I agree with you because 10 BTC is not just a word of mouth, it is the life savings of many. So in this case I would like to add another thing, he should stay away from the crypto world at least for a while. Scrolling through crypto group chats and social media pages that display all those fake luxury lifestyle was your friends biggest mistake. It is very clear that all those internet stories about scammers making huge millions for free are exaggerated, all to persuade and bait people. These days almost all the law enforcement agencies around the globe have seriously upgraded and advanced their tracking equipment and tools and so many cyber criminals are getting locked up regularly. Your friend have probably not heard about karma and how about going back to scamming the same people that scammed him instead of trying to hurt innocent people that has nothing to do with him loosing his holdings, indeed there are many ignorant people especially newbies and greedy people falling victim to scammers and maybe your friend was ignorant too hence the reason why he was scammed. I think that in such a situation, the right way is to collect evidence against the cheaters and complain to the relevant authorities and warn others about the fraud. It is true that people who encountered financial losses are not always in their right frame of mind because such experience can be traumatising especially when you laboured so much to gather that huge amount. 10 BTC is not an amount to joke with and it is surely an amount that someone who lost it will surely remember all the days of his life. You will not understand his pain till you fall into similar situation then you might even think worst things.
