I don’t know if anyone has been in a tough situation like this before. A situation where someone offers to sell a parlay game that’s already halfway through.
Here’s what really happened, a friend of mine offered to sell a 10 leg parlay bet which is already halfway done, 6 games are already green with a pretty good cashout option and 4 games left to clear the slip. So he offered to sell the game to me, added an extra $50 to the cashout amount.
If the game eventually pulls off, I’ll be making more than 5x of what I bought it, but it’s a really tough decision to make because there’s really no guarantee that it’s gonna end in a win.
What would you do if you were in my shoes, Buy or Pass?
I can only risk that if the game remains to be played and again, it still has to be money I can afford to lose in gambling. But with four games remaining, there is still a long way to go, and it is a very big risk. The funny part, again, is that the person who wants to sell the game is still asking for extra money apart from the cashout. What kind of smartness is he trying to play when nobody has any assurance that the remaining matches will happen as predicted? So, even with the extra amount he wants to collect, it is still discouraging. In this situation, I will just pass. Even if I have to buy it, it would be better for me to pay only with the cashout on the account, but I will never pay extra.I see no reason to pay extra. If he wants to demand extra money, it should be based on an agreement that, if the buyer later wins, the buyer will pay the seller an additional amount that both parties have agreed on. I think that is the best way, even for someone who decides to take the risk.
