If you're a good trader, why sell signals?

Some people have also made it a source of income and some people give it for free so that those who aim to trade can also earn like him and make a good life for themselves.

If you have a Signal group that has a large following, you'll end up limiting the free signals you share and introducing VIP groups that share signals more exclusively. I guess that's what I often see in free groups. 
There is a purpose for them to share signals. One of them is to develop their channel or group. The bigger the group you can build, the more you will think about commercializing your group as a source of income.

Being free at first is just the first step of a bigger plan. Once the group get big enough and has a stable following, they start monetizing it by creating VIP groups, charging money and promising better and more signals.

Or they keep the group free. But instead of sharing signals for BTC, ETH...they start pushing some random shitcoin on shady little exchanges. They can quietly buy first, then drop a signal so people in the group follow and push the price up, then they take profit.

No free lunch, imo.

This is an important point. I mean,  fact that someone sells trading signals doesn't bother me in itself. for me What Most importantt is Do they truly master trading? or Do they trully offer successful recommendations or are these merely stolen ideas or illusory signals?

If their trading signals are actually profitable, then why sell them to the PLEBS like us, no? Why not trade using their trading signals themselves?

If it doesn't bother you, would you recommend those signals for our fellow PLEBS?

More than 99% of people who share trading signals do that for the subscription money they get from people and may or may not be profitable in trading. I have seen many of them and one thing is common among them which is starting very well and ending badly. If someone is confident of being profitable as a trader, they will not want to be know rather they will be hiding somewhere and enjoying life with trading money. I have stopped listening to anyone claiming to be trading expert because I know where it will end.

Unfortunately that is true, I personally have had a bad experience with these people.

In the past, I subscribed to several free recommendation channels, but the results were not good.
After that, I subscribed to a paid channel, but unfortunately the promises were grand while the results were meager insufficient to even cover the subscription fees.

If it's truly EASY to make a very large amount of money that's enough to RETIRE YOUNG by joining a "paid subscription", then every fellow PLEB in BitcoinTalk would have already been rich.

Those "traders" in your subscription channel had a high probability that they did NOT outperform Bitcoin when they started their service.

The logic is, if they claim to be that good at trading, why provide signals to other people? Why not keep it all to themselves? That means their goal is just to make money from others ---regardless of whether the signals work or not, they just claim that it will work, and if it doesn’t, the ones who lose are others, not them.

It’s people’s right to believe in signals, but anyone who believes in something like this, even with something so obvious, is basically just fooling themselves.

Their reply to that is because the person who sells those trading signals doesn't have the capital to trade it themselves. BUT why sell it to PLEBS like is? Why not sell it to a whale, or someone where he/she could start a partnership with to trade his/her "signals"?

If the strategy is so valuable, then why sell it to PLEBS without exclusivity?

Because they're scamming us PLEBS, and it's the responsibility of the older members of this forum to tell newbies that.

Maybe not everyone selling signals are scammers pretending to be traders. But don't you agree most of them are?
If what you said is true and you're actually making profit from someone else's signals, then maybe you're pretty lucky. Tbh, I havent even seen a trader who can make consistent profit, let alone get rich from trading.

Most signal sellers I know are failed traders, and selling signals seems to be their main source of income.

Who is this trader, and let's encourage everyone to do their own due diligence before giving away their precious Bitcoin for those "trading signals".

I believe the biggest issue is that the one profitable month doesn't amount to much. It is possible for a trader to find a market that is conducive to their trading, and yet have no lasting advantage. I would be looking at the way the signals are functioning in the various times of market loss. And whether the original signals are still publicly verifiable as opposed to being edited later. Risk management is also important. A provider with a 70% win ratio may actually be losing money if the losses they experience occur on a regular basis and are significantly larger than the winnings. In my opinion it's better to have transparency over the course of time than the whole nine yards of victory screenshots.

I guess we can say that this is a personality, there are traders who are introvert so they will make a trade on their own and they are happy about that, others wanted to share their trading journey so they posted and share into their social media after that is they build their own trading community which tons of users can share, and discuss with their different strategy.

Right now its seems change because if you tried to visit into different social media some of the traders are just promoting some coin, shilling some tokens and even make their community as liquidity exit just for the sake of the money. Do you know whats their favorite phrase? "Do your own research". Here in my country tons of people want to make an investment but tired to understand and gain knowledge what they will wanted to invest. Others willing to pay basic trading signals filled their laziness. If you have a money aint a problem of course.

According to you, he's already rich and wants to help people. So why not share those signals for free and openly instead of selling them?

If you can easily turn $1k into $10k, then $100k or even $1 million, would you really wanna sell signals or just focus on making money? Honestly, I'm pretty skeptical about that guy.

Like Wind_FURY said, if possible, tell us who this trader is and let people judge for themselves whether he is really legit and whether you're actually making profit from those signals.

The gullibility of people is the reason behind some stupid tricks having a high ratio of success and more scammers are still going to use that same tricks to scam more wanna be traders if we don't wise up. People forget that if you keep trying something multiple times, you're likely going to get one correct but that doesn't mean what you're been fed is the correct thing. They can give you 10 guessed predictions and get 1 or more correct doesn't mean they're real traders and that's typically how this signal channels are using to trick you into thinking they're real traders.

You should know that the markets is a fighting ground between all traders therefore there isnst anyway I'll find a strategy that I can use to defeat you then I start teaching you so you can use too when I can just quietly used that strategy and make as much money as I want before it gets exposed unless, me teaching you is the way I'll make money because what I'm teaching has no value that's what's happening with the signals groups.

It's about time we get wise about somethings and reduce the advantages we give this scammers to take our money that easily.

I sometimes feel surprised too if they really managed to get profits in trading and that is certainly obtained why there should be a VIP group and paid, meaning even if for profit they can get it in trading and can be greater than the budget set for this VIP, so sometimes I think they can not certainly get profits in trading just to be able to make sure a lot of people so that others believe in it and join a paid VIP group. So I think creating a paid VIP group is another way to profit from trading that is still uncertain about its profitability.

That’s your perspective, i really appreciate it. But as someone who’s been a trader for about a decade, i’ve often come across signal sellers who just want to take advantage of newbies or traders who are desperate because they keep losing money in the market, people who think it’s better to just buy signals than to keep learning and losing. These are the main types of people they target.

THIS IS THE KEY POINT.

Most of the people i’ve encountered are just scammers, they can’t trade but still run classes or sell signals. To attract attention, they only show their profits while hiding their losses, even though transparency is crucial for earning full trust and making other traders realize that trading can’t always be profitable. Often, their members end up facing liquidation/margin calls, but they refuse to admit it and it’s not uncommon for those who speak up to get kicked out. That’s exactly what i experienced back when i first started trading, and it wasn’t just once or twice.

That’s why i always say it’s better to learn on your own, feel the pain of a loss and experience the joy of a profit firsthand. Over time, you’ll learn and grow in the market, you’ll become a trader with firsthand experience. You’ll understand that there will be days when you lose and days when you profit. What matters most is the FINAL RESULT, for me, that means looking at my account’s growth over the course of a month.
