit. However, I would like to know one thing, if someone is investing with the goal of holding Bitcoin for the long term and has a solid cash flow and emergency fund, wouldn't selling it just for a 20% profit limit their long-term wealth creation plans?

A 20% target makes sense for some people but long term holders might have a different plan. the important part is knowing why youre holding bitcoin and when you might actually need the money.

The problem with a lot of investors is just impatience and also ignorance, a lot of people that invested in Bitcoin years ago but at some point they ended up selling their coins because they assumed that Bitcoin would not really get to the point that it's in currently and they are all regretting it now. Till date even with the slightest change in the price of Bitcoin a lot of people would be moved to sell their coins.

Fact and you just made a valid point, I know a lot of people who today are regretting why they sold their coins years just because of fear not that they needed the money but they were scared of only God knows what they were scared of and today the regret their decision and I learnt from there and I don’t think I will ever be impatient when it comes to Bitcoin am ready to leave my coin fit as many years as I like as long as am not in need of money either the market goes up or down i dont see any reason to be scared any longer, I have seeing the reality in bitcoin long long ago before now.

There was a tweet from a Twitter user who regretted selling his Bitcoin too early. And perhaps he is one of the Bitcoin OG’s who once traded Bitcoin at a very low price. Greg Schoen is someone who has said that he wishes he still held onto the several thousand Bitcoin he once owned. But he can only lament his mistake for selling them too soon, where at the time he regretted selling his Bitcoin at $0.30. And he regretted it because Bitcoin subsequently rose to $8 per coin. I personally think he still feels regret today considering that Bitcoin now commands a truly fantastic price. And it seems he still can’t let it go given that he was still tweeting about it in 2022 even though he had turned that old tweet into an NFT sale by then.

The halving cycle is still a long way off. And around each halving period Bitcoin offers the potential for profit because Bitcoin is becoming increasingly scarce and even demand for it is increasing across various sectors. Just because Bitcoin’s price has dropped slightly doesn’t mean you should sell it right away. You just need to be patient so you won’t regret it later. If you manage to hold out for a long time then you’ll reap the rewards of your patience all this time. Do you still think you’ll sell your Bitcoin at a low price? And aren’t you convinced that Bitcoin’s price will be very profitable for you? Please share your thoughts as well.

Many early investors actually regretted selling their Bitcoin so early, some of them didn't sell it because they had financial challenge, but they sold their Bitcoin because they were having doubt that Bitcoin may not have massive growth. However there were very few who also patiently kept their Bitcoin , and percevered every market volatility, and today they are really happy because of the massive reward they gained from Bitcoin. The same thing is still happening today, some persons are not still patient with their investment, they are still full of doubt, they monitor closely their portfolio, and any little price drop they react to it . Bitcoin have been in the digital market for so long now and investors should know that the only way to making good profit in Bitcoin is patience, and this allows your investment to grow reasonably over time, instead of selling at a low price because of market news or doubt.

To avoid being the candidates that have mixed feelings after selling out their Bitcoin to address an emergency situation, you have to plan for emergency situations even before emergency situations come forward. That is, as you are dollar-cost averaging into your investments in Bitcoin or accumulating Bitcoin through any other strategy, you have to also plan to keep a percentage of your income as well for emergencies just so that your investment is safe and not tampered with should any emergency happen.
The truth is that immediately you failed to set up an emergency funds to seat for emergency situation ahead, then be rest assured that you have automatically plan to settle problem from your investment holdings when they come and there is no two ways about it. However, most of us failed to understand that future problems are inevitable. Therefore making every necessary preparation ahead is way better than waiting for the problem to come before you'll start  running up and down. Furthermore, I think it's better we should plan ahead while kick starting our investment journey, else we will be forced to sort out future problems when they suddenly show up.

The people who deserve regrets are those who sold their Bitcoin off for no reason at all but just because they had weak hands.
I doubt if there are still people like that. Or may anyone thinking of doing that never value his efforts and hard work over the years. Or probably under the influence of something because a normal mind will never do that.
