1. Darksend is for short time, therefore it wasn't anonymous at all.

What?

2. Darksend is at testnet, therefore it isn't still anonymous.

No.

If asked in absolute terms.... anonymous coins like these will succeed.

PS.
IMHO all coins claiming to be "anonymous" fail to realize that the major issue isn't the cryptocoin itself - it's the widespread NSA-infected operating systems their software runs on which are the main issue (outside some hardened Linux variants but which likely only very few people use). This is a problem they cannot address.

For the paranoid there are bootable usb sticks with said Linux variants available in Open Source where the people can verify it is legit. A coin alone can of course, as you say, only provide security within the coin itself. Others will still have to build upon it to provide the level of anonymity required. As an example, if you build the hardened linux usb stick (Open Source) with the i2p router (Open Source), and the zerocoin implementation in anoncoin (both Open Source) "the people" can claim back some of their privacy despite NSA efforts to control and monitor everything. I agree that this is something only a few users would utilize, but for those users it might be of great value.

Anoncoin.  I2P already implemented. Soon it will have zerocoin feature.
Anoncoin is truely anonymous cryptocoin.

I did some "high quality" technical analysis of ANC 1month chart from Cryptsy, take a look:

And keep voting!

The "other" coin that will make it big is the one that thinks of the end user, which is the merchants.
Any coin that puts mining above all else is doomed!

---

anonymous coin will be most useful in transactions where users do not wish to reveal their identity. So I think it will be big in totalitarian country.  Smiley

Anoncoin

There is a lot of misinformation and confusion going on about zerocoin and zerocash. Just like when media was dismissing bitcoin without even looking at it but now gives it the time of day, anoncoin's zerocoin implementation will have misinformation subside too.

Anoncoin's zerocoin accumulators do not slow things down, do not bloat the blockchain, are not hindered by the number of cores in a CPU, and does not need any trusted party/seed to get started. The I2P implementation doesn't reveal when you are acting as a node. The developers are actively working on it and committing to github and can be found on the i2p darknet #anoncoin irc channel

Gn0sis and Meeh, the Anoncoin developers have investors. They are working on Anoncoin full time, not relying on price pumps and some premine shit. The investors have been around since November 2013 or so, so this should be a counterpoint to Anoncoin's age, as Anoncoin is older.

I think there will be great utility in coins utilizing these technologies, and I hold darkcoin because darksend is a solution UNTIL anoncoin comes out.

Also anoncoin has a LOW NUMBER OF COIN UNITs, 4 million with a mere 850,000 mined and 5 anc/block. Probably the lowest of all cryptocurrencies. As a speculative trade, a single anoncoin unit will be worth a lot more than all other cryptocurrencies. This is just icing on the cake. Anoncoin currently has a marketcap of $1million dollars. A $4 million market cap is a 400% return, a 10 million market cap is a 1000% return, DOGECOIN's 42 million market cap would represent a 4200% return, and LITECOIN's market cap of 336 million would represent a 33,600% return on investment. $1,000 invested at today's prices would be $336,000 in the latter scenario. (Huh lost count please recheck the math)

Regardless if my decimal places and commas are in the right places, this supports my current position in Anoncoin as I view it as undervalued, and increasing my holdings at its all time lows as zerocoin implementation grows near.

Nobody knows what zerocash is yet. Not even the anoncoin developers. zerocash is different from zerocoin

My opinion on Darkcoin+Darksend is that it doesn't hold a candle to Anoncoin+Zerocoin in the pursuit of anonymity. In this regard I consider darksend to be inferior. I consider what is known about zerocash to be inferior. I have done a lot of research to find information that is not published well with the intent of making coin purchases before the market catches on.

With zerocoin, balances in the blockchain are not published. There is no pseudonymity, SHIT JUST DISAPPEARS plus you get different coins back.

In the deepweb, the next darknet site will have multisig and funds will be disappearing from address and reappearing in other addresses. Even if you want to buy clothes (instead of something illegal) from the next darknet site, would you be more comfortable with darksend *obfuscating* your transactions hoping that nobody puts it together, or will you be comfortable with a zerocoin blockchain that simply doesn't show what address balances or inputs/outputs are.

the utility is with Anoncoin+zerocoin implementation.

anoncoin is showing great promise but I doubt I2P protocol is what successful coin must have. I mean it's not the feature to push off.

I think 'anonymity' is the feature for coin to be successful in future and according to this feature - darkcoin and bytecoin will secced.

I feel like this is intentionally dense.

The I2P just keeps your actual IP address out of the node pool when you have any kind of wallet software running.   It helps anonymity but that isn't where the real utility is

Can you add BitMonero? The first clone of ByteCoin, fully anonymous and no need for masternodes (so 100% decentralised)
