I've said it before and will say it again. Those waiting for 600 like blackcoin did after PoW are kidding themselves.
Ride the waves, gents. It'll be bumpy, but well worth it in a couple weeks.
mfw I didn't buy a shitload of wc @800

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Report those orders to mintpal support. They have publicly stated they do not like spam orders because it slows down their trading platform, and it is also a form of market manipulation (which they don't like).
an exchange which doesn't like market manipulation and spam orders? must be some kind of joke this is how they make their bread and butter

an exchange which doesn't like market manipulation and spam orders? must be some kind of joke this is how they make their bread and butter They don't like those order because someone sits there and clicks buy over and over for the same amount in a short period of time. It slows down their system and uses up resources, which makes the site slower for everyone. That is their reasoning. They are also not fans of blatant market manipulation--everyone has their own opinions right? I hang out in the #mintpal IRC a lot, and this what mintpal Jay and Jason have said.

Was absolutely gutted I missed the 830 today - was stuck working a day contract and the local network blocked all my wallets so couldn't get the funds on to mintpal (actually tried to use 3g and wifi hotspot but was just way too slow). Have traded up 500k in DOGE for Whitecoin at 1010, now only holding Vertcoin and Whitecoin at the moment. Will point all my rigs over to chunkypools.com, loving the switch over concept - very well thought out! http://hdwallpappers.com/images/wallpapers/Fly-Me-to-the-Moon_movie_wallpaper.jpg

http://wc.scryptominers.com/Our servers and DNS registrar were compromised on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 01:57:49 UTC/GMT. Redirect your miners to another pool until further notice. If you are still mining on any of our stratums, STOP immediately and switch to another pool. The IP that has accessed our server, proceeded to withdraw coins from our pool wallets over a period of 12 hours: 193.138.222.26 IP Trace: http://www.ip-adress.com/ip_tracer/193.138.222.26We have regained access to our DNS registrar and have pointed all pools to this page. The extent of the damage is significant. We are doing everything in our power to recover coins from each of the multiple pools we run. Additionaldetails on this to follow. Know that we will cover as much of the loss of coins from all of our pools that we can, and we will be back online as soon as possible. Steal peapols coins and they its not me its some hacker..i heard that lie allreadu 10000 times in cryptoworld. I want my coins. bolje bi vam bilo da vratite ! it will be better for u to give it back!

I have been making incremental buys at all prices. I just wish I had the fortune telling skills to stock up at 800. I ain't even mad though, anything under 1500 is bargain basement prices as far as I'm concerned.

Wanted to ask the forum's advice as I'm new relatively new to trading - should I keep all my wc on the exchange or keep them secure on wallet and transfer to the exchange when needed? I've noticed exchanges can be slow to transfer at times (especially mintpal) and it'd suck to miss the boat on a price hike, but I've also read a number of posts of people losing money on them - hacked accounts and the like? Are sites like Mintpal and Cryptsy trustworthy enough to hold large coin stashes? TIA!

I use a protected, backedup wallet, and use those exact exchanges with TFA, and or email confirmation.

If you aren't day-trading I would suggest moving your coins to your wallet on your PC. You will also be able to stake your coins in a couple days as well.

Is there going to be a wallet update coming soon to allow minting/staking/etc. I'm not seeing that in V1.01, or I've missed the commands to turn this feature on.

Just something I whipped up I like it too. Could you do a version where the W is more embossed, and possible a little more surface finish on the blank portions. I think that texture will make it look good. But you're the Artist! Any chance of getting a "The White[coin] Album"

Still a few big dumps coming. If you look at the week long trend and the buy pressure Whitecoin should hit 700s tonight. Then it will start moving up.
