but im just curious, if no-KYC is actually becoming the norm or its just another marketing thing ?

what do you guys think: would you trust a casino more if it doesn't ask for your docs or does that actually make it more suspicious? -_-
It was the norm even if there was this KYC thing, since most of these casinos doesn't need KYC in the first place, probably yes with a mild KYC like knowing your name or email but it isn't that fully required. I mean, it depends, trust goes in a lot different ways but I'd trust it if they really make a name in the industry for example the known casinos.
The point is that most people use crypto because they want to keep their identities a secret so at the end of the day having to go through a KYC verification breaks the whole point of trying to be anonymous, if I want my identity to be out there then I would use a fiat casino. We've simply normalized KYC verifications as a part of our lives and that why we keep doing it but the more casinos keep offering opportunities to gamble with them without having to verify our identity then we will obviously jump at them.

You can say no to gambling if you feel like there is no point in crypto if you are been asked to pass some verification, there is no reason to come here and complain about it to be honest because it changes nothing.

If you are craving for a change then say no to any online casinos that want KYC for gambling and ask questions from those online casinos that are saying KYC is not needed, ask them what will happen if you hit thousands of dollars.

And if they still say there is no need for KYC then make sure you take the screenshot and date too, because if they change their words right after you can have some proof to use against them.

Everything seems easier to do for gamblers with no KYC casinos. It's not a new standard, but it seems that business players certainly find out what customers want the most. One of them is to remain anonymous in the casino. Of course, there are concerns, but with that, gamblers might not just put in their large funds for gambling.

Take it at your own risk.

Sure, it's appealing to gamble without any verification required but this is just too risky because you don't know if someday they will require it after you win a big prize. This is the reason why many gamblers stick with gambling sites or sports bookies with KYC verification. It's trusted. Most of them do pay heavy money without asking questions as long as you are a verified user.

Regarding those gambling sites that will just require KYC after you win, try to avoid them. Obviously, they are just using the no-KYC marketing to take advantage of people who have never experienced being scammed.

What you said is true but I believe there is something else people should think of. If you provide personal documents to a casino, you're also entrusting them with the responsibility of ensuring that those documents are kept secure. And it’s not everyone that will be comfortable with that, especially when they just wish to gamble with their cryptos.

But then again I wouldn’t necessarily just put my trust on a casino simply because they don’t request for KYC. I would still like to know if they have a good history when it comes to withdrawals and being fair to their customers.  Because why should you protect your identity if you can't get the cash out of it when you need it?

People are getting tired of KYC verification and this includes me too, it's not even about dropping my information on the internet but how safe my information will be on the hands of these people.

Many data information have been stolen from people who are supposed to protect the data, it's now safer not to share with anybody or any websites online, the wrench attack play of this year alone issue more than enough to scare many people away from KYC verification.

The problem with online casinos saying no KYC is that once you reached or net a huge amount of money they will still ask you for KYC, I've never won big money but that's the case always, and they will blame it on the law.

You just happen to have hit the exact core of the matter. Right from time, crypto was originally built for privacy and complete ownership, but right now, we see a lot of companies requesting people for their ID, proof of address, facial identification and all sort of things that violates privacy, and it Just wanna turn the whole thing into a normal banking system.

The only reason people are accepting it is simply because everyone else is doing it and no one is complaining, so we all just adapt to the rules. But in reality, the real core of crypto doesn’t encourage any of these and if a casino or a company really wanna employ the use of crypto, they should also adapt to these rules.

Know that, as privacy is important to you, so is KYC important to these platforms. People do illegal things with the platform, and for them to comply with AML policies to avoid government restrictions, they have to ask for KYC. It is up to you to decide whether to continue with the registration or find another alternative that will be in line with what you want.

I am not sure where you live, but from the USA to China, to Russia, to France, and obviously many smaller nations as well- dozens of them, all your information is already leaked. You think that when we all went online, and our ID and information were kept online, on computers, by our governments, hackers didn't really see that as a task? Every single country got hacked, every single one of them, and because of that we have all ID's online by now, so this is why many people feel like they do not care anymore and just straight up share it.

Correct.

And most of this new casino promoting “no KYC” are licensed casinos from Anjouan. They are not truly no KYC rather they are lenient on requiring KYC compared to other license providers but still they do ask for KYC to user.

Honestly, We already on the era that KYC is near inevitable if we want to use a reliable service of casino.

No KYC is just a marketing strategy. If they are licensed, then we can expect that they will enforce KYC when they ask for it. It's just that most of these casinos aren't very strict about enforcing their KYC, because the KYC process only happens if you win big or there's suspicious activity that triggers it. If users are just playing normally, I don't think they'll be subjected to KYC, although they still need to fill in some information on their account.

Well, the reason why people often choose a no kyc casinos is because they don't want to share their personal information.
Even if many gamblers choose a trusted casino with KYC to make them feel more safe, it' still not an option for those people who find it a hassle to submit documents.

For a no KYC casino that suddenly requires KYC, this can only happen because possibly they have a policy when it comes to having withdrawal limits, AML obligations, or those suspicious activities that requires additional verification. Wherein this info can also be found in their ToS.

In my opinion, KYC is not a very good thing in gambling, while a more standard thing is to give a chance to gamblers with their reputation and honesty. Although their deposit and withdrawal should also be fair and timely for them, this will give gamblers more hope with this gambling. KYC has become an excuse, so now there is no need for it in gambling, still some gambling dens use it and people who are sensible in today's time know that this KYC is not very beneficial for them. Although a gambling den consists of many things, the most important of which is their reputation and honesty, then the gambling den runs. Now people like to play in it after seeing many things in gambling, so now whether KYC is free or not does not mean much to them.

If all casinos started implementing this policy, they would be very successful because nobody likes having to hand over documents to get paid out of their hard-earned money.

Players think it's easier to go to a physical casino to gamble, where they only require you to be of legal age, than to stay in a casino that asks for documents if you have winnings. I hope this can prosper. Many years ago, casinos operated without KYC (Know Your Customer) verification; now everyone has been coerced.

Theres already quite a few names around 'no KYC' sectore like BC.Game, Shuffle, Frenzy and others.. going for different levels of crypto-first experience and less friction. Not saying all of them are fully no KYC tho cause thats another story.

That just means No KYC is a marketing gimmick for them, if not a lie.

Very very few sites are true no kyc right now, and i struggle to think of any except duel. Even they did kyc few people who might have been abusing something.

Its actually the opposite right now, almost every site is kyc required now, few years back even stake used to be fully operational without kyc. But now we cant even open an account there without entering our level 1 basic details

I believe KYC verification is something we should take for granted especially if we are making withdrawals from an official online casino. This is one of the steps of identity verification and fraud prevention conducted by the online casino. I must admit that if gamers wish to provide their personal details, then they need to make sure whether they are comfortable with this. That is why it is very important to read terms and conditions of the casino before making any financial investments or using their services.

Every gambler has their own preferences regarding what type of casino they wish to use. Nowadays, more fraudulent casinos have emerged. As a result, the majority of gamblers have lost trust in all types of casinos. From that statistic, reputable casinos with KYC do not hesitate for gamblers to play. However, for the sake of identity security, many individuals will use non-KYC casinos. But even if it is mentioned in the TOS, depending on the situation, KYC verification may be required.

In my opinion, focus should be given to trustworthiness and licensing. Because those casinos may be usable.

but im just curious, if no-KYC is actually becoming the norm or its just another marketing thing ?

what do you guys think: would you trust a casino more if it doesn't ask for your docs or does that actually make it more suspicious? -_-

It is just marketing I am afraid. The momentum has shifted long time ago. These casinos have to have a base country where they set up their company which are connected to the casinos. Otherwise they can't legally make any money and when they go illegal, they become targets. Since they don't want to rot in a jail cell, they have to follow law and lately no law maker allow  no-kyc casinos as far as I know. They can tolerate some low activity accounts but that's it. When you start shoveling hundreds of thousands of dollars to a casino, you'll get flagged immediately.

Most gambers are more on KYC gambling sites. I mean the online traffic on KYC gambling sites or more than the online traffic on no KYC gambling sites.

Some people are saying that the withdrawal on crypto gambling sites are faster, though I think this may be different in some countries, especially if the fiat gambling sites support more than wire transfer and if they are operating locally.

I think this wholly depends on the general reputation of a casino platform rather than if it is KYC or not.

The goal here is security and protection. If an online gambling website requires KYC documents to submitted but they are also regarded as the most established and reputable casino out there, then you would have all the security and confidence reposed on such platform. That would also mean that regardless if they are regarded as KYC or not, you would generally deposit or invest your money given that they have the means of security to protect your funds.

I also agree on this perspective.

Most gambling site nowadays advertise themselves as "NO KYC" but this is seemingly misleading at least 90% of the time. Sure, they can claim that they do not require any submission of KYC documents but that requirement would be essential upon withdrawing your funds from their website.

Yes, it is a red flag, but there are people that are complaining that a gambling site did not tell them that they make KYC mandatory until they wanted to withdraw. It is a red flag, but I make sure that I read a casino terms of service before I jse the gambling site. I do not read all, but I read the most important part like deposit and withdraw, use if VPN and restricted countries and some other things. Some of the gambling sites will make it clear on their TOS that KYC is mandatory.

But answer to your question, non-kyc was a standard like a 10 years ago, it's been slowly disappearing and most likely that option is gone in few years, because they are enforcing regulations harder and harder.
The government do not consider cryptocurrencies as money in 10 years ago, but they see them now as money.
They might not say it directly, but i have been reading lot of ToS in casinos that advertise themselves as non-kyc, and so far almost all the of them actually say in their ToS that are required to kyc you in some cases. Which means that they are required to kyc you in same cases that every other casino is required to.

I am not sure why they keep on lying about KYC though, because that's just misleading.

But rom my understanding that "casinos didn't tell me" are often from cases where they could just register and gamble without kyc until they won significant amount.

And this might be autistic nitpicking but governments aren't considering crypto as money, but as digital assets, so they can tax them.

NoKYC is just a marketing strategy because if you win big, you will be asked for KYC verification so, how is that a NoKYC casino. Don't be decieve with that NoKYC banner by these new casinos because some of them  know that majority of gamblers love privacy and would rush to use a NoKYC casino.

If you look around the gambling industry, the big casinos are KYC casinos and gamblers are cool with submitting their documents to these casinos because of their good reputation.

Maybe that's just their way of finding more customers, that's why they first indicate it as no KYC, and later a player win big they will demand for KYC for verification. From my perspective, I think someone should involved in or choose KYC casino rather than no KYC casinos, I mean for safety, security/ protection and proper verification. It doesn't matter whether it is a KYC casino, as long as it is a licenced casinos and it is also a reputable company you are free to make your choices.
