i've started a test pool:

with dstorms cpu miner:
https://bitbucket.org/dstorm/cpuminer-x13

and the dev's python module.

it *should* work but we really only know if we found the first block, please do not throw everything you have in the pool, it might not work:

https://maru.suprnova.cc

I'll work on it, but this is all new, new algo, new code .. so stay safe and mine with the wallet while throwing your extra hashes in the pool.

thx
Doesn't work

  • 180 seconds Blocktime
  • Block reward is controlled by: 444444444/(((Difficulty+2600)/9)^2) starting from block 2000, we expect CPU's before Block 2000, so reward is higher. Start mining as fast as you can ! Smiley

Are you sure that the reward is higher right now? it's 487.50 at the moment, but if we use your formula the reward will be 10x after block 2000

lets say that difficulty is 10 by the time we hit block 2000:

10+2600 = 2610
2610/9 = 290
290^2 = 84,100
444444444/84,100 = 5,284.71

am I doing something wrong?

Edit: Nevermind I checked the source, it was a typo in your OP, real formula is 4444444 not 444444444

This was a pain to compile. Probable die to the fact that this is my second time compiling anything. I have created a .BAT file for use with the suprnova pool - don't forget to create workers and edit this file.

I'd sign up, its only a little cpu so a pool is probably best idea,   Is there a way to self compile easily

I have added Marucoin to The CPU Coin List

Does anyone know if there was a premine? I didn't see that info.

If you don't have a fast CPU it may take a while before you find a share. I'll try to adjust the minimum diff and fix some of the stats tomorrow.

Code:
./minerd --algo=x13 -o stratum+tcp://maru.altmine.net:8743 -u T22address -p password
Try `minerd --help' for more information.

doesn't seem to like -a x13 or --algo=x13 ?

You need miner with x13 support: https://bitbucket.org/dstorm/cpuminer-x13

Difficulty 4.4 on CPU mining?

I really doubt there are 700 core i5 mining this... someone already has GPUs on this, I'm guessing devs had the GPU miner ready before release.

That's very strange. Are you sure you typed "-a x13" with lowercase x?

LOL yup that was it. Also passing -t 11 instead of using all 12 threads to keep the pc responsive. Thanks for the help.

Diff is slightly discouraging now Sad
