There is no more of less anonymous. It is anonymous or it is not.
That's a fallacy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anonymity#Mathematics_of_anonymityAnonymity is not an absolute. That is, the degree of anonymity one enjoys may vary. Masternode 1 cannot know the address of the receiver (...) Masternode 2 is unable to determine the addresses from which the original funds were sent. Evan Duffield just admitted that he lied. Darkshit is not anonymous and never been. You can know the address of the sender and receiver. Everything is just transparent. How can you be so naive ? He now add some mixing but that doesn't change anything. This was obvious. Mixing does not provide anonymity and never will. Stop being naive. Grow up and educate yourself. You're not gonna get a Ferrari from buying Darkshit with your daddy's money. It has always been anonymous, the degree of anonymity is just constantly being raised while the development goes further. With the latest improvements, it is anonymous for all practical purposes. You can NOT know the address of the sender and receiver. Nice post

If XC Rev 2.0 delivers what it says it will, then I have to say that one takes the lead by a fair amount. Having a trustless system that comes built in with every wallet will make their entire network anon, and 100% decentralized. I'm not sure how everything else that is centralized or even semi-decentralized can compete with that. It's not really possible to make anon any better within the network itself. Another different option for anon is cross chain trading which BlackHalo now offers because in that case you'll just end up with dead ends on both chains that have no connection between the two.
Also, on DRK is it just me or does Masternode 2 know both the sender and receiver in their most recent flow diagram? I was under the impression that "random change addresses" are still tied to your personal private key.
It has no way of knowing that those change addresses are tied to any other address.

I'm hoping XC takes the lead in this field. I've bought a few of these anon coins and my gut tells me that XC is one of the few that have real potential to last and grow. I think to some extent the competition is good and promotes innovation and opens avenues that will only expand the growth of crypto to the masses.

As someone who's a relative newcomer to anon coins (don't all shoot at once please!) I think there's scope for the coin which can get its case in order with the average joe to prevail. No one out there really gets the impact of anonymity, far less degrees of anonymity, and it should be some part of the mission to educate..

People will learn the hard way why they need to protect their privacy. Their has been more then enough cause for alarm with the News on Snowden about spying and data theft by the feds. That is just the tip of the iceberg. I think those that claim people worried about privacy have something to hide are a lost cause atleast for now. It may sound harsh but I honestly believe it. For the average joe I do think it has to be broken down on a generic level like most things this complex. I know I have trouble keeping up all of the in and outs of the anon coins.

What kind of news? However I think no one of them will succed like BTC. But big chances for XC, DRK, XMR.

Most innovative and proven annonymous technology so far, imo, is SuperSend used by MammothCoin and SuperCoin. Just check it up and you'll see what I mean.
My vote goes to Mammoth.

Objectively speaking, Monero is the only coin with actual future. If any other coin wins is because of hype and marketing and not because it's a better product.
