Adoption can't be forced. If the people don't want to use BTC that's their choice. The hype around Bitcoin is pretty much gone, but maybe it will return for a while, when a new bull run and FOMO phase occurs. Don't get too hyped about the BTC lending, staking and DeFi part. BTC lending was a thing years ago and it never grew to a point where the big corporations and banks would see it as competition. DeFi is just a buzzword. The biggest use case of BTC is simply not relying on a third party to have control over your assets.
One aspect of this whole adoption thing that a lot of people often overlook is that, true adoption doesn’t have to mean that everyone is actually using Bitcoin. Even the usage of a smaller group who genuinely value Bitcoin’s potential and properties can be way more meaningful than a larger community who were actually forced to use it but lack the understanding of what they are actually using. The most important thing here is making people really understand what the asset is about and then give them the opportunity to choose for themselves because true adoption requires personal conviction.
That sounds right, every one don't have to be using Bitcoin first and by must before it can be considered true adoption. Perhaps, it is not written anywhere or part of the inventor's conception of forcing anyone to make use of Bitcoin for validation. Originally, it is a digital alternative means of payment that is decentralized before the discovery of other potentials that it carries, it is in the hands of general public to make used of it and by choice and that gives value to it and must not need the crowd to validate it.

True adoption should be measured by whether people actually find Bitcoin useful, and not whether everyone is actually using it. No matter how much potential a technology has, different people would always have different reasons for opting to use that technology, but those who are really helping the technology are those who know it’s true value and worth and actually appreciate it. Some may value bitcoin as a method of payment, while there are those who prefer it to be for long term investment and store of value. No matter what, people should always be free to choose  for themselves what role it should play in their lives, and that’s basically where true conviction stems from.

You're right but everyone is free to use Bitcoin for whatever usecase that suits them, if people are forced to use Bitcoin for a particular purposes that doesn't suit their ideology of adopting it then they might end up seeing it as not useful since it doesn't serve the purpose they need it for.

Anyone has the right to adopt Bitcoin for whatever purpose and with time they could end up liking other features, for instance a trader who initially used Bitcoin for short term gains willing switching to long term holding and investment purpose after a while.

You see it’s  possible for people’s reasons for entering into Bitcoin to change as they advance and gain more experience and knowledge with it. A person who only came for the short term promises of Bitcoin may eventually appreciate its scarcity, decentralization and of course long term potential. For me, adoption doesn’t really start when you started using Bitcoin, it starts when you finally discover its value for yourself and using it because you really appreciate its potential rather than just being pressured to use it in a particular way.

I think I'll answer what you've already told everyone: if BTC has a use, it can be used as collateral for loans, such as from decentralized financial platforms. Certainly, with BTC as collateral, many companies and individuals will trust it, as everyone already knows that BTC is a valuable asset

However, I personally prefer to hold btc and not use it as collateral for loans. Because the BTC I purchased came from discretionary income and money I could afford to lose, I have no intention of taking out a loan with BTC as collateral. However, of course, everyone has different opinions on this matter

So, judging by the title of your topic, we simply need to adopt a lot of BTC and see a lot of people adopting it, as it's clear that BTC is a digital currency. Hopefully, more and more people will adopt BTC so that all of us who invest in BTC will profit significantly

I think everyday payments are a stronger use case than adding more lending products. Paying a freelancer or buying something with BTC should be straightforward for both sides. What is the biggest obstacle right now: wallet usability, fees, or merchants not seeing enough demand?

There are plenty of payment methods aside Bitcoin and many of them did not have any global adoption, same way Bitcoin can't have global adoption. Bitcoin is already global scale, there is layer 2 transaction across different places, the governments literally recognize Bitcoin, the only thing that I think Bitcoin need now is government transparency, they should let's Bitcoin be a legal tender, it will create standard across the globe like the US dollar.

Many countries are fighting inflation, there stocks markets are not meeting with the rate, if they let Bitcoin becomes recognized, people can find a way to keep their asset on Bitcoin than watch their investments grows at decrement rates, let's there be freedom and right to adoption.

Making Bitcoin a legal tender everywhere isn’t gonna be as easy as it seems because every country has their own monetary policies and economic priorities. However, before people can choose to use bitcoin as an alternative asset, they’ll have to wait for the government to take the decision. One thing we need to understand again is that a wider adoption doesn’t only depend on legal recognition but also on people’s willingness to use it irrespective of its volatile nature, reliable infrastructure and proper education. Freedom financial freedom is when you have that choice and decide to take it even when the government doesn’t necessarily make or recognize Bitcoin as their official currency.

One thing people need to know is that not all government that will adopt Bitcoin no matter how people spread Bitcoin news because they prefer their own currency than Bitcoin. But government will not stop everybody in a country not to
use Bitcoin or nvest in Bitcoin, and if government try such thing with the citizens it will make many to relocate to another country that allow people to use Bitcoin and other crypto currencies in the country.

Actually, there is nothing that can prevent you from owning Bitcoin, even if it is illegal in your country. You will still be able to have your Bitcoin. But regarding its use, you may only be able to do P2P transactions with other Bitcoin users. This will definitely happen very rarely. That is what ultimately keeps Bitcoin as an asset for hedging or investment purposes, not for use. I am sure the government will not be able to obtain accurate data on people who own Bitcoin if your country bans Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is having enough features to stay in, but still it's never been recommended to use this as loan collateral because it always has enough volatility, and people will not feel comfortable with its price movement. Now few believe its baseline is set, but still it's never been guaranteed to have this as a long term investment, and keeping it all in your control is always best. Now hype has almost ended, but due to its nature and decentralization, it always has talk of town because many never like this and want to create negativity about this, but still adoption is increasing and things are getting on a good level. Its feature to keep and fight against inflation is surely bringing good impact on investors.

It would be better if we don't pledge BTC for loans and it would be better if we just hold BTC for the long term because if we think about it, it feels uncomfortable if our assets are used as collateral for loans, but of course, in this case, everyone's needs are different because people might pledge BTC for loans because they are in a tight spot. But again, it would be better if we just focus on investing in BTC and holding BTC for the long term so that we can be calm when investing in BTC.

Indeed, because BTC has many interesting features, quite a few people want to bring down BTC, but unfortunately, until now, no one has been able to bring down BTC. In fact, BTC is growing. Now I am curious about the future of BTC after more and more people are adopting BTC.

The interesting part is watching Bitcoin move from digital gold to infrastructure people can actually build on.

Native BTC lending, staking, payments, DeFi the next phase is about putting the Bitcoin people already hold to work without giving up custody.

What do you think will be the biggest use case for BTC beyond simply holding it?

We need it to become legal tender as that any shop would accept it. Right now shops accepting Bitcoin is like expecting them to barter over jewelry and gold. Sure, those things are valuable, but not accepted as a method of payment in most shops.

This is the hurdle we must overcome.

Bitcoin must become legal tender!

You could say that knowledge of Bitcoin is now complete and total; everyone knows more or less about its structure, the blockchain, transactions, smart contracts, the hype, and the potential for quick profits—yet, strangely, mass adoption is the only thing missing.

For me, the strongest use case beyond holding is settlement. Bitcoin is already good at moving value without needing a bank in the middle, especially across borders.
Your points are very vital and that is the reason why I believe the topic of this tread should have been more adoption and hype of Bitcoin, and not what the OP used.

I get the OP's point and what he meant but to me Bitcoin is not even hyped and adopted the way it should be, with Bitcoin present stands and how it has made so many people break through financial crisis and making so many becomes wealthy, it should have been hyped and adopted even more.

Bitcoin's consistency in value and it's portfolio so far since it's existence, have make so many people including myself trust and hoped  to invest even more in it.

So I believe those people hyping Bitcoin might actually be trying to make people know more about Bitcoin, it's worth and capability in changing ones financial status.

That is just the point people need to understand, not all governments have to move in the same direction, no matter how many positive benefits Bitcoin offers. Some countries governments will still never adopt Bitcoin or make it legal tender, and that is just how it will be. Every country's government has its own policies, so every country has its own way of viewing Bitcoin. Some governments view Bitcoin as something that has no impact on their economy. Even when they recognize that Bitcoin could play an important role in their economy, they may still refuse to adopt it because of certain people within the government who may not like Bitcoin.

It is not possible for a government to completely stop everyone from investing in Bitcoin. But, those who choose to do so may have to do it secretly. If a government prohibits something, anyone who tries to go against that law will likely face the punishment the government has established for it.When you talk about relocation, people cannot just relocate because of Bitcoin. They may have other reasons for relocating.

Countries or economies that are understanding the potential of bitcoin are doing things for having their share because in the last few months things are completely changing, and many countries are doing enough work for allowing use and trading of bitcoin. Just because of this, now it's going to be a big breakthrough in near future geopolitics, and it's having some impact, but without any doubt, now it has enough adoption with confidence. After every day, users are increasing just because of this. Its features are also increasing accumulation and trading with P2P. it just needs to understand a few security issues because now these are also important and need better understanding for staying safe and secure.

After every day, users are increasing just because of this. Its features are also increasing accumulation and trading with P2P. it just needs to understand a few security issues because now these are also important and need better understanding for staying safe and secure.
One thing I think is worth considering is whether adoption actually translates real economic use and not just more people acquiring and holding bitcoin. There’s only so much that government polices can do for us, yeah they can create new opportunities, but long term growth strongly depends on the level of trust the public has on Bitcoin and also having that understanding about how to use Bitcoin safely. Else increased adoption would only succeed to bring more users without even giving them the knowledge they need to protect themselves and their assets in the crypto world.

So, judging by the title of your topic, we simply need to adopt a lot of BTC and see a lot of people adopting it, as it's clear that BTC is a digital currency. Hopefully, more and more people will adopt BTC so that all of us who invest in BTC will profit significantly
People using bitcoin as a collateral for loan could be a means to skyrocket the adoption of bitcoin, just as everything that happens within and outside the crypto space could be a means of promoting the adoption of bitcoin.Even when the government is fighting against bitcoin to me I see that as medium where people get to know what bitcoin is because it would be all over the internet. But isn’t it to expensive to use your bitcoin as a collateral why not car or house?it’s so enthusiastic of most people that they would rather use their bitcoin as a collateral than withdrawing an amount that could just sort out their challenges, for instance Mr A possess 1 BTC in their portfolio and at the moment they need 41k dollars instead of selling their bitcoin they would rather use it as a collateral and continue their holding.

If more people are using bitcoin, it is still an indicator that the extent of  bitcoin adoption has greatly improved. people don't use what they don't believe in and find to be helpful to them. Before you can even effectively hype bitcoin in a manner that will lead to an improved form of adoption, bitcoin must have been doing well on it own.

investors that are into real estate, gold and other competitive asset are very vocal about what they are invested in and their believe in the asset they are invested in also draws others to joining them in getting involved in those asset. one way that even shows that you are a bitcoin enthusiast is when you are very positive about bitcoin and it potential.
