Hi guys,
Just signed up to miningrigrentals.

Watched the tutorials, read the help etc. Still, dont understand, where do you put your payout address for a rental? I can only see a section to enter a bitcoin address, ie what about other currencies. Any help appreciated!

Ps- havent rented the rig yet, just wanted to check first.

You have to point the rig at an actual pool.  MRR doesn't convert or hold any of the coins you generate with a rig; you would setup the payment address at the pool you are using.
The trust scores you see are subjective; they will change depending on who you have in your trust list.

OK, so I just tried signing in again for the first time in a while, and got this message:

Expired Username. Account was closed due to inactivity of longer then one year. Contact support for further information (See Help Center)

Never had that happen before, anywhere...
I also never got an email that you were going to close my account.

BTW, I had to post here as this is essentially one of the only options, since you need an account to create a ticket in your system.

Also, what is the rationale for closing accounts for non-use in an era where Amazon & OpenStack cloud VMs make storage cheaper than ever?

Seriously, there are cloud storage companies GIVING AWAY GIGABYTES OF STORAGE FOR FREE -
but you guys are closing accounts without notice, and, as far as I know, pocketing any bitcoin in the account's wallet.

Doesn't make me want to continue mining with your company...

Just like any other site, we're the subject to attacks. Many people use weak passwords, or the same one on different sites. Closing inactive accounts increases security.

We'll review the pool.

Its also best if you open a ticket with support so we're aware of the situation. Thanks.

I WISH renters would stop using crappy pools or crazy difficulties on the rigs, then get bad and unstable hash rates and complain and get a refund. UGH.

The past week all I had was people with either crappy pools or mining who knows what with bad configs causing problems with my L3+.

I switch it back to my backup pools and all is 100%.  Angry

I've just got back into crypto mining again after a few years and stumbled across mrr whilst looking for decent pools, I rent my rigs out and also rent a couple now and again to test returns on hash power. I have found Merc and the team very helpfull and fair with issues and personally think they are doing a great job with an excellent site and service. I have now bought an antminer l3+ and look forward to receiving it and also renting that out. A big thumbs up from me keep up the good work it is much appreciated. Also if you need any help with anything technical drop me a pm, I work in tech support mainly infrastructure specialising in vmware and networking but also do a lot of windows server and a bit of linux.

Happy mining people, may we all get rich quick lol.

What are people mining for Scrypt currently? Hash rates are unstable and difficulty is 40-50x recommended levels vs normal scrypt mining a few weeks ago.

Anyone know? Whatever it is, the coin or the pools for it suck.

Yeah, I've put my L3+ back on a normal pool and it's rock stable and smooth again.

These rentals can actually mess up the ASIC. I had one renter, whose pool or settings stopped one blade from working on the L3+.
Then when the rental ended and the miner reset, all back to normal, then crappy again when the guy rented again. UGH.

Hello MiningRigRental.
I'm new on MRR and have some questions.
I do not understand calculation of Transaction fees. How does it calculated?
--------
Are we allowed to change our Favorite Pool by API call ?
Can anyone explain how Transaction fee of payout is calculated?
I have 0.01 BTC and Transaction fee is  0.001091. Its crazy more than 10% for withdrawal.
Is it fixed amount or percentage ?

We charge what we are required to pay to the bitcoin network for your withdraw. We charge the least amount possible. We cannot offer discounted or lower transaction fees due to the crazy high price and the low fees in general we charge for our service.

Make sure to tell us to set minimum difficulties on your rig to prevent it from having issues due to low difficulty.

We could use someone to browse over and offer advise on any areas of our site we need to update, have neglected, or has some sort of issue or flaw. Ideas to add new things renters or rig owners would like to have in order to help them in any way.

Is this essentially the same thing as buying hashing power like with hashflare or Genesis-mining?

It is. In the recommended difficulty info as well as spelled out in the rig description.

hey MRR what about a thing to view hashrate adverage over the last day or week or month ... reason im asking this is cause seeing 5/15/30 mins are nice but would be nice to see what your adverage over a longer term is due to spikes in difficulty and what not ... sometimes your hash is really high over span of a hour vs a day

if you could get this up and running i would love it ... would also be good for rig owners that way you can price adjust for longer terms better in my opinion

thanks for looking and have a good day
