That was just a rumor. I will believe it if facebook officially announce it in public. But i believe it will happen when they finally open their mind about bitcoin.

They only accept creditcards and paypal.  If you want to pay using your btc,  why not use virtual debit cards can be fund using bitcoin?

Bitcoin users are willing that when the bitcoin will be accepted as a payment in shops and other palces like facebook and other online site so I want to tell him that bitcoin is not still on the stage when bitcoin will get large number of users in world then you bitcoin will be accepted as a payment.

The answer is no, just think about it Facebook is a social media and that can be downloaded freely so where is the question of charging money for downloading it and for using. So Facebook is nothing to do with bitcoin, FB just a platform for connecting with the people. It's just a kind of false news that's it.

You just don't get it, facebook opens a service to advertise someone else service or company and they will need to pay for it, currently they only accept credit card, and paypal. what we're talking here is that if Facebook accepting bitcoin to pay the facebook advertisement to advertise us. Downloading facebook is indeed free but the company will not running if not because their revenue of these advertisements.

I’m not so sure about this. I doubt that facebook has already started accepting bitcoin. Although, I’ve read a lot of some kind of advertisements about bitcoin in facebook, but still I don’t think facebook or the company itself already accepts bitcoin.

According to my opinion there is no such trading on Facebook that can accept bitcoin. But according to my experience till there are very few places where bitcoin is accepted but in future it is more possible that world will start accepting bitcoin.

I think this can happen very soon because both are digital softwares and they both need each other. Facebook  has nothing to do with the type of currency it is just concerned with money, keeping that in mind I think that very soon one day facebook will accept bitcoin because people relay more to use bitcoin for digital payment and other procedures, rather than any type of paper money. Not only facebook but whole the world will accept bitcoin very soon.

Accepted by facebook though for what? If it's just about advertisements, anything can br advertised on facebook. It's not as if facebook is selling or offering anything that can be utilized through bitcoin.

This is already a 3 year old thread but answering this on present time would really be important which those assumptions isn't happening yet as of now on where facebook isn't still adopting bitcoin as of these days on year 2017 and its the end of the year already but who knows if the owner would decide up to adopt it on next year 2018. It would really be great but for sure it would really need to pass up many argumentation and analysis if they would decide to accept bitcoin into their service.It would be a convenience for all bitcoin users who do make use facebook.

Facebook will accept bitcoin? I do not get it. Accept bitcoin as payment? Who will pay? The users? Me, when I use facebook, I do not pay for anything except if I ordered something in online shops in facebook. All I know is that there are shops in facebook that accepts bitcoin like the shops that is all about gadgets. They posted the details of payment so I notice it nut I did not try it.
You heard rumours? Well, from what you have said “rumour”, it may happen it may not it may be true, it may be a lie. And last time I check, if that is rumour mostly the story change as it pass to different people. Maybe the real news is has been added some details or maybe some details are not told.

facebook accept bitcoin there is no guarantee facebook is thinking about accepting bitcoin they already accepted whatsapp and instragram right now it seems like facebook is getting ready for another new technology by accepting bitcoin the company is ready t provide financial services and electronic money it isnt so much that facebook accepted instragram and whatsapp but they rather bught them out this is very similar to how all in app purchase must be done via the itunes apps store i could see facebook potentially accepting BTC.

Maybe in the future facebook will accept bitcoin as a payment but now i think it is just a fake news.
