Your response seems to implicitly acknowledge that XC's anon tech is costly and time-consuming to crack. Not 100% secure, but significantly better than the BTC status quo. Dont have a dog in this fight - just trying to figure out where the future is headed in this anon race. I've been skeptical about XC too (as well as DRK's approach).

I don't know about XC, but does it cost something to run a node ? If not, it would not be that expensive.

am very curious that one of XMR/MRO's chief devs couldnt level a stronger challenge here against XC, or rather take the challenge.

What are you talking about ? Ring signature is a perfect anonymous system except for the IP obfuscation as it is now.
That only flaw will be fixed when the client will be on I2P.
If you are talking about the market cap, consider that XMR devs or holders do not give a shit about it.
XMR is not ready for adoption and there will be no marketing before the technology is fully operational.

I don't recommend XMR for pump & dump. XC seems perfect for that.

What are the perfect conditions for a pump & dump? Unstable exchange rate or something else ?

If you are talking about the market cap, consider that XMR devs or holders do not give a shit about it.

Not true... speak for yourself, Monero Shill Emeritus.

All coin holders care about the value of their investments...
And the Monero thread goes hysterical when XMR takes a 50% hit like the last 10 days.

As for the Monero devs...
The #1 fiduciary responsibility of a CEO is to maintain the value their company's stock.

Since the Monero Group repeatedly states "they don't give a shit" about XMR price... AND ACT LIKE IT EVERY DAY...
At best they are seriously hurting the coin (because without a big capital injection you guys are going no where)...
At worst they are criminally liable in any country with a functioning Legal System.

The Monero stooges like you...
Constantly repeat that promoting a coin intelligently like the Vertcoin Group =  Pump and Dump.

You cannot take $5,000,000 of US investors money... and then say "I don't give a shit"...
Even if you are a fat, French ponce taking 3 hour lunches and 6 week vacations...
While your American competition is working 80 hour weeks to take you out.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

For the convenience, here's Monero Cult Dogma off the top of my head:

(1)  Monero is the next Bitcoin.

(2)  ONLY Monero has good anon technology, CryptoNote ring signitures.

(3)  Bytecoin and BCN Devs... who developed CryptoNote technology... ARE EVIL.

(4)  All competing anon coins must be attacked and destroyed.

(5)  Investors, XMR value, user convenience, a GUI wallet, etc is of no importance...
ONLY the glacial plans and work of the part-time Monero Devs matter... even if it takes 100 years.

IMO any coin that does not have a face of the developer representing, wont go far. I know it does not make much sense that a anonymous coin would need a real person behind it.

But have any other coins anonymous or not, With a anonymous developer ever made it anywhere ?

Dont tell me Satoshi Nakamoto. He was not the only developer.

Don't you have other things to do ? Because I have things to do.

No, I don't.  Neither do you.  You're on Bitcointalk posting nonsense, so I'm sure you have time to spare.  I like it when people that talk the talk, also walk the walk.  Yes, I'm quoting a movie.  How much BTC will it take for you to put up or shut up? We both know it's because you can't crack it.  Once rev 2.0 comes out the XC dev, Dan Metcalf, will put up a huge bounty.  I'm sure it will be enough for you.  I will hunt you down at that time.

I would like to vote for Vertcoin's stealth addresses.  Better than "anon" because they are verifiable in the block chain, just the destination is obscured.

What are the perfect conditions for a pump & dump? Unstable exchange rate or something else ?

You have to look the marketing and also :
What is the target audience ? Is it nicely written ? More visual than technical ? Is there enough hysterical noob account ?
The variance come from the noobs that buy when it goes up and sell when it goes down. It's called weak hand shaking.
When you know it, you sell when it's high and buy when it's low. Repeat. Profit.

How much BTC will it take for you to put up or shut up? We both know it's because you can't crack it.  Once rev 2.0 comes out the XC dev, Dan Metcalf, will put up a huge bounty.  I'm sure it will be enough for you.  I will hunt you down at that time.

You cannot crack a cryptocurrency because it's encrypted. We are talking about demonstrating that it is possible to know the amount of coins on an address and find who sent to that address, nothing more.
I'll definitely have a look if the bounty is enough.

If you are talking about the market cap, consider that XMR devs or holders do not give a shit about it.
Not true... speak for yourself, Monero Shill Emeritus.

And the Monero thread goes hysterical when XMR takes a 50% hit like the last 10 days.

Yes you hear me : Variations that happen in a 10 days span have no importance when you are holding for at least 6 months and probably 1 year.
Too many people are looking for an ultra-quick profit. It is not gonna work. Most people will lose.
In a pump and dump you are either a scammer or a victim.

You should read    rpietila if you want to understand about investment in cryptos :
rpietila Wall Observer - the Quality TA Thread Wink
rpietila Altcoin Observer

ONLY the glacial plans and work of the part-time Monero Devs matter... even if it takes 100 years.

(1) Monero (or any anonymous coin) have a totally different purpose than Bitcoin : Bitcoin is for transparency at any time, that's the purpose of having a blockchain, with address and transactions. You didn't know that ?
(2) The technology is the same for all cryptonote coins.
(3) The early miners of BCN are total assholes for mining a cryptocurrency over 80% for years without talking about it on bitcointalk. Even today, they still didn't make an official announcement. It is called a ninja-mine.
It has nothing to do with the devs though, I don't know why you confuse both.
(4) There are no real anonymous coin. The cryptonote technology or the Zerocoin technology are not complete. All the rest is bullshit and do not deserve any attention.
(5) An anonymous crypto MUST BE anonymous first. Sexy wallet and fan base won't make it anonymous. The problem is that if you repeat a lie enough, it become the truth in the mind of dumb people.

Supercoin SuperSend wallet is already fully functional (non-beta) on the live network and has one of the fastest anon transfer.
Phase 2 anon which will be a fully trust-less p2p system with multi-signatures is currently being tested also.
Lastly, it's the first (and only?) coin that feature random PoS SuperBlocks. It's worth keeping an eye on it IMO.

Synccoin and vootcoin are using Nitesend - decentralized anon based on coinjoin

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=607919.0

Make sure you add update your conf file, remember this is a beta version and don't test it with large amount and post any bugs in our thread.
