I have seen this happen especially in instances where a punter uses a betting shop to make this betslip and because cashouts aren't available this is one way to take your money out, and sometimes if say 3 games remaining to go, someone with the money can hedge and get to make money off remaining slip.. it's usually a win-win situation for those that know what to do

I would like to if the selling amount is lesser than the cash out amount. I'll make it easy for myself, I'll not continue the parlay and will just cash out. It's going to make us both money, he's got his share and money secured and I'll be also getting mine but, that breaks the parlay. Otherwise, it's best to avoid these sell offs when they can't take it anymore and just advise them to cash out anyway. The remaining number of games that needs to win is still quite a lot too.

If I were in your position, definitely I would not buy it. Instead of buying it, I can start my own parlay betting on 2/3 matches, which seems to me safest decision.

I can't take such risk, if the bet remains like 2 or 1 match to finish i will buy it from him because the risk is lesser than that of 4 games. I have seen someone who actually sold his bet but the buyer was very stupid because in the bet, the match that the bettor played to win was already losing by a lone goal but just because it was a big team, the buyer said they will equalise and get a comeback but it happened that the small team that was already a goal ahead scored another goal to make it 2 just immediately the guy bought the bet. Though he bought it exactly the amount that appeared in the cash out.

It's gambling and anything is expected to happen, when you have the money to throw around mostly if the ticket career is a known parley player with history of winning, is easier to get the bet sold and someone ready to make an offer for the tickets, but my question before buying the ticket off him will be his reasons for selling the tickets since 5 out of 10 games is already won, if I get a convincing reason and have such money is not bad to take it just trying my luck with the remaining games unplayed.

Here’s what really happened, a friend of mine offered to sell a 10 leg parlay bet which is already halfway done, 6 games are already green with a pretty good cashout option and 4 games left to clear the slip. So he offered to sell the game to me, added an extra $50 to the cashout amount.

I know that there is no way am taking such risk for any bet that isn't remaining something like a single game to be decided, I mean the option of the game is still plenty and there is 80% chance that you will end up losing when those games finish playing. I have made mention of greed which is the only factor that would make anyone even think of buying this game, I mean 4 games left undecided is a lot and we all know that gambling can be crazy sometimes; even the very fast game is not certain, not to talk of 4 games remaining. Well, I don't know for anyone, but I know I am not involving myself whatsoever.

If the cashout amount is bigger than the amount you purchased the slip, buy it and cashout immediately without waiting for the remaining 4 to complete. Note that in your topic, you didn't state the amount to be paid out from those on Green.

Compare the amount to cashout and the amount to purchase slip, then make your choice out of it.

If I were in your shoes, I probably wouldn’t even buy it even if there were only two bets left, haha seriously let alone with four matches remaining, as offered to you, OP. That’s way too risky,  it means you’d have to win all four sessions, and my question is, will your friend compensate you if it turns out to be a failure? If there’s absolutely no compensation, then I think it’s better to ignore that offer. Besides, why is he selling it? Does he need money urgently, or does he already know that the last few matches will ruin everything, which is why he’s trying to sell it?

I have seen people do this a lot, the risk is just similar or if not higher that playing live bet. I don't actually have interest in buying someone's game because I will not be too happy and proud to enjoy the winning if the game eventually play, I will feel bad like I cheated someone. I prefer betting on my personally predicted game and keeping the bet secret so that I bear both the risk and the reward a lone. Hence, I will never sell my ticket nor buy a ticket from a fellow gambler.

Let me guess the total money it will cost you to buy your friend parlay plus the extra $50 your friend asked you to add to the cashout should be around $100, and for you to get 5x of your money if the 4 games that is remaining in your friend parlay plays, this show that the risk in that parlay is very high and the game could fail which will leave you in a big loss if you buy the parlay according to your friend terms. Your  friend will never sell his parlay below the amount of the cashout so you should not buy the parlay bet, you can tell your friend to cashout his parlay if he is not sure the parlay would play completely.

I'm actually hearing about this for the first time, but if I'm in such situation and the amount of money i will be purchasing the ticket from my friend or whoever is an amount of money I can comfortably afford to lose I would buy it, beside even if I decide to predict my own games there's no guarantee that I will be winning my own ticket. Gambling is also taking risks, because the possibility of you predicting the outcome of a single match, let alone 5 to 10 matches on a single ticket is very small.

Agreed, these offers don't happen to everyone..for starters the betslip itself has to have high probability chances of going through..but then again this is old school now..if you have a good betslip on your account, again I will say hedge so that you walk away with a prize $$$.

5/10 is high risk I wouldn't dare, but if say 2 games or 1 game remaining..here you have a shot at convincing someone that you are in a winning position and all you need is to back the other two options if its 1X2  gameplay or generally remaining games and you just wait for winning fund's to hit your account.

A reasonable Gambler will not want to sell out a game that is already halfway to become a winning game, I still don't see anything that warrant selling of such, moreover, that aside, there is still no certainty of winning the game at the end of the day, you may just buy two risk losing and regret the entire proceedings, there is nothing for us to sit down to combine our own games together for play all alone.

I would definitely pass on this if I were in such a situation because what's the point of knowing risk management when one can't see this as a risk upon assessment and conclude how bad an investment and waste of capital this is.
It would have been better to pick the four remaining games and get on it with a better amount than buy it from a friend who would just be walking away with a free money because there's no saying the remaining games would click.

My recent parlays has taught me this lesson to know better because it's mostly just a game left that destroys the whole pick I have made after ignoring the chance to cashout and I can only imagine selling off the last few games only to destroy the trust of friendship we have built because of the lure of money.

I have not been offered such parlay to buy before but even if I'm asked I wouldn't buy because something could have been wrong with the games that's why the person wanted to sell the game because if nothing was wrong I don't think the money he could make on the success of the game will allow him to sell, it might seem that there is a high chance to win after buying it since 6 matches has already been successful but the fact remains that the game is still very risky and uncertain for the rest of the games to play, but if the person would agree to sell below the amount that's displayed on the cash out then it will become fair in case you would want to cash out at some points.

Someone has actually offered me this type of ticket before, and I bought it. The remaining match actually played out exactly as they were predicted and I won the ticket. However, it is very risky to buy such a ticket, but if you are the type of gambler who take risks a lot you can purchase it if you are offered such a ticket, because some of them usually playout. I have never heard of such situation before and while I will deny getting involved if at all such is true, my concerns will be why does the original bettor want to sell the game when he had already been in opportune of cashing out the significant amount according to you.
Is he not aware that while they will be negotiating price the game could just cut off to the list of the ticket? So he should use that time to cash out and walk away with what he had realized so far even if there is no profit made after all there are times we would even be anticipating to recover our wagering amount and we don't even have the opportunity.
Worse of it is that there is not going to be guarantee of the game being 100% trusted to be successful.
