Is it me, or is this coin minting MUCH less in POW than it's supposed to?  We've minted 23,543,797 coins in 23115 blocks and POW ends at block 30240....  This being the case, this coins seems severely undervalued.

I agree. Will the dev please explain the total number of coins at the end of pow please, not just guesses from others.

The math I have is Day 1 - 1000*4320 =  4320000 + Day 2-7 4000 * 25919 = 103676000 = Grand Total POW coins 107996000 + a small amount of POS interest.  Then it goes full POS, and even in the first 7 days of the 10% a day of POS, we'll just about double the coins to 200Million.  So another 800million will be minted at 3% a year, which will take quite some time.  Does this sound right?

Exactly, we are way low on total coins minted versus what the plain math says, about 1/3 or so by my calculations.

Great move Specialkey...I wrote to the YCproject and he told me, that if I wanted to do something the best thing would be to spend a few BTC on Mintpal voting.
I did and spent 0.01 BTC...this is the minimum I could do.

please can i get some help? seems i cannot mine this coin, tried both cgminer 3.7.2 and sgminer but they start, after a few it stucks without creating the .bin file...  can you post the link of the correct miner? and what should I write in the bat file? --scrypt or some other special scrypt?

so I started mining yc two days ago and today I got my first POS coins 18.55 but after it got confirmed I only recieved 0.0025YC , is that normal ?

this coin made one of my mining machines explode today !

it was sitting to my right on a stand that my mouse was on when all of a sudden all at the same time
i heard a couple super loud banging popping type noises a really bright flash through my see through PC case side window
and a flood or nasty smoke started coming out like crazy !

Running scrypt in a closed PC case is a bad idea, why do you think all rigs are on open air custom cases? if anything had to do with this

it's just poor ventilation and overheating..

CPU mining this? uff that's going to be even hotter then.. true you have not told anything about a card, but seriously mining with CPU's is really not worth it plus you risk damaging your CPU what happend to you.
the only time I have CPUmined was to try out CPUminer and when I saw the temperature the CPU would go I was like F this shit no way I'm risking that.

You didn't have an temperature monitoring app running that prevents your CPU from overheat? there are tons off app were an alarm goes off if it gets too hot, and some can even put your PC to sleep if it gets over a certain temp.

my temperate was perfectly fine.. i have made my own pc and modded them since 1999 so i don't need much advice eh
i lapped the cpu that was running for example and the Nvidia gpu i was running was as hot or hotter so your logic is well.. bs lol
You have no clue who your dealing with so why bend over backwards lecturing me and scolding me for running my pc ?

the psu blew up.. heat or what i used to mien with actually had nothing to with it.. it was the load and extreme old age of it that caused it to fail.
i know this because i opened the case up and took they PSU out.. i didn't assume things over the internet lol
