I think this coin is going nowhere at the moment. And the biggest problem is this huge premine.

Premines always worry potential investors. If the coin starts to rise significantly in value there is always a risk the dev could dump, leave the coin practically worthless, then disappear. I'm not saying this coin's dev will dump, just that it could deter potential investors.

There's always either premine or instamine, otherwise the devs wouldn't have any incentive to develop/improve the coin.
Also, ironically the huge premine sort of guarantee that the dev wouldn't dump it all at once.
If the SPC had, say 50,000 premine, there would be a risk that Suresh would dump it all during first price spike and then disappear. With 1 million it's simply impossible. Therefore, from Suresh's point of view, the best way is to keep selling smaller amounts over long period of time and further developing/promoting the coin and try to drive the price up.

Also, part of the premine can be used for giveaways, bounties etc. I hope to see SPC android wallet soon.

There seems to be a lot of misunderstanding about SPC and its potential.
I won't focus on issues that have been thoroughly dealt with or are self-evident; EXPLE "pre-mined."
The issues for every altcoin are: potential, marketing, support, community, exchanges, market traction and adoption. Every altcoin depends on Bitcoins market traction and adoption.

This will be a long process and won't see significant gains till starting this Fall (4-8 months away.)
Those gains in market traction for Bitcoin must also contend with a downtrend valuation in Bitcoin and increased liquidity sales in all cryptocurrencies. So it is unlikely we will see Bitcoin itself gain noticeable traction and adoption in less than 10 months.

There is a slight chance that the FATCA IRS law going into effect July 01 will have some effect on the crypto currency industry and Bitcoin but cannot be predicted. So if you are expecting some huge gain immediately in SPC or any altcoin; you misunderstand how this market works. Sure; some coins have a great run, some settle in high or low. However you must have a longer range projection of SPC or any altcoin to summate its value.

As I see it there are only going to be a handful of very well adopted Altcoins amongst the hundreds of contenders. The reasons for their adoption are a blend of utility, potential, marketing, support, community, exchanges, market traction and adoption. The ones that don’t answer the areas above will fall to the back of the pack.

As Bitcoin rises and falls so also will the swell of altcoins. When Bitcoin passes $540 and holds steady the swell of altcoins will significantly increase. SPC should be well entrenched by that time and have significant exposure. During the climb of Bitcoin from $485 to $540 you will see a much healthy crypto trading submarket.

At this juncture there are only a handful of coins that have the potential to be real money makers. DarkCoin, BlackCoin, LiteCoin, DogeCoin, Vertcoin, NameCoin, PeerCoin, and several others. I believe SPC stands equal footing with them or maybe even better due to its inherent structure having the ability to create value.

This Community however needs be more helpful and proactive. Real coin adoption must get early traction. We only have less than a year to get that. I will be promoting this coin on at least one website that should get considerable traction.

People need to pitch in for the long haul; otherwise move along.

SPC is designed to "create value" in it's structure via interest coin earnings. (SPC held is SPC gained)

IF the Dev is legit, IF interest and developments continue for SPC to properly mature and market it.
(Meaning it just doesn't die on the vine due to lack of proper promotion, dev work and misc adoptive efforts.)
Then I base the coins merits on "structure" - It having just as much chance to succeed as some of the other top coins.

It appears that to truly create demand side pressure would need to follow the newest trend in coin success and that is to create a mining pool that then allows devs and "monetary policy" police to create value and uptrend in an altcoin.

Without clear and solid traction that is what is working right now.

The dev has been silent for over a week now. That bothers me more than the price drop.
If he doesn't show up soon, we may as well forget about SPC and move on.

everything and every part of the ownership block and website etc etc.

I've been busy with life since I'm setting up a new business in real life too. Sorry for the lack of updates, however the coin is still being worked on and of course interest payments are being paid out without my intervention.
Been having internet connection issues too. Those should be resolved soon, apologies once again.

I'm not too concerned about the lack of interest in this coin just yet, this is still very early stages and a comeback will be due soon once I finally get an update pushed out

Glad to see you are still hard at work behind the scenes.  Some of us, including myself, have been doing our best to promote the coin as well.  Many people out there still looking for a viable alternative to BTC, they just need a little more encouragement before they jump on the band wagon.

Thanks for reaching out to us.  We will keep your market around for another week and see how it does.  We really want all of our coins to do well but sometimes they get abandoned by their devs or people would rather trade on other exchanges.
