If only the banks won't mess up later, doing this means the banks knows your worth, you have an address and identity revealed, someone very bad can be working in the bank and sending your data out of the bank.
You said right. In any bank robbery that happened, there is always an insider, they have more disloyal workers than their loyal customers but they don't know. Not only data, many of their staffs steal from customers, there are many reported money diverted from customers accounts without traces, most is their hands work. You can imagine what they will do if they get their hands on Bitcoin.
One was exposed here, When you use a big property to take loan the prayer of banks is may you never be able to pay up so they can take over the property, and now Bitcoin?
It's a good news for people who want and likes the centralised advantages like this, but for people who prioritise their privacy it's definitely a no go road, we are only thinking about the positive side, what about the negative side?
We have worried so much about centralized exchanges and their custody behavior but this bank lending, I don't like it. There is going to be a lot of paper work if you are going to use banks as lending. The same money will take a lot of time to process and that depends on the amount of Bitcoin you are willing to collateral. When you need that Bitcoin, you are going to return the money and you will have to wait for days before you get the collateral back.
I don't just like the idea of this Bitcoin, the banks don't keep liquidity without doing nothing. They are going to put most into use to get back interest. There is so much at stake here.
